April 23, 2005 Western

My Parakeets are a bit older (17 and 12) and have been going to JB concerts since they were little .....and yes we will be visiting Margaritaville!! We did Universal after the cruise last year...in fact it was Easter Sunday....stayed at the Hard Rock and had the "go to the front of the line deal"....it was great!! Just enough time to do Universal before we went home on Monday.

We made it to double-digits!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cool1:

Hello to all 4/23 Magic cruisers. We are a family of four, DH DW DD DS anxiously counting down the days! This will be our second Dis cruise we did the 4 day Land/ 3 day Sea a while back. The kids got bit by the boat bug worse than DW & me, when we asked them to choose between another land/sea or the seven day cruise ... well here we are counting down the days! :cool1:

We want to take a cab to 7 Mile Beach also. We did the Stingrays last time. Where on 7 mile beach do you go? I read somewhere that there is a public beach or that you can go to one of the hotels where they have chairs, etc?

Hey Careycrew,

Where are you in Jersey and how old is your daughter? I have in my party a dd,17,15,12 and 10......surely you must have one of those? Yankee...I went to Grand Caymen and stayed at a condo unit on 7 mile beach....we used to walk down to the Marriot and lunch and have drinks (the most expensive I have ever had in my life!) and sit in thier chairs on thier beach.

Hey everyone, our family was wondering how many 11-12 y/o boys and 8-9 y/o girls are cruising from our group. Our kids would like to start a little e-mail club to get to know each other a little bit before we embark! :cool1:

We have two 11 year old boys in our group and a 7 year old girl and a 10 year old that would be closest to the ages of your kids. Maybe we should start a thread for kids and teens that are going to be on this cruise.

OH yeah! our DD is 12 and fits right in to your crew, DS is 10. We hail from up Morris County near Chatham. How about yourself?

We live on Eastern Long Island. We are traveling with a group of 3 other families - there will be 17 of us total on the cruise. There are 9 kids in the group. The oldest child is 16 and the youngest is 7.

Wow, looks like my DS will be all alone in the club! LOL It seems most of you have older kids travelling with you. Ds is only 5 and DD will be 1. I guess I know where I can find some babysitters ;)

I see there will be many friends for my dd who will be 15 and just turning 18 while on the cruise.
Can't wait. We are doing Rum point beach in Grand Cayman as it is much nicer than 7 mile. We have been to both.
Just shopping in Key West and undeceided on Cozumel!!!

I am also from Long Island (Smithtown) and have two children going on the cruise. DD12 and DS8. It would be nice to have them all meet prior to the cruise at a central location to break the ice........something like Sport Plus. Any thoughts on this?

Hi everyone-

I wanted to let you know that my family will be going on this Cruise too! There's myself and my husband and our 2 children, our daughter is 9 and our son is 6.
This will be our second Disney Cruise - the first was in Aug. 2003 - 4 day Bahama
We are really excited about the Western Carribean.

Any experienced cruisers with any special tips for us???

Hey dkmjgal, welcome, you are going to have the best vacation ever. This is our second cruise, last year we did the eastern. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to PM me or just ask here. I have a DD who is eight who is 9 also. Maybe they will hang out in the clubs. Talk to you soon, Linda

Hey JNC, I did not forget about you, our computer has been down at home and it should be fixed now, please, please ask your DD to email Gina again, how about I start a thread for the kids going on the cruise, what do you guys think of that?

I think a thread for the kids would be cool! I generally keep my daughter off message boards and the internet (unless it's school related) but I think it would be neat for her to meet some of the kids ahead of time and her and I could do it together.

We're going to try and make our decisions on excursions by this weekend so I have some research to do. :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

Anyway Im happy to email you and maybe we will run into each other on the cruise....(i cant wait!!!) Hope to chat again befor the cruise. CU

OK I've made the thread for the kids to post on its "Kids Thread for April 23, 2005", and dkmjgal's DD has made the first post YEA!!!!!!!!!!! :jumping4:

This will be our first cruise ever! I am soooo excited! Cruisin with our two boys, ages 9 and 11. Sounds like a lot of girls going to be on board, any other boys out there? :boat:

This will be our first Disney Cruise also. We have two boys 3 and 11 so maybe our 11 year olds will be in the same group togeter. Ive noticed alot of east coast families going on our cruise. So far we are the only ones from California that i have seen. I didn't realize that the schools out there are out for spring break during the cruise. Our school break is earlier in April. I was wondering why it seemed like the cruise was sold out but now I know why. Anyway hope to chat again befor the cruise...take care.

Welcome to all the new people on this cruise!!!

I was wondering if anyone had any younger kids going this time? I saw the kid's post, which is a great idea, and was wondering if DS-5 should try it? I don't want him to get his hopes up that he would maybe have a new friend and find out he didn't have anyone to talk to there.
