April 29, 2010 Wonder 3 Day Divine Escape

We will probably be there when it opens to see about upgrading. We are planning to stay at the country inn and suites they night before. I can't believe its next month!

Staying at the Radisson at the Port the night before. Haven't yet decided if I'm going to arrive early or later for checkin. Sleeping in sounds pretty good.:)

My wife and I are staying at the Radisson on the 28th as well. We've stayed there before both of our previous Disney cruises, and found it to be convenient and enjoyable. They upgraded us to a suite at no charge last September when we did the 7 day Eastern "Tortola" Disney cruise. Didn't even tell us at check-in. Boy, were we surprised when we opened the door to the "room."

We're also staying at the Country Inn and Suites the night before the cruise. This will be our first cruise. My boys are super excited. They are already counting down the days.

Welcome Aboard Sam & Joan. We seem to be a very small group on this cruise. Maybe we can catch up with you at the Radisson if you want. I bet the suite was nice. Did you take their shuttle to the port?

Welcome Aboard, Anita.:thumbsup2 Your boys are going to love the cruise.

We are booked as well! It's my dh and ds's first time. My daughter and I have cruised before. We are super excited!

Oh we are also staying at Country Inn & Suites!

Joanie and I (sssteele) are staying near the port (Radisson) on the 28th. Anybody interested in getting together that evening? We had a Dis cruise dinner at "Fishlips" (a restaurant along the port channel) last September, and it was well attended - about 20-30 folks. I know transportation would be a problem for those of you without vehicles, but perhaps carpooling would work. We could also maybe just meet at the Radisson pool bar or indoor lounge. Do a search for Fishlips and you'll find their website complete with menu. What do you think? If a fairly large group is interested, Joanie and I will take care of making arrangements ahead of time.

Is anyone interested doing a FE? I think my 5yr old would love it!

Since we seem to be such a small group, FE wouldn't be too difficult to do. We had quite a large group on the last cruise and we all enjoyed :yay: it. I may have some great kids gifts left from that trip. Hmmm...:confused3 wonder where I have stashed them.

I booked Monday for my DS (67) and I (60). Today we added her DD (46). DD 's birthday is APril 29.

I've never done one before so I'm not sure as to how to procede. Do we a start a list? Also do you so the same gift for everyone or change it depending on age? Any help would be great! I'm so excited!

Thanks,

Melissa

We only participated 1 time and one of the women in our group was in charge of the list. I believe we just noted on the thread that we wanted to be included and provided the sex and age of each person in our cabin along with cabin number.

Some folks chose to provide 1 gift per cabin, while others did separate gifts for adults and children or gift per person.

You must be sure to let the "leader" know if your participants change or your cabin # is switched for any reason. And we did have a cutoff date so we had time to prepare our gifts.

Fish extenders were hung when we boarded and gifts started to arrive shortly after. I did go with a few extras, and handed them out to some little ones when we were at breakfast the last day and while picking up our luggage. Parents of the recipients were very happy to have something unexpected pixiedust:for the kids to do on the trip home.
