Hey guys,

Im at the stage of completing my room block. My wedding is April 26th next year at 2.30pm in the Wedding Pavilion, reception to follow in the Grand Floridian main ballroom. I think I have pretty much as much organised as I can at this time, however, Im trying to complete my room block.

We've chosen The Grand Floridian, The Carribean Beach and All Star Movies for our resorts of choice for our guests. I need to meet a 50 night requirement. If any of you are taking your vacation around that time next year and would like to help me fill my room block and get the 'discount' on the rooms please let me know!!!

Im just waiting to complete my contract and send my deposit but I can't do that until August 27th...I'm so excited can't wait to sign on the dotted line and make it official.

So far I've:

Picked my wedding dress
Picked the bridesmaid dresses
Chosen flowers
Chosen the reception and coctail hr location
Met the Priest and paid deposit
Met Randy and paid deposit
Met Stan and paid deposit
Bought the bubbles for the 'staged exit' - I hope they last
Had a make up trial with Janet Mednick - amazing!!!
Sent invitations (guests needed the advance notice as they are travelling from Ireland)
Booked Honeymoon (Orlando - New York - San Fran - LA - Las Vegas - Chicago)

I think Im on track but if I missed anything...let me know

Looking forward to hearing what you think and thank you to you all for all of your help so far!!!!

PS - Have an "official" planning session and tasting session when I visit and meet my planner in November - can't wait:banana:

Thanks for your reply. Your room block depends on your number of guests. As far as I know up to 25 guests means you have to meet a 25 room block , 25-74 means a 50 room block requirement and 75+ is 75 nights!

Crazy stuff if you ask me as all of my guests have already booked a 'package' holiday and have paid for accomodation on International Drive, so its alot to ask of them to pay for additional nights in Disney!!!

But I suppose thats Disney! and one of the requirements of having a wedding there! Very stressful!

Are you sure about your room block numbers? I thought it was:

1-40 = 25 room nights
41-75 = 50 room nights
76 and up = 75 room nights

Anyway, nothing's firm yet, but we may be going in April for a planning session, so I'll keep you in mind and pass along our reservation number if we do.

Yes I thought it was that tabetha.

Can I just ask you Florida bride how did you pay your deposit to disney?

Hey all,

Thanks for all of your replies! :rotfl:

In response to the room blocks, you could be right Im not too up on how many rooms for the number of guests I just know I need 50 room nights and I just HAVE to meet them as I can't afford to pay for the nights I don't meet.

In reply to Orangetiggs - I'm sending my deposit by UDS draft, PM me if you want the address to send it to. I'll send it registered and by FedEx to make sure it gets there quickly and is signed for (that way I can track it if it gets misplaced!)

And in relation to the TR....I sure will - only problem is I can only sign on to the Disboards in work so I can't post pictures....

I have to say without this board I'd have had a nervous breakdown it's so soothing to have so many friends out there willing to help...I call you all my Disney Family!!! Thank you all so so much!!!

If all goes well, I might be down there that week for my Escape wedding (no discounts) so I might be able to help! Remember to post again closer to the date!!
