I'm happy to announce that our renewed passports arrived yesterday.

POSSIBLE HICCUP TO OUR PLANS - Nothing is confirmed yet, but Steph heard from a girl in another class that the Physics finals will be given on Saturday April 26. Uggh, that date sounds familiar. Steph is currently attending UCF (Univ Central FL) or (U Cant Finish - as the locals refer to it). If in fact that is the day of the final, then there are going to be some bad repercussions: 1) If the test is in the morning, we'll be late getting on the ship; plus Steph will have to pack AND study Friday nite which will be tough to do, 2) If the test is in the afternoon, I'm not sure we will have time to get on the boat so we'll have to hope that the teacher allows Steph to take the test another day or time.

woohoo!!! omg I have been talking about nothing but the cruise all day. My family is like "NOT THIS AGAIN!!!!" I was soooo excited when I first booked it and talked about it all the time, then I just kinda kept it to myself the rest of the time, but there's no stopping me now!!

Here is a photo of my DS at Castaway Cay last May. As you can see from the photo, his feet barely reach the pedals. Well we rented a paddleboat anyway, and let me tell you - these things are hard work - especially since I did 95% of the work. A 30 minute workout on the stationery bike would have been easier.

Mary we have never been lucky to see the Magic on the cam you used nice picture we usually use the two palms cam. 9 weeks is really sounding nice

There was a roped off area where we could paddle around. If I remember correctly, we got fairly close to the Black Pearl (BTW, I thought it was called the Flying Dutchman - somebody please clarify).

Ok - here is a photo of me, DS, and DD's head with the Black Pearl/Flying Dutchman in the background. If you look closely, you may be able to see the limits of the rope.

The paddling wasn't so bad when my son slouched way down and helped me pedal - which lasted about 30 seconds. But fighting the current by myself was hard work. If you have someone to help you, its not so bad.

you may well be right, could be the flying dutchman. theres a black pearl ship in there somewhere. i don't really follow 'pirates' to much and i'm not about to watch it again just to see. i think i do recall a sign saying it was the dutchman. how does the pearl come in? or does it? may have been a dream from last night

i was thinking today... i have been waiting so long and all of a sudden... 9 weeks??? omg. I feel totally unprepared now!! Payday is Friday and I need to do some serious shopping!

Mike - I love the new Ron Jon camera. I guess I've been lucky but every time I've tried to see the Magic or Wonder on it there must be a DISer at the control because it always seems to be on the ships. Plus the snapshot button is so easy to use.

The ship at Castaway Cay is the Flying Dutchman (aka the ghost ship). The Black Pearl is the name of Jack Sparrows ship.

What is the first thing every one is looking to do, or see, once on the board?

I'm looking forward to the first lunch, as the first cruiser the dessert that was served was only served once, it was soooo gooood, and it was not served again the rest of the trip. That will start my cruise all over again.

I think it was a rice pudding. Very different than I had ever had before. It was the greatest. The other couple we were with and DW have search for the recipe and have not been successful. This time I'm looking for it. Oh my, it church time. got to go.
