April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Good morning everyone!!! Can you believe it, we're down to single digits and I can't wait!!! And, did anyone notice that we're posting on page 99!! Who's the lucky poster that will bring us to page 100???

Thak Goddness CTC I am not the only one feeling OLD :scared1: with these stories of matried 15 years and under. We will be celebrating 24 years in August, but I don't feel like I am old, but still don't like to say or think about my age. I feel younger because of having a 13 years old, or is that you feel older when youhave a teenage....:rolleyes1

Oh good Paula I'm not alone. Now in my house the one that is keeping us young or feeling old at times is my 3 1/2 yr old..I hate to see what I will feel like when he's 13.

I'm with you about the snow I'm really done seeing it, driving in it, shelving it, etc, etc, the thing is I usually don't like to travel in the winter so we travel in April thinking we wouldn't have to worry about snow. Well would you believe we are schuduled to fly out of Manchester on Tues and on Tues we are surpose to be getting more snow....What a joke.....At least I won't miss the cruise if I get snowed in at the airport. But it will still be a pain...

I had included pictures of Taylor and I in my christmas card, she hung it on her frig. He was friends with her DH and saw my picture, he refers to that as my 'marketing picture' now :teeth:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

When I was 21 or 22 I had this really nice photo of myself that my Grampa kept on top of the console TV. I used to go into Manhattan every weekend, sometimes twice a week, and into Brooklyn to go clubbing (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat!). I wouldn't come home until 5:00, 6:00 a.m. so of course, Grampa worried.
I told him if anything happened to me, Do Not give them a bad picture of me to put in the paper, on the news, etc.
Use the nice one on top of the TV....
He always referred to it as the Press Photo...Now it's on my dresser:love:

It's nice to hear all the Love Stories...
It's just more positive energy that will flow with us on our much anticipated vacation...what's it called,
Collective Consciousness?:grouphug:

Thanks for the consoling, guys..Yesterday after work I was on my way to my meeting and I said to my boss, Okay, what room's the meeting in? He and the secretary both looked at me like I had three heads....There was no meeting:laughing:
Then I get in my car to look at the mail that I had from work and I saw a brown envelope that had my student survey's in it (they rate me). I got a 4.88 out of 5
Then I made a nice dinner and went for a walk for almost two hours, completed all my work work and then took a bath:angel: So as you can see, my days go to extremes. Thanks for letting me vent to you!

Last night before bed I heard sleet hitting the skylights....
But there's no sign of any snow here. I feel sorry for you guys up north. Let's hope that storm they're predicting for Sunday doesn't materialize like they think it will.

This weekend we will not be doing anything but packing. Which means, everyone will be loafing around the house while I clean the pantry, closets, etc. and finish all our packing while everyone else complains there's nothing to do:rotfl2:
They'll help, but it's not like I do it, you know?
Cheryl, I will speak with Kathy today...She's off...

Talk with you all lata! Have a good day everyone!

Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!!
OOO! OOO! I know this one! It's from Ren and Stimpy! :thumbsup2

Amy, I got goose bumps and tears of joy when I saw the single digits! :woohoo:

YAY for Cyndi! She's the first poster on page 100!!!!

So we still need some photos posted of all the new people joining us recently!

This may seem like a stupid question, but where's the Promenade lounge? It's not on my maps of the ship!

Happy, happy, joy, joy!!!! Next week at this time I'll be on my way to FLORIDA

Isn't it fun to think about? :cool1: Next week at this time I'll probably be doing all my last minute stalking here, trying to hurry and pass the time away at work knowing vacation is just around the corner.

All the lists I have floating around just aren't cutting it anymore. Now I'm creating a new spreadsheet, organized by day with detailed info. I think I'm just worried I'll forget something important - like shoes, socks, or something. Yes, I'm paranoid I guess. One week countdown and all I can do is wonder if I'm forgetting something. Sheesh. I need to stop it.

I see Amy isn't stalking much today. Amy, are you done on the room yet? Photos would be nice when you're done. :rolleyes1 ;)

:cheer2: :cheer2: Congrats to Cyndi on
getting us to page 100!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Lunch Break/

It is snowing/sleeting here now.

I miss a day or two and it takes me a while to catch up on all the posts.

Koby - My DD has a dance Friday as well as play rehearsal on Saturday. The Musical they are doing is HSM.

Corryn - DW and I get so stressed before vacation. I think I may of posted this before. Our jobs are fairly demanding (like anyone's), but when you factor in all the days you are missing, you try to work extra hard to get ahead, then with packing and getting the kids, dogs ready etc., etc. it gets really stressful. The stress usually ends when we get on the plane. Then it is relaxation time!! Shut of the cell phones AHHH.

9 days until the cruise. Everymorning the first thing I say to my DD is 9 Days. We usually do this countdown for all our vacations.

OHMOM - My DD packs similar to you. She packs her outfits together with jewlry etc and has a label on the package saying which day it is. Her Mom and I are nothing like this.

I know, isn't it spectacular!!!:dance3:

Not a stupid question at all. It's on deck 3, between Lumiere's and Parrot Cay, right next to the Internet Cafe. You won't miss it if you walk along the hallway between Lumiere's and Parrot Cay.

OMG - you guys, I'm starting freak out a bit! My dining room is getting there, but it still has a bit to go. I'll get pictures up when were done. My problem is that Chris isn't very motivated, because of course, he doesn't know he's having a surprise party on Sunday. Anyway, I did make him promise that we'd have it done by Saturday. He thinks it's because I need to pack for vacation, little does he know. But, I do have to pack too.

Plus, I've been working a bit at the girls' school, substituting for after care this week. I should say NO, but I like the extra money!! I'm going to go back to painting in a few minutes.

Amy, I sure hope you get your dining room finished before the party! I wanted to tell you thanks for the link to the luggage scale. After searching the luggage dept in practically every store in town, I showed it to Justin, and he said, "That's just a fishing scale." Off to Wal-Mart I go (again! :sad2:), and I got one in the fishing dept for just under $5! YAY! So if anyone else thinks they'll need one, check the dreaded WM. It only goes up to 50 lbs, but if it's over that, I need to rearrange or do something different anyway.

BTW, does anyone know what the charge is for being over 50 lbs? Is it a flat rate or does it depend on how much over you are? And is it for every flight (we have two flights each way) or just once? This is all new to us since I haven't flown since our honeymoon  and whenever Justin goes somewhere for business, he usually just takes a carryon since he's never gone for more than a day or two. If there's no way to avoid going over 50 lbs, I told him we should just buy another suitcase and actually have something to show for it. I'm probably worrying for nothing, though, but we were a bit surprised when he weighed our small suitcase, and it's 12 lbs empty!

:thumbsup2 That's what I would do - buy another suitcase. I've read before how much they charge, but can't locate the exact figure. I bought a new set last year, so for this trip I have one nested inside another. The limit isn't the issue, it's the shopping I know I'll do, and need a way to get that stuff home. ;)

So, it's just a fishing scale? For real? Hmmmmm. I thought that was a great idea, but figured no where would have them here. But we do have a craaaazy Walmart, they'd probably carry it. Fishing is a huge sport around here. Git-r-done!

We pack my Army Surplus Duffle Bag that I bought a long time ago for fishing trips into another suitcase and then put our dirty laundry in it during our trip. Then when we are ready to return we just close it up and throw a luggage tag on it.

Gives us plenty of room for souvenirs and makes packing for home a little easier. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Kevin! Justin didn't think we needed the portable luggage scale to bring along until I told him he wouldn't be able to buy anything if we're going to be close to the limit before we even got there. He didn't like the sound of that! I think his mom has a bag similar to yours, but is there any way to secure it closed? I'd hate to have my dirties strung out all over the baggage claim conveyor belt! :rotfl2:
