April 23, 2005 Western

I have to go shopping this weekend, I've decided to follow the new dress code and be casual, except for formal, semi-formal, and our night at Palo. I'm going to try to get some cute outfits with capris. But if you're looking for dressy clothes, how about Estelles on Route 110, you can always find something there, the place is enormous. The mall is always good, and Dress Barn also has some nice dresses. I think I'm going out to Riverhead outlets this weekend, see what I can find. Its funny just today I really started getting excited. I was thinking last year 3 weeks before our cruise, I was a nutcase, hoping not to forget anything, and I starting thinking that I wasn't getting crazy at all for this cruise, so of course I started to get nervous. I was so nervous, that I left work at 4 pm thinking it was 5, didn't realize it until halfway home, called my boss, who started cracking up. So what did I do with my free hour? I went to Payless for shoes for all of us, and Kmart as well, the fastest $150 I've ever spent in my life. They have some adorable slides for girls in Kmart, pretty cheap $10 a pair. They're hot pink, blue, and green, they also have white, and they have a little rhinestone buckle on them, too cute, so I had to by the DD, 2 pairs of those, and a beige pair of suede sandals to match everything. I won't spend alot on sandals, 90% of the time she wears her sneakers. I still have to find black dress shoes, but they can't be "babyish" and they have to have a high heel! Go Figure!

From Finding Nemo " Todays the day our documents are on the way and we are are going cruising!! " I can only hope they do not fly the documents to Ohio to get to Jersey. Like we have to fly to get to the ship!! :hourglass :bounce:

Hey DC, rough day yesterday lol. Anyway, I figure I'm gonna bring 2 large suitcases, 1 duffel and 1 carry on. WAY less than last year. What about you?

Hey everyone -

We are starting to get really excited over here! We are actually going out of town this weekend to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossoms and when we get back I will begin my packing for the Cruise!!!!! I can't believe it's almost here - seems like we booked it so long ago.

So this is our 1st experience with a 7 day cruise. The only other Cruise was the 4 day Disney in 2003. It was an AWESOME experience. I am wondering if you have any special tips for the 7 day. Of course on the 4 day we went to the restaurants for dinner everynight - Palo 1 night - and we went up to the buffet for breakfast everyday. This time I am thinking it might be nice to do room service for breakfast sometimes and possibly for 1 dinner - although we really enjoyed the restaurants last time.

How much clothes do I REALLY need to bring for everyone? Seriously - I am pretty sure I will overpack anyway but I am curious to here some tips from experienced cruisers.

Also - any advice on what to sign up for at the Spa? I would really like to take advantage of that this time. Last time with only the 4 days I didn't want to miss anything but I feel like this time I will have more time for leisure-maybe?

Oh yeah - what do I need to do to make sure I have a "green" nametag for the family? - I forgot

Sorry to go on and on but this is the first time I've had a chance to collect my thoughts and type them out without being interrupted!!!

Can't wait to meet everybody!!!!

I made this offer awhile ago but that was probably before some of you joined the thread.

I will gladly email the file for this name tag if they are interested. Just PM me with your email address.

Or if you happen to be at Home Depot...just mozy on over to the paint dept and get a swatch from the Disney color "Alien Green"!
There needs to be an Alien Green Mickey smilie to add to our posts!

I love the name tags! They came out so cute! Unfortunately, since I am such a loser at technical stuff, I would never be able to print them out myself LOL (And I'm the expert in the house! )

Anyone else panicing since we ONLY have less than 3 weeks left??? Now I'm really starting to stress about everything.

Silliesmom,
I and my kids pack 1 overnight bag each believe it or not!! The bag checker at the airport is always amazed!! Thats my former flight attendent training in the works!! Maybe this time I will take an actual suitcase....we'll see!! I just like to move quickly through wherever we go....I hate standing around waiting for someone to deal with my luggage. Happy Packing!!

Does anyone have Debbie's number to book the REAS package. After doing some reading on the main Cruise Line Forum page I DEFINITELY know this is something that we want to do.
Thanks in advance :flower:

Sillysmom,
The secret is color...its in the color...just bring things you can mix and match with the same color. I always use black, white or khaki...then the rest is easy!

Hi Kelly,

Debbie's number is 407-566-7411. Hope you get the reservations you want. I also asked her if I could book the brunch when I talked to her she let me so if you are interested in bunch go ahead and do it all when you call her. There is an additional $10.00 fee per person for brunch. See you in 19 days. I cant believe its almost time!!!

P.S. Here is a post that has alot of good info and pictures on the REAS package: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=506211&highlight=+romantic++escape++at++sea

Hope this works :confused3

YAAAAY! I just booked the REAS package and I got dates/times that work out great!
I CAN"T BELIEVE HOW SOON WE LEAVE!!!!!

I HAVE to start packing this week- which I also can't believe I need to do. It seemed like it was so far away and now it's just around the corner.
Me and DH are organizing a HUGE 1 day event at our Church for local youth groups and it's on April 17th - I am going crazy with that so I CANNOT wait to get on the ship.

Btw- We are going to Palo for Brunch on Sunday morning and Dinner on Tues night. Debbie was terrific - she suggested I request a rotation - which I wasn't going to bother with but she said that since we are only a party of 4 traveling by ourselves that I should. Her suggestion for us was LAP so that's what I did. I know nothing is guaranteed but she sure made it seem like it was likely that we would get that rotation. It really does make booking everything a LOT easier. The best part of this is that is was DH's idea. He felt like it is so worth it to have our reservations taken care of and now we don't have to worry too much about that stuff once we get on the ship. Yaay - more free time to play!!!!

Also - we are planning on being at the Radisson around 12:00-1:00 on Friday so we would probably be interested in doing dinner. Have you decided on a time yet?

See you real soon - ::MickeyMo
