Hello fellow cruisers,

I was just wondering :confused3 if anyone can suggest where I can get an underwater camera. I dont want the "nice" ones that are hundreds of dollars. I checked the web and found some "cheaper" ones, but of course since we are leaving in 6 days, I need to get it at a regular store. Thanks for any help, I appreciate it. See ya all next week. Thanks, Lori

Wamart k-mart or your grocery store. I got a disposable for 10 bucks. they take good pics. Cant wait....almost 5 days to go  :cool1: :hourglass :wave2:

I’m packed!! Totally packed!! I could leave tomorrow with no problem at all. The worst part is going to be focusing at work for these last few days (obviously no succeeding so far today).

DH and I will be in lime green shirts on check in day. We will also have the Mickey heads (well, I will. Can’t make any promises on DH. I believe the shirt was enough of a shock to his system and he doesn’t even know the secret meaning behind it :rotfl2: .)

For those of you who are wondering, lime green is sort of the official color of the Dis. From what I’ve read, it started as lime green ribbons (because it seemed no other organization had claimed that color), then the Dis actually started selling merchandise in lime green (they still do but I can’t find the page) and when the Disney paint colors at home depot came out Dis’ers all over the place started using them in order to identify themselves to other Dis’ers while traveling.

To those of you who are already packed...I am so envious. I have done nothing yet :rolleyes1 Guess i better get going. I will also try to remember to wear my lime green shirt to the port and will look for those of you dressed in lime!

You would I never sailed last year. We took 2 suitcases and 2 carry on's last year and didn't wear half of the stuff. I started packing last night, and its even more than that. Went through it and took some stuff out, and I'm gonna have to do it at least 1 time more, and I gotta get rid of like 1/4 of it. I'm starting to stress here. Still gotta get my mickeys, I have some from last year but I moved and I have NO idea where they are. I can't wait till Saturday!!!!!!!!!

I think we got ours at Shop Rite cheap but will do the job!

thanks all for the camera advice. I was at wal-mart (for the millionth time ) and got them there. They were less than 8 bucks YAY

Cant wait, cant even think straight anymore, I feel like my mind is totally obsessed with getting everything ready. Good luck everyone this week with concentrating. LOL

Lori, glad you found the cameras! That's another thing I still have to get.

The last minute panic is starting to set in already! I packed a suitcase and our garment bag and sent them down with my parents (they take the Amtrak autotrain) so we don't have as much stuff to carry in the airport. I found out DS outgrew almost everything from last summer so I have to go to the mall tomorrow to get him some shorts and stuff. I really can't believe how fast the cruise is coming up now! It's almost too soon LOL

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one not totally ready. Although for a bad procrastinator I think I'm doing pretty good :cool1:

The only thing that's bothering me is I am waking up in the middle of the night and cant fall back to sleep. I keep having dreams like going to the airport with absolutely no luggage. Then another dream of a plane taking off from the top deck so I can go home and get my luggage. Silly things.

But I'm sure once I get on board everything will be ok. Just got to get through the next few days. Would love to hear if anyone else going on their first cruise is as frazzled as I am so I dont feel alone :flower:
Thanks for reading my rambling......Newbie Lori

CruiseNewbie - I'm sure you're not the only one that's having weird dreams. I had one a couple of weeks ago.

For me, packing is like pacing. I packed to work off the fidgets. :) Now I'm moving on to doing other things like making luggage tags (that's tonight's project at least). I think the next couple of days are going to fly. :earseek:

WE ARE PULLING OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AT 3:00 pm TOMORROW!!!
I can't believe it's here already.

Does anyone else almost feel like they don't want the trip to start yet because then it eventually has to be over? Me and DH were talking about that the other day. The build-up is so exciting and the cruise will be amazing-we want these feelings to last as loooooooong as possible.

We are basically packed - good thing since we are leaving tomorrow (we're driving down to Port Canaveral - we actually enjoy the car ride - go figure)!

I am 99% sure we have everything we need and probably some stuff we don't-lol. Are any of you into collecting Disney Pins? Do you bring your lanyards on board the ship. DH wants to - he really loves the whole Pin thing - it's kind of funny because he doesn't usually get caught up in stuff like that!

Oh well - I look forward to meeting everyone on Saturday~

I was just saying to my friend that i've been so wrapped up in getting ready for the cruise and talking about it all the time, that i will have to find something else to obsess about when the cruise is over. :rotfl2:
have a safe drive!

I so agree with you both. We booked this trip over a year ago and the planning, build up, etc has been so fun. It will be a wonderful trip but will be over much too soon! We leave for the airport at 5am Friday morning....

So, on another thread someone mentioned recognizing people on their cruise from seeing their pictures on the boards. So, even though we are both going to be in lime green shirts on the first day, I thought I would share with you what my husband and I look like.

This is me (not the best picture but you can see the lime green mickey that is always hanging from my WDW bag).

This is hubby. I have better pictures of him but I figured that he’ll most likely have this look of confusion/bewilderment on his face at the beginning of the trip. :rotfl:

Kelly, Have a safe trip down there!

You're absolutely right! Every trip we take, I get so excited before hand that it is such a sad feeling when it's over :( (But to help combat that, I'm in the midst of planning a Star Wars weekend and MNSSHP week too LOL)

Jordgubben, you two are such a cute couple! How did you get the lime green tag? I'll have to figure out how to laminate one of those Home Depot things....and quickly LOL

I don't know how to post pictures, but it sounds like we'll be easy to spot! Seems like we'll be the only ones with young kids on the ship if everyone here is bringing older ones :) You'll recognize us by the 4 adults chasing a 5 1/2 yr old and 1yr old DD who is practicing running away from us already.

Stimpy - the lime green tag in my picture is the famed Home Depot paint chip cut out, laminated and hole punched with a keyring. :)

So, using Stimpy’s list, I counted the number of people on this thread (including spouses and children) and we are 108 strong. If you add in the people traveling in groups with DISers the number jumps to 133. According to what I found online the Magic holds 1720 passengers. So that means that this thread represents almost 8% of the cruise. Just thought some of you might find that interesting. :)

DCBROWN - THANK YOU THANK YOU
Megan received the Green Mickey today! Apparently she received the third degree in the front office - they wanted to know what she was going to do with the Mickey Head - LOL
I have a feeling they were just curious - it was opened when she received it so they probably thought it was odd. Hey, at least they are paying attention to stuff, right?
I am looking forward to meeting you this weekend. It should be pretty funny when Megan sees you too.

Thanks again-
Kelly :flower:

We were supposed to cruise with our friends from Londonderry, NH. It would have been our second Western, but we had to cancel. Now I regret it very, very much! For all those of you cruising for the first time, be prepared for the vacation of your life. You will have a wonderful trip. Bon voyage everyone! The McNuss family will be thinking of you!

Ok, so I was wondering around AC Moore today and when I came across these great sheets of bright green craft foam I thought, "that's cool, what could I do with that?"

So, sorry Lance, I got the idea of the ever present bracelet. Just strips of foam with a rivit holding it together.

If you think these are lame, you're not alone, my DH thought so too. But, if you think that you'd like one to identify yourself as a DISer throughout the cruise let me know and I'll have one waiting for you at the meet at Scoops.

I think that's a great idea! I would certainly wear one - THANKS!

We are leaving in a few short hours!

Can't wait to meet everyone - DISNEY MAGIC HERE WE COME!!!!
