April 28, 2011 3 night Dream

:headache: Sorry :grouphug:
Hopefully it'll be better than expected. :flower3:

Unfortunatly not from what I read on the stateroom reviews. Man, all I wanted was a "normal" cabin. I paid just like a normal guest when I rebooked this last November onboard, so it's kinda dissapointing. Hubby is gonna call them when he gets back from Arizonia (hopefully tonight). I hope he can get them to do something even if I have to pay for it. I could really use some Pixie Dust, so cross your fingers.

I love the Disboards. I read the one review for the disabled cabin I was given on deck 6. It was a horrible review. And theirs no balcony, small port hole and the worst thing- no split bath. I hate being one of those people that complain to get what they want, but I personally think this cabin would ruin my birthday cruise. I have been married for 19 years to my husband and though I love him I am tired of sharing a bathroom with him and for me, not having to do that is the best stateroom benefit that DCL has. So, I called the cruiseline and told them I paid just like everyone else and I am not sailing in a disabled cabin. I am not disabled and I want the spilt bath that I paid for with the cat. 9a oceanview. Well, the agent was a bit confused because she had never dealt with a situation like mine, spoke with her supervisor and again said their was nothing she could do the ship was sold out. Now, I know that's not the case cause' I had spoke with a CM during my last cruise about just this situation as I was afraid of something like this happening and they said, you rebooked onboard, you're paying the full current rate for what they offered you, so you don't have to take that cabin. So, I had the agent transfer me to a supervisor. Told him the same story and he said their wasn't anything available in that category. So, I said to him I am a Gold member, sailed 8 times before, got you two more cabins to sail on your new ship and you're gonna ruin my birthday. I can't believe this is how you treat your repeat cruisers. So he put me on hold and and came back to me with a great compromise. I had to pay a little more, but it was soooo worth it! I am now in a cat. 5a balcony on deck 9! Whew, I am once again excited about my Dream cruise. Disney has renewed my faith in them.

Now in cabin 9520, with a balcony! Wahoo!

 Yeah! :cool1:

All you have to do is talk to the right people!
:thumbsup2

So glad you got things worked out Mmkeeter for your cabin. I was thinking we were ALL gonna have to call on your behalf. That would have been ugly for them! :yay:

PhototechII tell your wife good luck with the surgery. I have been thinking about it for some time and I'm interested in how it goes for her. :thumbsup2

[COLOR="Magenta"]Thank you SDTink, PhotoTech and DizzylandDeb. Your positive energy and kind words really mean alot. I am glad to see I would have had ya'll on my side. I am just so thankful it didn't come to that. :)

Oh man, it looks like I threw us all of topic again. Sorry. :( So, back to the get together now that my mellow dramma is over with. LOL! Does everyone on here have early seating that wants to meet up?

Nice...now you are up closer to me...10014
Cool. :) I wonder how many other folks on our decks will be decorating their doors and or having FE extenders? I keep reading that folks aren't seeing that many on the Dream. I think that is very sad. I always loved looking at other folk's doors. Shoot I'd even go out of my way and stroll down a different corridor during my cruise just to see them. :)
Looking forward to see everybody on our threads door decorations.

We have late seating, on wait list for early...hopefully we will get it! There is someone on cruise critic looking to start FE for our sailing.

Congrats on the room!:cheer2:

Thanks NewJerseyMom. ;)
Okay, so it looks like we have at least one person in our group with late seating. The last time we cruised we had that. My suggeston NewJerseyMom if you have to get it changed on board is to get to the location where the Matre D Will be to do dining re-assignments WAY before the adverstised time, cause we went there in November just to find out if our favorite server was onboard 20 min. prior to the time they were suposse to start and their was already a nice size line. I can only imagine what a nightmare it will be on the Dream.

So, I am thinking we should probably plan then for a meet-up at say 10:30 or 11pm? NewJerseryMom should be out of the late dinner seating and if we want to plan it for Pirates Night I think it will be wrapped up by then too. Anyone want to verify that? Or we could do it the first night about that time in say the Sky Bar? Any thoughts?

We have late dinner seating too. I will drag my friend along with me (she is a DIS member, but doesn't post on a regular basis). You folks name the time and place . . .we'll make it work :thumbsup2

My DD10 broke her right wrist today riding her scooter. DW took her to the Dr this morning and he did the x-ray. Sure enough it is broke. He recommend Orthopedic Dr for further examination. Not sure if cast will take care of it or if she made need pins. Wow...too close for comfort. We are 5-6 weeks aways from cruise.:confused3 Hope she just gets the cast and can get it removed before the cruise. :worship: Still trying to surprise her but this may make it a little more difficult.

I hope this is all the excitement we get before we are on the cruise!!!:surfweb:

If anyone knows smmc on the dis boards please tell her to PM me...I have been trying to get a hold of her....Thanks.

Hi all - just joining in over here... DH, DD (3YO) and myself are making our DCL debut on the Dream 4/28. We have late seating as well, and reservations at Paolo on the Castaway day. Are any of your kids taking costumes on board? We are also ending the trip with DD's 3rd trip to WDW. Just can't get enough!

I've tried to catch up on posts, will take me a minute, but I wanted to say a big Texas HELLO to everyone!

PS - is it too late to join Fish Extenders? I tried to PM disneycrazee but I haven't posted enough... DOH!
