April 27, 2015 - 4 Night Disney Dream

Hello from California!! New to Disboards. My daughter just got notified today by Make A Wish that her Disney Dream cruise is really happening!! First Disney cruise and we are going to be on the April 27th cruise. She has heard about the FE club from a friend that has cruised before and as part of her Wish she really wants to be able to give gifts to other families while we are on the cruise. I was given info to on how to find this link. Please let me know about how many families to plan for and anything I can help with. I'm still reading up on all the things to do for FE and it sounds like lots of fun! Here is our info:

First timer here! I would love to participate in the FE thing but I have a few questions first. Will there be a list of everyone who is participating? Are you suppose to do everyone or just select a few? Do you do something for everyday of the trip?

I have the same questions. I have read where the group gets split into smaller groups if it gets too big. How many families are in the FE group currently?

Any of your families thinking of doing the Castaway Cay 5K? Our girls like the idea of getting off the boat as early as possible and getting in a quick jog around the island. It would be fun to have some new friends to enjoy it with too. (More like, Mom and Dad want to do it...girls would be more excited if they knew there were other kids doing it too. )

You will need to have 10 posts at the minimum to use the PM system. You can go to the Technical Support/Test board and easily/quickly get your count to 10 by posting one word (or one letter) posts. Once you reach 10 posts, you will be able to send PMs and several other functions only for those with that number of posts.

The PM system is now called "Conversations" and is accessed by clicking on the username for the poster you'd like to contact (or checking your own inbox at the upper right of every page). You can then "Start a Conversation" and sent you personal message to another poster/posters.

My 16 year old daughter and I are thinking about running the 5k. I really wanted to run it with my 9 year old, but I read that it's aged 12 and up.

I just found a review from the Castaway Cay 5k in Oct 2014 that said age limit is 10. Depending on how close your 9 year old is...they might be able to do it
