Sorry I know there must be a thread about this but I've searched and searched and can't find it. I know the late seating dinner is 8/8:15/8:30 but what about breakfast and lunch? Are they open seating?

Breakfast and Lunch are open seating on every day except for the Character Breakfast and your last morning. For the Character Breakfast you will be told by your server the night before. For the last day you will get your breakfast time the day before and you will be in the same resturant as you were in the night before.

For all the rest you have the options of eating at Topsiders (buffet) or one of the sit downs with open seating.

Or Pinnochio's or Pluto's. :) Or room service.

You won't go hungry!

p.s. Mary, are you planning on going to the character breakfast?

But what time are breakfast and lunch served?

Only if you are. :) I think we'll have enough characters at dinner. :lmao:

There are no set times. I think there are breakfast options as early as about 6/630. Breakfast nearly runs into lunch. Lunch nearly runs into dinner. Places like Pinnochio's (pizza) and Pluto's (burgers/hot dogs/fries) are open most of the day...

Oh, another option I forgot about....Goofy's galley (wraps, fruits, ice cream treats)

ha ha ha. cute! :)

Typically we don't go. Usually by the time our character breakfast comes around, we're ready to sleep in a day! Plus we do have character meals scheduled during our time at Disney --I think on that next Monday at the Kona Cafe we're eating with two characters (see, two can play that game!)

It's usually a "let's see how we feel in the morning kinda call".....and we know there are other options, so we don't feel like we HAVE to.

Yep - big characters at Kona Cafe. :rotfl:

We're kind of been there done that. Especially now that the characters don't come to each table.

Maybe even some Mardi Gras beads for all you yankees - and I mean that in a good way......

Ok I'll ask what do we have to do to get the Mardi Gras beads Ginny :rotfl2:

I saw somewhere that you are not supposed to "save" deck chairs by the pool. I have always done this on other cruises, put a towel and some belongings. Does anyone else do this? LOL

Hey, not all of us are yankees! Neener :-p I guess I deserved that after all my Air Conditioner comments.

It's great that we have such a mix of people in our roll call. Folks from Potato Land, Cajun Country, the Nawth Eeast, Californ-eye-Aye, Oh Canada, The Sunshine State, the southeast, and Utah. Then we've got large families (like the reunion) and couples. All age groups are represented, even with my miscalculations. (I know now what I did wrong with the ages - I used the metric system {wink}).

I'd love some beads, but I probably won't do what you're supposed to do to earn them during Mardi Gras. :lmao: They say this is a family vacation.

Ginny - have you ever been to Mardi Gras? Either way, I think you know the answer to your question. Hehe

I think if you're going to be around, in and out of the pool, or you're going to grab your lunch at the buffet, that it's ok to save a chair. I think the problem is when people go out at 6:00, put a towel on a chair and then go back to bed, go to breakfast, and then come to the pool and wonder why their chair is taken.

So yeah, short periods of time.....cool.
Leaving all your stuff so you can go to lunch, play bingo, and then shop in port....not cool.

Okay, let me set the record straight, and this comes from a NATIVE! Only the tourists go down in the French Quarter and show their "stuff" for beads. That was really started within the last 30 years, and is about the only sight that makes the evening news. All of the residents go to the parades (most with their families) and catch the beads thrown from the floats. On this cruise, however, to get some beads, you must show me your......

:lmao:  Smile! :jumping1:
