we'll be seeing the Simpsons movie in a few weeks. Won't have time to go before Sunday and Sunday is when DS will go to summer camp for a week. Then, right after he gets back, we are camping for 5 days. Hopefully we'll be able to see it after we get back. DS has been wanting to see it since he first found out there was going to be a movie.

We have a birthday get together to go to at Mike's dad and step-mom's house. And straight from there we need to get Nick to church camp.

Uh...yeah, maybe I should pack for him. 2 years ago, when the kids went to camp, I stressed something major (course, *I* was going to camp too, so no wonder) but now it's like "just throw everything in the bag." HA!

Yesterday I decided to look at the list at least to make sure he at least OWNED everything he needed.

I'm hoping that if the family chips in, we can get it done in 30 minutes!

Of course, the family needs to be AWAKE for that!

Thanks! Actually, yesterday I was up....and on my laptop. And all of a sudden I got an email. FROM MIKE. FROM BED! From his iPhone!

So about 10 minutes ago I emailed him and basically did what you did...."WAKE UP....WHAT ARE YOU DOING STILL IN BED?????"

I'm hoping his phone will at least chime or buzz and wake him up! HA! I'm so mean!

Hey, at least all of the laudry got done yesterday so Nick will be able to have CLEAN clothes at camp!

A low pressure center in the Bahamas has potential to grow into a tropical system, forecasters said today.

The system about 350 miles northeast of the central Bahamas remains disorganized today.

"Environmental conditions, however, could become more favorable for tropical
cyclone development in a day or so as the system moves north-northeastward at 10 to 15 mph," forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

Meanwhile, forecasters are watching three tropical waves that are moving westward in the deep Atlantic, just off the African coast.

With rising sea surface temperatures, the mechanics are in place for development in this region, forecasters said.

The next tropical storm will be called Chantal.

we are thinking of using the Internet as a way to keep contact with home wondering if the computers by the adult pool are the less used we can not decide on what plan would be best. are they capable to attach photos from a memory stick from a digital camera

I prefer the internet stations up at Cove Cafe over those down in the internet cafe. You cannot attach pictures with those computers. The last couple of cruises we've taken our notebook and DH got the wi-fi plan so we could do live updates and attach photos.

Got Nick all packed up. Went to the cookout at Mike's dad's house. Got to camp. ICK. New camp this year. Cabins not nearly as nice. icky mattresses which don't actually fit the beds and the plywood around the mattress had all sorts of debris/trash/ick. I have no idea what the bathrooms looked like. I don't think I want to know. Nick will get dipped in antibacterial gel before stepping in the car to come home. Praying for no deadly diseases. BLECH.

This was the kind of place I'd want to sleep with one eye open. At least he gets so worn out at camp that he probably will drop into bed and be asleep before the crud overtakes him!

hey all! We sent Josh off to boyscout camp this morning! I tried to hold it together best I could, and tried not to cry, but I was teary eyed when the car he was in pulled away! He'll have so much fun though! This is where they are staying: http://www.bsa-la.org/camping/eb/emerald_bay.html. By now, they probably made it over there safe and sound. He'll be back Saturday afternoon!

This is his 2nd time being away from home like this...however, last time, he went with school (Outdoor School) and we got nightly updates through an automated all-call system from the teachers. This time, we won't hear anything at all! They have a payphone there, but it's only for adults. Oh well, if he gets hurt or something, they'll call! No news is good news!

well, since I am 90% sure I know the flight we are going to be on (just waiting for a better deal), I reserved our car, since I came across a decent deal for Budget. They don't charge your credit card, so I can always cancel if something better comes along! Decided to go for a full size car, instead of a SUV like I originally planned. I think we'll be ok with a full size!

Looks to be a crazy week for me. My boss is on vacation, we have a few unhappy employees and I have a doctor's appointment. Oh fun!

However work pays for my cruises so in I go!
