haha...our cruise is a whopping $10 more now than it was on Nov. 1st, when I booked! What will I do with all the money I saved??

well Mary, looks like you may get your DCL cruise to Alaska in the near future! I am sure that's where at least one of the two new ships will go! I am excited, my kids will be old enough to hopefully enjoy an Alaskan cruise by then! :cheer2:

Wow. I come here first before I go to the main board and I was surprised to see this. Thanks for the info.

bummer, I just called DCL and as of January 31, 2007, they do no longer accept IC faxes for cruises currently not offered! So I wasted my time faxing for inaugral sailing of the new ship!

Hmmmm....wonder when I put in my request to sale Alaksa with Mark and Mary. I wanna say that was in February. WAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Mary is going to Hawaii tomorrow!! Have a safe trip, Mary!!!! I'm jealous! Take me, please?:beach:

Hi everyone! We're ready to go. Bags are all packed and my in-laws will be here within the hour. We're taking the notebook so should be able to check in once or twice.

We are excited about the new ships! We do have a request faxed in and never got a postcard about it (like in the past). Oh well. Things can really change in the next couple of years. Besides Karen you are a vet at calling in for the DVC Member Cruise. We'll get on that cruise together!

Sorry I never got to the website updates (things got crazy at work). They are all safe in my in-box and I promoise to do them when I get back.

Mark and Mary, if you aren't already gone...
Have a great trip! :)

Soak up some sunshine! :sunny:

Good morning everyone! Well it is 3:30 in the morning here in Hawaii but we are wide awake!

Had a really great flight! It wasn't 10 hours it was actually 9 1/2. Really though it was very smooth and the time went relatively quickly. They showed 2 movies and we had brought out own movies and our books so it was all good.

The resort is beatutiful! Definately up to Disney stanards. We got an 11th floor ocean view room. Which also means we have a view of the construction site but that's cool. Saw an absolutely beautful sunset last night. I even got to see the famed green flash. Awesome!

Today the plan is just to explore the resort and maybe do some snorkeling. I definately see a nap in my future. :)

Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 61 weeks!

found us mid way down on page two thought i would bump us back up to page one Mary and Mark nice to hear you are enjoying Hawaii it has gotten cold again here on the east coast again

I was wondering who would do our weekly countdown, but I see Mary did not leave home without her laptop! :thumbsup2 Glad you are having a wonderful time! Hope you take some pictures to share with us when you get back!! :thumbsup2

Did you say pictures? Here are a few that Mark uploaded for me:

First, we flew in right over the resort we're staying at, it's the two buildings near the bottom, the Ko Olina Beach Club:

They don't just give out lei's at the airport or such, but they do have vendors selling them. Mark bought us some. Beautiful plumeria which we both love. Mark grows them at home and we love the scent of them.

Yes, Bear gets to go too:

And, a better look at the ocean view from our balcony:

And last, for now, we did get some snorkeling in those lagoons shown above:

Tomorrow's plan is to go to a fish feeding at Lagoon 1, then the Marriott presentation, then a drive into Honolulu and maybe over to Sea Life Park.

This resort is really wonderful. Lots of activities and the pools and lagoons are fantastic. Would you believe we even ran into someone we knew here. What a small world!

Hey, these are the same ones I saw on the other thread! :) It's like deja vu! :)

Still beautiful! Keep having fun and relaxing!!!

Mark and Mary,

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Have an awesome time in Hawaii!

When I was on Ohau last I ate at a place called Longhi's (sp?). It was so good. I know they have them on other islands too. If you get a chance you should try it.

Have fun:banana:

Hi,

I have been so busy this weekend.

Kay - we went to Sisley in T.O. on Friday night for my mil's 78th  birthday. However, she went to the hospital on Thursday night and couldn't join us. We went to dinner anyway because my neice came in from San Fransisco. I left dinner early because I felt like I had a stomach bug and I had an hour drive home. (I love Sisley - and I only ate a side order of mashed potatoes:sad1: ). My mil will be released today and is doing well.

Kay - do you know M. Fredic stores? They had a warehouse sale in Agoura on Saturday and everything for the kids was $10. It was great.

Last night I went to the Kings game at Staples Center. I've never been to Staples and I've never been to a hockey game. It was very exciting. Someone gave my girlfriend 14 tickets to a luxury suite. It was amazing.

Today I'm off to the girl scout cookie warehouse to organize cookies. I have to be back by 11:15 because the girls and I are taking my mom to tea (belated XMAS).

Have a great day everyone!!

U-TOP

great pictures, Mary!! Looks amazing! Wish I could be there right now! sigh! We don't have a big vacation planned until the cruise! Just a week over spring break where we are renting a beach house on the coast here, and then we'll be renting the same house again for a week over summer break and then we are going camping in August on the coast!

I'll be back in a bit...DH wants to go out to breakfast!

ah man, I wish I would have known about the M Fredic sale! I have only been there once and liked their stuff!

Hope your MIL is ok! Hey, you didn't by any chance look around the TO mall and see their Crocs cart, did you? I am wondering if they have Disney crocs there, I can't find them anywhere around here and don't want to order them off their website without DD trying them on first!
