Corinna. Awesome letter. I hope more like it get sent to DCL. Again awesome job.

Thanks. I was just worried that I was laying it on a bit heavy, but this is how I feel. I resisted the temptation to let them know what a waste of space the Cruise Director was.

You should have. I had no problems including my complaint about Clayton and how he should be resent to a class Disney gives when you are first hired. It is called Traditions. So if you haven't sent it, I say include it.

GREAT LETTER, I myself feel it is a good thing not only to sent good e-mails but negitive as well.....otherwise how are they going to know/learn/fix the problem

Great job, and thaks for the welcome

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Great letter Corinna. Most of what you said I wrote in my letter when we first came back from the PC. I will send another one with basically the same concerns, except our waitstaff were definately not up to Disney standards.

If there is interest here, I would be more than happy to offer the jewellery making workshops again. I will need to think up some new projects.

Corinna, I would definitely be interested in doing another jewellery making class, along with my friend who is joining us this year, So count 2 in!

Your letter is worded well and honest, Thank-you for posting it. I will take some ideas from it when I write my own. I didn't experience any of those issues as I wasn't onboard, But having read all the complaints I don't want it to happen again! :goodvibes:

Sorry about the weather news. Take today for example. It is overcast here by LAX and the sun is struggling to push through. By the time May rolls around it is everyday until July. It is just the way it is here. The good part it that it really doesn't get to hot during the day and the overcast skies make it not to cold at night. It really is my favorite time of year weather wise.

Thanks for putting a positive spin on it! Hey, we'll be on the Disney Wonder sailing to Hawaii, I can't expect perfect weather aswell....can I?

PS - My Smilies aren't working when I click on them, is anyone else having the same issue? Have I done something?

OK.....so hearing that Ken & Shari have not been able to book this cruise, I guess that Jason and I WILL throw our hat in the ring to organize the lanyards.
.

You did such a great job on the WBTA, we would love to contribute again

Trevor & I would be more than happy to contribute to the Lanyard Team again Jason. We wore ours at WDW after the cruise and we had many conversations about the cruise while waiting in the lines, it was a great way to pass the time...

Corrina-I would like to try the jewellry workshop again, only this time I'll make sure I don't do a wine tasting just before....

Jordak, AKA Marty, who has designed many of the cruise logo's and magnets, has offerred to develop something for our cruise. When I hear back from him I'll post it and see what you all think.

Val

When I called Candy Cane about rooms I did ask about a group rates and was told 15 rooms minimum and cant't guarantee rate until all 15 are booked. On our Hawaii cruise in 07 it was quite rocky and even closed one of the pools and barf bags were on the stairs. Coming back to LA was even worse. But we love it like that.

For us, If we are going to fly all the way from Australia for a cruise it needs to be a decent amount of time on board. :)

I so hear you ... glad I'm not paying for 5 though :scared1:

Any other cruisers from the EBPC in 2008?

There are a bunch of EBPC 08 alumni ;) If you join the FB group for this cruise, there is a "six degrees of separation" spreadsheet

Well, it looks as if I'll be monitoring this thread for awhile....not because I'm going though. :sad2:

Awwww that wouldn't been cool if you could come with us Tom! Sorry you aren't joining us!

:welcome: Hi Beth. I remember you and Harry from the 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise. Congratulations on your wedding. I got married May 22, 2009 on the Disney Wonder. We can celebrate our anniversaries on this cruise.:bride:

Bev

Hi Bev -- large parts of that cruise are a blur to me, because I broke my arm on the third night, but I do remember your disboard name -- will be great to see you again in person. Best wishes on your marriage!

Beth (and Harry)

Corinna, that it a fantastic letter you sent to DCL. Everything you said was our experience too apart from the pins and merchandise but that was because we didn't buy anything. Well done.

I don't want rough seas, I really don't.:sad2:

Tell me about it! :scared1::scared1::scared1:Not looking forward to the girls becoming 'adults' in the eyes of Qantas, that's 11!!! This will be the last children's fare flight for Lucy! Then it's 3 adults and 2 children!:eek::eek:

Neither! Barf Bags on the stairs are not my idea of a perfect holiday! :headache:

PS - My smilies are back?

I just instantly took against him. I got the strong feeling that he did not want to be there. I also heard some horror stories from other people how he had spoken to them. However, as this is all hearsay, I could not really include this, but lets just say if one of my staff would talk to customers like this, they would be out of the job before they knew what had hit them. You do not say to a customer with a legitimate complaint that maybe they need to consider if DCL is the right cruise line for them.

Great letter Corinna. Most of what you said I wrote in my letter when we first came back from the PC. I will send another one with basically the same concerns, except our waitstaff were definately not up to Disney standards.

Our dining room staff was out of this world and we had some fantastic dining room teams before. Our server was on his first contract, but he was already standing in as head server during breakfast and lunch and I heard shortly afterwards that he had been promoted to head server. Our assistant server had been working for DCL about a month, but I would never have guessed this. He was a bit shy at first, but he soon thawed. When they saw us around the ship, they always made a point to come over and say "hi" and make sure that everything is OK.

At this moment in time, I am just testing the water for interest. If the demand is there, I will take formal sign ups for the jewellery workshops when I get back from my next cruise in mid October. It is not quite as easy as just starting a spreadsheet as I have to say that it worked a lot better for me to have each group do a different project. On the WBTA, by the time I had done the same projects with 4 groups, I was willing to lose the will to live. So I have to come up with the projects first and then I can start to take sign ups.

Yes, maybe making jewellery and wine tasting do not really go together.

Thanks for adding the jewellery making and for generally keeping the list.

I can't wait to see what Marty comes up with. I have already started to pester him for magnets for this cruise.
