April 22, 2006 - 7-night Western!!!

I cant' believe you all are mostly packed! I have my two youngest packed..with the exception of diapers, formula, wipes, bottles, etc...all clothes and pirate costumes done...but as for the big kids and the parents..still need to do that. Probably will wrap up by 8pm on Friday night.

It may have something to do with my new job....lots of learning going on, and not able to sneak out early to get ready... I may end up forgetting everything and wear a swimsuit and a wrap to dinner every night!!!

Whatever!!! I'm just excited to be on board!!! Yippeeeeeee!! See you all on Saturday! Deck 10, portside, mid-ship. Be there, or be square! (As square as you can be while on a CRUISE!!)

Well, I have been 98% packed for 3+ weeks now and have trying very hard to eliminate some of it as I'm really worried that Southwest Airlines is going to enforce the 50 lb max weight and I don't want to be charged extra for overweight bags!!! Problem is if I split it into 6 suitcases plus carryon bags, I'm not entirely sure who will carry/pull them as there is only 3 of us

And let me just tell you how badly I want to lug my body pillow cross country!!! Don't know how I will ever sleep for 10 nights away from home without it Do you think if I packed the long pillow case, I could stuff the pillows on board inside and make my own??? Wouldn't be quite the same but better than nothing at all!

Gotta run...bills to pay...clothes to wash...sleep......

Well we are having a kink in our plans - we need prayers! my hubby is coming home from Iraq to go on this cruise and he is stuck in Kuwait right now! He was supposed to be home tomorrow but not sure when he will get here now - hopefully in time for the cruise - I would really miss him on the cruise

Sharon, 3 suitcases for your ENTIRE party? You're good. We have 3 suitcases, 1 garmet bag and carryons for each of us. I am going to try and eliminate some items tonight, but I still think we'll have that many bags. Hey they gave us 6 luggage tags so I figure we're still doing good.

no that is three pieces just for me I wish it was only three for whole family. there is 5 check ins, & four small carry on


I'm so ready. I think DGODD & I will be spending alot of unwanted time in the cabin. She has a ten year old ATTITUDE problem, & it needs to be adjusted I told her if she didn't fix it I would fix itfor her.

Ok he is on a flight right now and hopefully will get into Memphis at 2 pm today - but till I see him I will not belive it. So we are not in the clear yet. He should get to Chicago around 10:30 this morning - and once he is in the states I can rest a little easier! I pray no storms or anything like that. It has been a major mess getting him here - looking forward to meeting everyone!

Had A magical cruise. Will post tomorrow, just got home around 9:30, had to delete 250 e-mails, where I told people to hold all e-mails till I was home.

I bought lots of pictures . I have to recheck my bill seems way to high for me

Major vacation blues today.

Okay I have to admit, I cried as I exited the ship and pretty much all the way to the airport. Disney just isn't nice when they blast the music as you're leaving and the darn bus driver played Disney music all the way to the airport and showed a good bye Disney Cruise Line video.

Needless to say we had a great trip. The last minute upgrade to a cat 5 put the icing on the cake. We had awsome servers Louis and Beethoven, and our room attendant Maurice as so sweet. But, the best connection we made was with Pikey and Travis. They were so entertaining and funny. AND, they really made Amanda feel special with the attention they gave her. Especially Pikey. She was able to call Bingo with him at the pool and he presented her with a certificate at one of the regular Bingo's. She's pretty much made up her mind that she wants to work for Disney after college. I think that would be a great experience for her. Does anyone know if we can e-mail the cruise staff? I would love to send them a thank you with a picture of them and Amanda.

How many of you connected over the cruise? We met Kerri Ann and her family. I'm so glad that your husband made it. That must have the been the ultimate in your magical moments last week.

We made some great memories. And are looking forward to another cruise. We did book a future cruise so we could get the discount, but probably won't be able to do it until 2008.

Please share your trip experiences. I would love to hear everyone's stories.

Well, I guess it's time to unpack and go grocery shopping.

I know I speak for my family and eeyoregon also when I say it was a wonderful week! Our two year old may have been a touch young, as we spent quite a bit of time in the cabin during/after tantrums, but even she said "Don't want it!" when it was time to go home!

I am planning on writing up a detailed trip report, but unfortunately, it's back to work for me today! I'm throwing in some laundry and heading out, while the rest of my family sleeps off the "motion of the ocean" today. I swear, my house is still rocking...any of you still have that feeling?

Does anyone know if KrisannB and her hubby made it? I never saw them on the boat, and I looked around a lot for a military guy, especially on formal night!

I saw on another post where hubby made it home. I was in the elavator on formal night, in comes this handsome man(&pretty wife) in full military dress blues. I thanked him for serving our country. I never thought to ask if was KrisannB & family. We were in the glass elavator which is smaller, I don't remember if there were children or not. KrisannB let me know if that was your family.

I saw eeyoregon door sign, & I think I saw a great family picture of Jenn & family from pirate night. The infant was the first clue. I did run into two people the first day. One from NY forgot her name.

Oh DISers I had my grown on at the sailaway party . I went back & forth from side to side looking for DISers.
