ah man, Mary...you got the 1,000th post! Brat! Welcome home though! I'll read your write ups in the morning!

Kaylee and I are back from the desert. DH and DS are camping out there with the rest of the boy scout troop! We had a great day! The kids and DH went soaring! You are basically sitting in a glider with an instructor, and are pulled up in the air by a small engine plane. Then, once you reach a certain altitude, the plane cuts you loose and you glide (soar) for about 15 minutes! I was surprised that DD wanted to do it. She is only 7. She came back down, smiling from ear to ear, and loved it!! Jen, we went to this place called West Coast Soaring School or something like that in Palmdale/Little Rock! We drove through Santa Clarita on the 14 and I thought of you! It was just Kaylee and I on the way home, it was getting dark right as I got on the 14 and I HATED the drive home. Kaylee fell asleep, we have been up since about 6 this morning, she was exhausted and I was SO tired driving! I thought "man, I wish I knew where Jen lived, I'd stop by" Instead, I got some beef jerky and sunflower seeds. That stuff always keeps me awake! We're home now, my face is red and hurts! ouch! And my lips are chapped from the wind! It was a gorgeous day though!

The boys are staying in tents and the parents (mostly dads) are staying in 2 RV's. It's going to be COLD there tonight. I hope DS will be ok! He does have a 0 degree mummy sleeping bag and there are 3 boys per tent, so it should be ok! I also packed him more warm clothes than he'll need!

I'm looking forward to my warm bed tonight. I am completely exhausted!!

Good morning everyone! OMG I didn't even realize I got the milestone!

Just so you know - something we started on the Dec. '04 thread was that we celebrate not only who got the milestone post but the reply as well. That's because back then you could only tell post numbers on the main page not in the thread itself like you can now. When the board got new software we realized that all the posts we thought were milestones were actually replies to the milestones. So we celebrate both!

Kay - I'm off the 5 Fwy not the 14. If you exit the 14 you still have 25 minutes of cross town traffic to deal with to get to my house.

Actually, this is how I've started to stay in touch with my neices.

I haven't forgotten that I have a ?? for the podcast. I'll call it in this week (or at least it is on my list).

I've got mostly family as friends too. And the family's dogs! Sheesh. DOGS with myspace pages! Thing is, I go to their site all the time b/c I love the song they have on there! Ain't no collarwearin' dog....I ain't no collarwearin' dog. Once my mom tried to put it on, but I made a big fuss so she took it off cuz I ain't no collarwearin' dog, I ain't no collarwearin' dog!

Here's the plan for tonight....
be here when Mike gets home from his root canal. Try not to withhold ALL of my sympathy! HA
4:20--drive into Columbus to get Nick to rehearsal by 5:00 (he'll eat there)
4:50--drive KT to her rehearsal and eat a bagged dinner with her
5:30-7:30--hang out at KT's rehearsal, write blog entries, curse the ppl who finally password protected their network.
7:30--head back over to Nick's rehearsal, attempt to gain entry to the theater once I pass all of the tests, get past the evil troll (seriously, there is a woman there who is like an evil troll!) and practically have my DNA sampled to prove that I should be there.
7:45-8:30--once breaking through the line of guards keeping me from the theater, watch the rest of Nick's rehearsal.
9:10--arrive back at home.

Best part of tonight....the rehearsal is only slated to go until 8:30. As opposed to those on Wednesday and Thursday which go until 10!!!

That's how my week was last week. I tell my friends that if they see me on the side of the road having a nervous breakdown, just keep driving I'll be okay.

hey everyone! Jen, I just added you as a friend on myspace!

My face is sunburned and hurts, it was painful putting on makeup for work this morning. It's a bit better now! I never thought that the sun would be so intense in the desert! I had to be at work at 8:15 this morning because I worked for the office manager. It's so hard getting myself ready and the kids out the door at the same time. Tomorrow, I am back to my regular schedule of 10am. It's so nice getting home from dropping the kids off, having a cup of coffee in peace and DISing! I missed the DIS this morning! I was able to sneak on at work for a bit, but Kindergarten registration started, so I was busy doing that today!

I have the Castaway Cay desktop picture from the Shoreline Survival Kit (I think that's what it's called) on my desktop at work, and everyone always stops by to admire it! It's nice to turn my computer on at work in the morning and see that. Reminds me of why I'm there!

Going to go see what's new on the boards, and what new rant there is on the community board
