Has anyone seen Kay or Jen around or heard from them? I don't think Kay has posted since Christmas and Jen long before that. Wonder if they are still joining us on the cruise.

Do you have everyone's email address? If so, perhaps its time to be the life guard, blow the whistle, and get all the April 26 cruisers back to shallow waters - errr, the forum. :)

For those of you renewing passports.
We went Monday, Jan. 28th, but couldn't do it b/c the kids weren't with us.
So we went Tuesday, Jan. 29th WITH the kids.

And TODAY, 1 week and 2 days later, we got their passports!!!!!!

Good point. I may try that in a week or so. Don't want to be pushing about it. I fugure if they wanted to post they would. KWIM?

Edited to add - just checked their profiles. Kay was on this morning not sure why she isn't posting to the thread. Jen hasn't been online since the end of October. Hope everything is ok.

Woo Hoo! Great news! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Hey guys! I am SO sorry I haven't posted in sooooo long! I see we have some newcomers. Welcome!! I am Kay, 34 on April 25th, my hubby Alan is 35, and our 2 kids, Joshua, 12, and Kaylee, 8.

I have gone back to work full time. I work at a different elementary school. Still same job. I really love it, the people I work with are great. It was rough for me at first, I haven't worked full time since before Josh was born! So I basically came home dead tired, we ate out a lot and my house was a mess! :rotfl: I am getting better about it though and not so tired anymore!

We just had new windows installed in our house and what a difference. I hope it will save on electric bill because we are paying more than I care to admit! It was a mess but worth it!

Kids are doing well. I am still kinda nervous about taking them out for a week for the cruise since we have never EVER taken them out for any vacation time, but we'll be ok.

I haven't heard from Jen at all. I will send her a message through myspace and see if she answers. I miss hearing from her.

We can make our reservations on the 11th, and I am majorly bummed out because we REALLY wanted to do the dolphin swim in St. Maarten, but it is closed until May 2008 since they are relocating to a different part of the island I believe. So we are looking for something else to do in St. Maarten! Any suggestions?

Good morning everyone! Can't believe the weekend is almost here! Going to be a long weekend for me. We're taking Monday off to go to the Chicago Auto Show. In addition we are having a mini DIS meet this weekend. One of the families we sailed with in 2004 and 2006 are coming to Chicago! No it isn't the Ohio family - it is the Scuba family for Florida. Their daughter is a level 10 gymnast and she's performing up at Navy Pier (yes Karen we're going back to Navy Pier) :scared1: We're thinking it won't be as crazy early on a Saturday morning in the middle of winter as it was on a Sunday afternoon in the middle of summer. :lmao:

Hi, My name is Sandy and my husband, Gary and I will be joining you on this cruise. I didn't get online because we waited to make our final decision last week and yay:yay: we are going. I will be 57 on April 24 so we are spending two days at wdw before the cruise and then our 10th wedding anniversary is in October so this cruise will be a combined birthday/anniversary celebration. I go to WDW a lot - anyone who will join me I grab -- my sister, my kids, my husband....

This is my 3rd cruise and my husband's second. He was on the Ebert/Roper cruise with me a few years ago - - a 4 night Bahamian one. I did the Eastern Car. cruise with my sister 2 years ago and loved it so Gary wanted to do it also - so here we are.

I will never get to reading all of the posts but I'll look over some of them in the coming days. I hope to learn about all of you and make new friends. Any other couples in our age range hanging out there?? (late 50's - early 60's but very young at heart :hippie:

I know the end of April will come along very quickly. Have a great day!

happysandyrella - welcome to the DIS, the DCL forums and most importantly the April 26th cruise meet.

It is me (who will be 51 at the time of the cruise) and DH (who will be 41 at the time of the cruise).

This is cruise #11 for us (I think). We're cruising with our good friends the Ohio mouse family. I'll let Karen introduce them.

If you have any questions ask away. We love helping new people.

Welcome HappySandyRella Sandy and Gary This will be our 3rd cruise too Eileen will be 54 on April 3rd and I (Mike) will still be 54 we will be celebrating our 30th Anniversary early. It is nice to see others joining us.

Hey there! Welcome! This is our 9th (?) Disney cruise. It'll be me (40), dh (40), dd (13+) and ds (11)

We're sailing with Mark and Mary ....again.....and we're super excited about it!!!

ok I am really going to make an effort and post much more from now until the cruise!

I left work early today and went home sick. We have had so many sick kids in the office at work, it was just a matter of time until I got it too. I have some nasty stomach thing. Thank goodness it's the weekend, and hopefully I will be better by Monday. The after school program called me to pick up Kaylee because she wasn't feeling well. Poor thing.

Hi Sandy and Gary and welcome! I am Kay. My birthday is April 25th, so the day after you :) This cruise is a birthday present to myself. I will be 34. My husband Alan is 35 and our kids are 12 and 8. This is our first cruise and we are sooooo excited!!

Still looking for some ideas on what to do in St. Maarten since the dolphin swim is out now :(

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 11 weeks!

Welcome Sandy and Gary.

I'm your home town connection, as I only live about 8 minutes from the cruise terminal. Yet, this is only my 2nd Disney Cruise and 4th cruise ever.

WDWLVR - I didn't realize there was such an age difference between you and your DH. You cradle robber you. :-p

Actually, there is a difference of 14 years between me and my DW. So I'm one to talk. I'm 48 and Steph is 34.

dreamcometrue - We're still trying to decide what to do at both St. Thomas and St. Maarten. I started a thread in the community board and it got 2 pages worth of responses. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1710622

I'm leaning toward a Butterfly farm visit and a beach at St. Johns. However, I haven't decided whether to book thru DCL or just wing it.

Kay there is something going around the School where I work too it has been for a couple of weeks now. Working a couple of basketball games today so Wont be able to check back in until latter as believe it or not the school district blocks the dis boards web site.

Welcome to the group Idcruisers Mike and Eileen here.Well I did get my rejection for my passport they would not accept the birth certificate I had luckily I had all ready contacted Pennsylvania and received a good one all went back into the mail yesterday. Today we are getting a snow storm with whiteout conditions at time the mountain behind our house disappears and 12 degrees and 11 mph winds looks like I will receive the 4am call to come in to school early and plow parking lots and sidewalks to open school. Florida is looking good about now.
