Ok, my oldest. DD will be going on the MR on the 25th. If there are any questions or want to find out if any one in particular will be onboard, drop me a pm here or on the other site and I'll pass it on to her.

She's already under orders to find out who the photo manager and some of the photog's are as well as the entertainment crew. I'm hoping for Tiza as opposed to Trent, the odious, dry, foul-mouth pig in a blanket (or oaf will work well too) whom is decidedly NOT funny nor personable in any manner (ok did I really just type that). Sorry, but he's not my favorite guy. He's arrogant in my opinion. Remember I've been exposed to Ian, David, Pikey, and now hope for a reoccurrence of Tiza but don't think she'll be on here. Sigh. Anyone else hope for someone else?

I remember my comment: yes, unfortunately, the CM's on the Womder are different than the Magic. The Wonder hasn't had the same magic for some reason. However, I did find the manager to be a very helpful person.....

It's just a matter of time Corinna. Lol, usually for long cruises, well at least in the past, they try and bring back know personnel for the returners. My son says that the "guests" complain too much if their aren't any familiar faces for them to interact with. Lol. With that being said, my oldest DD and her bf will be sailing the MR next week, I can ask her to find out who will be on board in regards to the ships personnel. That way she can wrm it up for us. She is a Disser. Low key but I'm sure they're preparing for us next month. For the newbies onboard, won't they be surprised. :rotfl2::cool1::rotfl2:

After two cruises on the Wonder, we have made nearly as many friends on the Wonder than we have on the Magic. They are just in different departments.

Here is the last of the spreadsheets. This shows the people doing multiple groups and how many groups they are doing:

You are showing that I'm in all FE groups now, I don't know when that changed but woohoo :banana:

I checked the Disney Cruise site and they say it is $9 for a six pack or $35 for 24. Still expensive but I don't feel like hauling a case of water onto the ship. We will probably just get a case for the two of us. I think they provide water for the excursions.

DH & I are pretty much water snobs, but on our last cruise we drank the water from the drink station and didn't find anything to complain about. We take our own water bottles fill with ice, then add water for ice cold water anytime, any place :goodvibes

Haven't seen Ian in years, is he still around? Disney's (and ours) loss if they didn't keep him on. Is Trent really foul-mouthed .. that's certainly not Disney style.

I'm not sure who is cruise director, but if I had my wish, they would bring Brent on for this special cruise, just like they did for the 10 night on the Wonder <sigh>

Heather added you to the last group sometime last week if I remember correctly. As soon as she made the changes, so did I.

A good friend of mine was on the Wonder in January and she checked for me. Our cruise director will be Christian and our captain will be Captain Thord. I would prefer Brent as well, but he will be busy with the Fantasy.

I also have one of the custom shirts available, size small if anyone is interested.
We could do PayPal. I can mail it to you or if you're staying in the DL or port area before the cruise I can drop it off the day before so you can have it before you board. Or I can bring it along with me.
PM me if you are interested.

Hi Jan, I'll ask around, if not, I'll see if I can burn a copy of one disc that was sent to me. It did work well right, I took lots of pics of people I forgot their names and a few were like wow, thanks. That's always fun. Let me check on the site and if it's still up. I don't usually go back to the threads on the dis but I am in contact with quite a few stil,l in fact, hoping for a mini-reunion of the PC come May next year. Wanna join? ;)

We are headed to the Mediterranean next spring, sorry.

Any info on the pictures of the Thieves from WBPC 2008 is appreciated though--thanks in advance.

Hi Y'all!!!
WOWSERS This thread moves quickly, I can never keep up, Wish I had more time, 2 kids and a baby keep my so busy these days!!!

So, I have been hunting for the updated FE list as I can see there has been some minor changes, Is there a link to it somewhere?? Am I blind?

We are so blessed to have so many awesome people on here organising things!
I would have been so upset to go to Hawaii without doing a Luau. And having personalised hawaiian shirts, so cool! Then there's the FE's, Champagne Girls, etc.... So many people sprinkling pixie dust!:love::love:

For those of you who have sent me PMs asking about ordering cruise shirts, I am sorry but I don't have any more shirts and the manufacturer would not be able to get us any more in time. I suggest you post your request and maybe someone has a shirt they no longer want.

My other suggestion would be to have a tee shirt made or make one yourself using an iron-on, from the design on the shirts. Here is a link to my Flicker account: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rmvandy/6990435335/in/photostream. I've been working on a new image of the design that I think works better on a tee then anything else I had put out there.

::yes:: Let us know when the new design is posted :thumbsup2

Ha ha ha, same thing happened to me but that's ok, I've got it covered now and it will be nice to get stuff from everyone.

As for Trent, heard him one time while he was playing guest in the adult pool and I was a bit taken aback at some of the words that came out. I know it was in his time off but really, don't you have a crew pool to use if you can't be bothered to interact with the guest? He really turned me off that time and so I have no love lost for him. He comes off a bit uppity to me. Not like David who is fantastic and just plain silly. Another reason I love Tiza!

Last I heard Ian was on the radio at home and was more successful. This was the black haired Ian who was always wet, couldn't keep that guy out of the water. And least we forget - CHICKEN BOY!!! :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao: but that was on the 11 night. But I'm sure his toddler needs him more than the guests. Sigh, like him better than Christian, at least you can look into his eyes and think: McDreamy. :rotfl2:

I don't care what anyone else says, I'd take Cpt Thord over Cpt Tom any old day. He's more personable in my book and will at least smile naturally. Not to mention wont keep repeating the wrong thing. Least we forget the "brown ****y" (oops, sorry Dis, forgot that word was bad) fiasco. :lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: now that one I almost did have an accident.

For those that are wondering, it's little moments like that that become legendary and infamous. Anyone remember CHICKEN BOY? The Brown birdy incident? The time Alfred or Seymour made fun of the Cpt while he was at the back of the room? Let's just say, and really not being racist here, it's the first time I saw a black man turn ruby red. Poor guy. That time really was an accident. Since then I think he's incorporated into the act. So don't be late!!! :rotfl2:

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

when I woke up this mlrning to a beautiful day I did not know I would be swimming towards the bull sharks. *but that story comes later.

The seas were calm after having weeks of windy and choppy and wavey ocean. *i do not do well in windy and choppy and wavey.

Our first dive could have been a textbook for a turtle recognition exam. *Mostly juvenilles, a green, a hawksbill, and a loggerhead. *all but one were small..18 inches. *And all but the adult at the end of the dive and the hawsbill were pretty...no algae or barnacles on the shell. *I am not good at this, but I do not think any of them were tagged. *

they were all so cute and curious. *One almost sunk onto our diver friend. *You must leave turtles alone, not chase or haraass, but I think you can suggest they *not land on you. *the hawsbill was grazing on a coral reef...and was insistent on eating whatever was in front of him. *we could have watched him for hours, but alas, we do not have hours of gas. *

the large goliath grouper, bigger than me, was almost an afterthought with the turtle spotting. *but the sweetest thing at the end of the first diver were the two 24" puffer fish swimming side by side on the wreck. *after all, it is that time of year, the water has been warmer than usual ans Spring is in the "air", so to speak.

And throughout the dive we saw just about everthing from barricuda to the colorful angle fish. *we had one spot of what I call acquarium diving where you are surrounded by the small colourful fish... *Awwwwww...

we were blessed with remarkably calm seas and the surface interval was spent catching up with our dive friends.

the second dive was amazing. *the water was not as clear as the first, but we dropped on two circling bull sharks. *somehow I would have thought the instinct is to swim away, but no, youbare drawn in to them as they slice silently through the water. *Two of our group had cameras, not me...and we formed an impromptu semi.circle around the sharks who returned to treat us with more viewing time. *Then the rest of the diveres were dropped and spooked the sharks. *divers left, we stayed and a third approached, about ten feet. and when I say fat, I mean FAT. *Fatter than an inflatable toy.....He was huge....

dive tables, nitro saturation..nah, I have gas, I can stay...not really. * *Two deep dives will load you up so it was time to surface....wow oh wow. *High fives all aroubd....

But being St. patrick's Day there are parades and pubs calling so it was time to leave drop off the gear and head south to the neighborhood parade. *well, forty years ago it might have been a neighborhood parade. *this year it was huge about two hours strong. *and why fun. *Lots of participation by fire departments near and far. *Note to self, next time pack a cooler, this parade is *long.

We abandoned the crowds and headed north to out favourite Zirish Pub for a pint and soem fish and chips. *I did rub the head of the local leprochan who has shaved his head as a benefit for Children's cancer.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

This may have been answered, but in the past, they've waived this fee for us. The camera shop is not owned by Disney so they may have different rules, but they've always give us the spiel about charging, especially like on The princess formal shot of the ladies in our formal attire, we covered the front atrium and even up the stairs but they eventually realized not to charge us and as far as I knoww, they haven't charged the dis group for a picture like this. Might want to bend the ear and become friends with the manager to bypass this charge. Just saying....

Not surprised they would Waive the fee considering how many customers they would offend. And all those people who will buy copies of the photo.

My favorite photog who *used* to be on the wonder was a little cutie named Julie who could (and did) make even ME look good!:rotfl2:

I like Christian, but I think he's the CD who talks too much when he gets a mike in his hand.

We're getting close now - the thread is heating up:dance3:

Exactly 6 weeks from right now we wil be exactly 1 hour away from LAX(we hope) but ready for our WONDERful journey with all our new friends!
Tom & Marilou

For my Northern Ohio friends! And amyone else that would like to venture to Ohio!

Just a reminder we are one week away from the Northern Ohio Meet! Saturday, March 24 at 7 pm at the Panera in Independence - 6700 Rockside Rd.. I spoke to the manager that will be there that night at it will not be a problem to take over one end of the restaurant. I do plan to get there a little early and save the seats. Trust me, you will be able to find me :)

And a note: There is more parking to the side and rear of the restaurant. The Panera is in the same strip as Melt and they are a bit busy on a Saturday night.

Debbie

I have found that Walgreens makes tee-shirts, in infant, kid's and adult sizes with photos/images printed on them. I am going to call them tomorrow and see about how we might make the shirt design images available. I only saw white tee-shirts but I'll ask about other colors. I'll also see if they have a probem with Disney images in the photos.

Wow! I finally caught up. Months ago LindaBabe pointed me over here since we are also going on this cruise (DH, DD and her DH, mother in law and me) I lurked for awhile and then got distracted, I came back registered, lurked and got distracted. I came back today and discovered the thread had grown to 4 sections! I made my way through and am so glad I did. I look forward to seeing all your beautiful shirts, amazing FEs and all the activities you have planned. You have all shared some great info and I look forward to the trip even more-if that's possible-than when we signed up.
See you around the ship!
