That reminds me, are we doing a night sail by Kilauea? Does anyone know?
I would know if I even knew where that was.

I don't want to rent a car. Is there a place close by for a small hike to see waterfalls? I found a place called Akaka on line that looks beautiful ! Helicopter I could do for volcano.
Nice to see you on this cruise. Are you still going on June 2012 cruise ? I changed that one to the Thanksgiving one. Someone else posted from Myrtle beach here. I could send a PM for the mini-meet.

Lots of catching up to do..We also have booked this cruise(Cat 5B). Looking forward to our 6th Disney cruise..this will be a great chance to see old cruise buddies..Elaine&Margaret and Scott&Lynn. Also a great chance to meet new Disney cruisers...Just the two of us...sharon and jeanmarc (jm)
We bring a couple of cases of chocolate-covered Macadamia nuts back every time we go to Hawaii. They are wonderful and not expensive!
Where is a good place to stay close to the port? We will be flying in the night before to avoid any flight delay issues, traffic issues, etc. Something decent, but not crazy $$$$$!..
Mini meets sounds great! I'm sure they have tours for walking tours. I am hoping to be able to afford both.
It's the volcano that is erupting and is a beautiful site at night being able to see the lave flowing down and into the sea.
.....I know one person who doesnt want to participate who could be the liason and know what each group is planning so we get no duplicates and everyone is surprised........
Just wanted chime in. To my fellow PC cruisers this year who wanted pins you will aprecate this, and to all I encourage you to do the same. I sent a email to DCL asking if they do pins made just for this cruise to use the RSP process so we don't have to spend hours infront of the store waiting.
Just remember you said ask away.I have never been to Hawaii and don't even no where to begin. I have been searching the
and it all seems confusing and forget about pronouncing the names.
I am interested in the best, quickest way to see a volcano.
Some waterfalls & maybe a zipline trip ?
Some of the things you mentioned are already on my list to see so you can leave Oahu off the above list.
Keeping everything crossed for you. I will love sailing with you (almost) again.
Rent a car for the volcano and helicopter for the waterfalls, except for the big island then a helicopter is needed for viewing the volcano.
I still have June 11th written down.![]()
I don't like the nuts unless they are covered in chocolate.![]()
My DH can't take anymore time off and that's why I am rooming with someone. We have a cruise booked for Thanksgiving next year.
That reminds me, are we doing a night sail by Kilauea? Does anyone know?
1. Active volcano is Kilauea and is on the Big Island of Hawaii. DCL may have some tours there as you will be landing in Hilo which is on the other side of the Island. Personally, I would drive there myself and see it instead of taking a tour.
2. Best waterfall are to be seen I think on Maui are along the Hana Road which is an all day trip. The road is narrow and winding so if you are nervous about driving, you might want to take a tour.
3. Because I am suggesting you do the Hana Road in Maui, I would suggest you do a zipline in Kuai which is more of a garden island. My DD Samantha and our family used this company, Kauai Back Country Adventures.
Looking forward to it!!!
Too close to the MV of the Fantasy for us!!
