"MAGNETIC PAPER?"

For door signs, does anyone know where to buy Magnetic Paper? I imagine that you just put the 8.5 x 11 paper in a printer, and VOILA. Is that how some people do it? Or, do you print out something on regular paper and glue it to a magnetic backing?

You can do it either way. You can buy magnetic paper at any office supply store (Staples, Office Max, Office Depot) or even at Walmart. It is white on one side and a magnet on the back. It isn't cheap and you usually get 5-10 sheets in a package but it works great for door signs.

Or you can just do them on regular paper and buy magnetic strips that are sticky on one side and stick them to the paper. This doesn't work quite as well as it leaves more lumps.

If doing the magnetic paper.....

Get AVERY!

We learned our lesson getting a cheap off brand and it never fed through the computer right. Ended up wasting a LOT of ink.

OMG, I got the cruise documents just now and we are sailing on APRIL 12.

OK OK.. April Fools one day late. :rotfl2:

Ya'll are stuck with me on the cruise.

So yesterday I was chatting online with my sister when the doorbell rang and it was our documents.

I went through them and noticed something bad. Im on there, but hubbys name was crossed out and said it was cancelled by credit card holder. I was very upset and she thought it was an April Fools joke. i asked her why dad would do this and she said he wondered about our spouse choices and this was his way of getting some time alone with his girls. I was upset but told her I was calling our agency to sort things out and then I was going to call DCL.

I got Dads number but told her her was out and I didnt know what to do,

I then called my mom who couldnt believe that I believed my dad would do that.

SO when she decided to call dad herself, I had to tell her APRIL FOOL!

No cruise doc's for us yet. :confused3

Mike - how did you book? Was it direct with DCL or through a travel agent? If you book through a travel agent DCL will often send the documents to the agent first. This doesn't happen if you book through Dreams but I know it does happen through other agents.

Mary we we booked directly through DCL

Hmmm- well then I don't have an answer. :confused3 I bet you get yours tomorrow. :thumbsup2 They are still ahead of the game. We used to get them just 2 weeks out.

haha, can you even imagine getting your cruise docs and they say the wrong DATE on them??

you'd think that they would send out the cruise docs around the same time. It really surprises me that some of you have not gotten theirs yet! :confused3 I am sure we'll all have them in our hot little hands before the end of the weekend though! I was actually shocked that we received ours so soon. I didn't expect them until 2 weeks before or even closer to our cruise date! Not complaining tho! :lovestruc

Good morning everyone. Time for another Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day!

Lunch on boarding day is held in two places. Parrot Cay on deck 3 or Topsiders on deck 9. They serve exactly the same thing so the choice is yours if you want to eat outside or inside.

Usually they will try to direct you to one (Parrot Cay) first and then when they are filled direct you up to Topsiders. We like to eat outside so we'll head up to Topsiders using the mid-ship stairs/elevator instead. Remember that you'll still have your carry-on luggage with you.

So if you want to eat outside head up to Topsiders. If you prefer to start in a fun festive air conditioned room then head on over to Parrot Cay. You can't go wrong with either.

Not real hungry or have kids that want to head right to the pools - then head up to deck 9. Grab a table and chairs by the pool. You can grab burgers, hot dogs and chicken fingers at Plutos. Also one person in your party can go through the buffet at Topsiders and bring back food to the table.

Speaking of carry on, and this might have already been address in the previous pages, but. . . . I have read many different takes on how much clothing you should pack in your carry on, some I have read, say to pack the outfit for dinner, others say, just bathing suit and a few freshing items. . . we have late dinner, so I planned to just have the smaller amount of clothes in the bag and to change in the room for dinner out of the luggage. . . .what do you think?? 23 days. . . :woohoo:

Personally I wouldn't worry about packing your dinner clothes in your carry on. In our 10 past cruises we have never had our luggage not show up by dinner time. Plus in the rare case where it did happen no one is going to turn you away at dinner based on what you were wearing. Save the carry on for fun stuff like bathing suits!
