Well.....

Mike called Children's today and Jack had a great night last night. Today he got a little tight, so they gave him another aerosol and another shot of steriods and he improved. They were talking about *maybe* sending him home this evening.

Just now Jack's grandma came over to update us. He was doing well. She was heading into the hospital to give mom a break. By the time she got there they were taking him to the ICU and putting him on a vent. Apparently he got very tight and had horrible stridor. He was working very hard to breathe. Now he's on a vent, sedated, and not fighting.....so that's good.

Thanks for continued prayers and pixiedust (I'm thanking you all in advance b/c I know you're all good for it!)

Good morning everyone! Really enjoyed the Disney shows yesterday. I love when Travel Channel does like programming on Sunday afternoons. They did one on Hawaii about a month before we left. Really brings the excitement level up.

Hi,

I'm back. I caught up with all the pages that I've missed lately. I read the horrible news about the 13 year old girl and baby Jack. My prayers are with both of them.

I've been overwhelmed with Easter. We are having everyone to our house - 32 people. I wouldn't say I'm overwhelmed - I'm stuck or scared and I don't want to think about it.

I also have to start planning the 6th grade promotion at our school. The 5th grade parents run the show.

I haven't thought about the cruise lately. My dd13 had a meeting with her counselors for next year. She wants to take Honors Biology, Honors Geometry and Italian next year. Karen - she wants to be a Dr. that works kids (well kids ) I'm so afraid that she won't be able to take a week off of school in high school.

My kids start Spring Break today!!!!

Glad to be back.

well, look what the cat dragged in! We missed you Jen! This week is our last week before spring break. They are getting Friday off! We will have Easter at DH's aunt's house on Sunday, and right after, we'll be leaving for a week at the beach. It will just be the kids and I mostly, DH will show up for a day or so here and there. He's been working a lot lately. I told him he needs a break, but he will hear nothing of it! I worry about him!

My neighbors are going to Washington DC on Wednesday for spring break and she is freaking out about flying and what she can and can't carry on! She is driving me insane! I gave her a website to look at, but she still calls and comes over constantly! I'll be glad when they're gone. I'm sorry I sound so mean, but man...everything is on the website!

I loved it too! I have it on the DVR and won't delete it and threatened the family with bodily harm if they dare to! I loved all the new footage! I am just so excited, I can't even stand it!! You guys have no idea how long I've been wanting this. It still feels surreal to me, and I still expect something to happen and we won't be able to go! I can't actually picture myself on the Magic!

Praying for Jack too...any updates?

Nothing yet. I'm thinking Mike will call the hospital over lunch. Since he's Jack's primary pediatrician, he's "allowed" to call and get information.

Jack update:
He's still on the vent. Good news (for those who know medicine) is he has an airleak around his ET tube! That means the swelling has gone down some. The plan now is to hope the air leak gets bigger indicating even less swelling, start weaning the sedation off tomorrow and he'll probably come off the vent in a couple of days.

We're doing the DVC Member Cruise October 21-25th. It will be our 4th DVC cruise.

waiting for DH to get home... *tapping foot* He is staying home with DD while DS and I go to the Angels Home Opener. I was hoping we could make it there for batting practice and autographs, but I don't think it's gonna happen. We'll be lucky to make it there by 7, seeing it's rush hour traffic now!

no! we haven't received a call talked to DCL and they do not expect cancellations until final payments are due. that will be to late for us as we need to make plane rental car and hotel reservation in about 2 months. looks like we will have to wait until another cruise to go through the Panama canal

Angels won!! I love opening day! So good to be back at Angels Stadium!!

Buckeyes didn't. But we were pretty nervous about this game. FL was a good team this year. All of their starters were seniors. All of our starters were freshman.

Oh well, at least the state where our "second home" is won!

Condolences to the Buckeye fans. Still you have plenty of reasons to be proud. Many teams would have loved to be in both National Championship games and you guys made it to both.
