Just called DCL and was told:
30th - Formal night
9th - Formal night
11th - Pirate night
12th - Semi formal - Captains Night
I also asked about any Hawaiian nights or Hawaiian deck parties and was told the only "Hawaiian" that shows up at this time are the menu's for our port days in Hawaii that will be related to the specific port that we're in.

Thanks Charmaine...knowing we have 2 formal nights is definitely needed info!

:confused3 How can I print out the Roll Call in a format large enough to read?

I tried. :scared1: It took three pages but I need a magnifying glass.

I am sure there is some way, :sad1: but I cannot figure it out. :sad2:

Thanks in advance ::yes::

Thanks...I was thinking we had two semi formals and they were on different nights.

Gee - the second formal is my Palo night...I guess I saved packing another outfit.....:goodvibes

Heather, please, thank your husband for his help. I know all of us appreciate his time as well.

Charmaine, thanks for the info.

You're welcome.
I also had the one formal and two semi-formals noted. Then today I had DCL tell me there is only one formal and one semi-formal which I questioned asking what had happened to our second semi-fomal. They double checked and confirmed that there are now two formal and one semi-formal. I was also told as always this is subject to change.

Well, I called as well and I have a slightly different version.
The same nights but with

30th Formal
9th - men in suits and ladies in dresses.
11th - PiRAte
12th - men in suits and ladies in dresses.

Only one formal from this cast member.

:confused3:confused3

I'm still at Palo for one of the dress up nights and I was planning on formal to Palo as I have very littel opportunity to wear my pretty dress.

Heck, I might bring several and then my table mates can whisper about me being over dressed.

But wait, then I have to bring more shoes.

Sigh!!!:cutie:

I actually was on the phone when you posted this and did not see it before I posted. . I saw someone else had a slightly different set of days so I thought I would call...

Don't want to start a dispute, it was kind of you to call and post...I wish they would post them on the activity calendar.....and I also wish they would host an on-board Hawaiian theme night.

Gee, while I am wishing.....:rolleyes1:rolleyes

I agree the board is extremely slow at responding today. I though it was my wireless service until others noted the same thing.
Does anyone know how to get to the FE lists so I can determine my gifts to distribute?

I think the boards have been busy with Free Dining being released to the general public today - probably why its been slower!

Hate to vent.....which Disney would get their act together on how many formal & semi. Not only does it make a difference what to pack, but if a we want to spend the money on renting a tux. It would be so simple for them to just list it on the planning calendar.

I feel better now

When we have rented a tux DH has worn it both formal and semi-formal on the 7 day cruises and all three nights on the longer ones. I also will wear what I wear whether it is 2 formal and one semi-formal or 1 formal and 2 semi-formal. I have 2 dresses I will take, one long and one knee length. The knee length I will wear twice.....hope my tablemates don't notice!! :rotfl2: So, I guess for us it really doesn't matter as far as our packing goes. Just need to decide if DH will take his suit or rent a tux. I'm leaning towards the suit. Haven't tried on the long dress yet though....so, if it has shrunk :rolleyes1 I will wear the knee length black dress all three nights.

I don't think FE list in published yet....

Board is extra slow for me too, but it was never really fast either....

:thumbsup2 That's the way I pack now, too. I use to wear a different dress for each event. I have packed two long gowns before. Not any longer. I guess I don't care anymore if someone realizes I wore the same dress twice. I know I'm not the only one...:rotfl2:

I use to pack pirate costumes. I don't do that any longer either. I'm learning how to pack light for a cruise, FINALLY. I just need to figure out packing when I go to Mexico. I always over pack there, LOL

Hi Everyone, We are still thinking of renting a car in Maui.
Can someone tell me what the port is that we are docking at in Maui. And does anyone know of a rental car agency that has a shuttle to the car pickup. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Genny

I went to kayak.com and rented a car thru Budget at an awesome price. Much better than directly thru Budget. I haven't called them directly in Maui, but I understand they are willing to come to the dock and pick us up to go get our car - which is at airport lot. I plan to call and confirm this as soon as I have time.

I rented through a broker (mentioned a few pages back) in both Maui and Kauai. Both times, I got Alamo, and, according to the email I got, supposedly they have a shuttle. Either place though, if there isn't, I'll just grab a cab.

As far a formal nights are concerned - since it really doesn't matter WHAT one wears except to Palo, I pack always the same - long black skirt, short black skirt, shiny black pants, and 7 black, glittery, or lacy tops. In some combination, they take me to pretty much every dinner. DH takes a dress shirt or two, jacket and tie. I tried to talk him into just taking hawaiian shirts this trip but he actually LIKES to dress up.
