I don't know, Lexa. I guess I'll have to ask. Also, does anyone know if it costs anything to ride on the shuttle?

Lexa, I just called the hotel again. YES you have to reserve the shuttle when you arrive at the hotel. NO cost because the shuttle is complimentary. That's good to know. Thanks for asking.

Thanks Deb. :)

So before I found out that Stephanie was the one who designed my magnet from 2008, I had posted it on the Disign board. Here is what someone came up with. I forgot to remove my post. :rolleyes1 Nothing wrong with having 2.

I like it!

Hello all....in 14 weeks from right now we will be on a plane on our way to LAX...has anyone or is anyone staying at the Hilton at LAX? We are staying near the airport since we don't arrive until after 8 PM LA time so we are just getting around to booking a hotel......
Thanks!:cool1:

We are at the Mariott. We fly in Saturday too. Are you taking the Disney shuttle to port....

Maybe we will see you there

Seems I'll be one of the last people coming to DoubleTree :):)

Maybe not because we are driving in that day from Las Vegas..our first visit there so depends on what time we get on the road and if we have any traffic issues :)..coming over the grapevine can be a b____h at times. I need to make sure we are mark for a late arrival...will call in early April and prepay...

A friend of mine on another thread who lives on the west coast and has taken the MR cruise said that the terminal opens at 10:00am. I guess I'm reserving the shuttle for 9:30am. hahaha.:rotfl:

We have stayed there before and will be staying there for the night after the cruise. It is lovely and the staff were super helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it. :thumbsup2

I am sorry to ask this, but is it to late to sign-up for the group rate at the Double Tree? Checked on page one of our thread but couldn't find anything there about it. Val

Today must be my lucky day. I have a new computer that actually works. :surfweb: I got prices at Candy Cane Inn. And today is one day closer to our cruise. I had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the awesome group rate of $124 + tax for a standard room with 2 queen beds. They offer complimentary continental breakfast (which is fine with me since I'm going on the ship to eat:banana:) They are across the street from DisneyLand and they offer free shuttle service to DL.

I also had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the Doubletree San Pedro. Their price is $139 + tax. It's $25 more for a marina view. Breakfast is at an extra cost.

I also had to reserve a minimum of 15 rooms for the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach. Their price is $189 + tax. Breakfast is at an extra cost.

I will get back to you with pricing for Paradise Pier and Queen Mary.

It would be great if we can have at least 15 rooms booked at each location. Even more would be great. I'll update this list with names and hotel over the weekend. In the meantime, just let me know where you want to stay and if it's 2 days or 1 day pre-cruise and how many need a room post cruise.

Bev:)

Is there anyone else taking the Disney transportation to the port? I was told we would get picked up at Paradise Pier at noon and we can pre register for the cruise at the GC- does anyone know about this?

We're signed up for DCL transport from the VGC and have been given no info as to pickup times or pre-registration. Don't know if that should come from my TA or DCL?

Also, there is a google doc list for people who were interested in a charter pickup from the Disney hotels but I don't know if that idea is still in play?

I too have DCL transfers booked. We are staying at the DLH and I'm pretty sure I was told noon by the DCL agent, but she did indicate that it may change and that when I check into the hotel, they will give a letter with all the info on it including the confirmed pick up time.

When we took DCL transport last April for the Repo cruise to Vancouver we again were staying at the DLH and when I booked the transfers I was told the pick up at DLH was at noon. When we checked in, I received a letter regarding my DCL transfers and the pick up time was still noon.

SO I have a question about this then. When booking transfers online I only get the option of LAX to the port - we're at VGC too and thought we'd need a taxi since I couldn't find a way to book transfers from the DL resort. If they offered it you'd think they'd have it online...do I need to call DCL to arrange the transfer fro DL Resort?:confused3

I can't comment on the availability of booking the transfers online as I called DCL and booked my transfers once I knew which DL hotel we were staying at. I would give DCL a call and add the transfers. I think it was $30 per person from the DLH to the port.

On the bottom of page one is a link to fill out a form for the FE. :)

Thanks for the backup.... to all who have signed up I have also made a list of those who want in multiple groups, not a problem..

Looking to make a cut off date of March 15th.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one still working on their Panama Canal scrapbook from May 2005...you are further along than I am....I still have Panama Canal day, Acapulco and Mazatlan still to scrapbook, along with Disneyland after the cruise....add that to the 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise in 2006, our NYE cruise 2006/2007, the 5 night double dip in Sept 2008, the Repo & Alaska from this past year...not to mention our many WDW trips...

BTW...I still need to get some of the paper so I can finish my Alaska scrapbook...

At least we are in the same boat! :rotfl:

I forgot that you told me not to mail your paper and I put it in an envelope. Now I need to find that envelope. You want me to bring it to the Fantasy?

It's too bad it is too hard to haul everything, I would love just to have an open scrapbook room for 7 days on the ship and just scrapbook all my old cruise stuff. That is the only way I'll ever get caught up!

Very good question....I didn't know they have shuttle which runs to town...but wouldn't mind to visit a store for few additional things :) We are staying at DoubleTree too.

We are flying in on fri to se family up near venutra and then could return car to LAX.... Im curious, did they have a shuttle from LAX to there or are you getting it on your own? We might be interested if was easy to get down there.
