April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Hey, whatever happened to the woman who was surprising her husband with the cruise, I think Dawn was her name. Is she still here?

Jenni
Wasn't there someone with the id surprise07 (or some other number) that was surprising their family too???:confused3

Oh! For some reason I thought you were only surprising your daughter! I thought someone else was surprising their husband. Sorry! Blond moment before coffee. I scanned all these pages last week and I just couldn't remember. I thought it was so neat that you surprised him.

Jenni
No, I thought there was someone else too. I could be wrong though, it's been a long time since I've seen that person post.

You guys have me wondering now. I went waaay back, looking for the info, and I'll just say this - we've talked a LOT since the beginning of this year! I said "hmmm, I'll head to page 30 and look there" Yeah right! I never went all the way back on this thread, but wow, we've chatted a lot lately - I just didn't realize it. :rotfl2:

I just had to comment quickly on our total opposite situation from Corryn and Jenni. Justin and I started dating when I was 16 and he was 19. :rolleyes1 We dated for seven years before getting married (for four of those years, we were inmates... I mean, "roommates"). So even though we are celebrating our 10th anniversary, we've known each other for 18 years (we met the year before we started dating). When I see 16-year-old kids now, it seems weird to think that I was their age when I met my future husband!
Ok, I'll do one more. Chris and I have known each other for 20 years this fall. We met in college when I was a freshman and he was a junior. I met him my 2nd day of school and we dated for a brief period (maybe a month), then he dumped me!!! :scared1: Anyway, he started dating another girl and ended up marrying her after college. He went away to Iraq in Desert Storm and came home 6 months later to find out that his wife wanted a divorce. In the meantime, I was living back in my hometown (in IL, we went to college in FL). Years later, through a mutual college friend, we found out that we were both living in IL only about 20 minutes away from each other. We started dating, dated for a year, he moved back to FL to be near his family and then went to Bosnia with the Army Reserves. He came back to FL, I finished grad school and moved to FL to live with Chris. We lived together for a year and then got married. We just celebrated our 8th anniversary in December, but we've known each other SO much longer.

I do tease him on occasion that he dumped me all those years ago for his ex-wife!!!:confused3

I think there may be someone else, too...surprise07? They're on Molli's list but don't post much. Maybe just lurking? C'mon out and let us know you're still around! ;)
Ok, I'm just getting to this post, and I see that maybe I wasn't losing my mind!!!:lmao:

DH wants to know if anyone is doing the golf excursion on Cozumel? Looking for a partner!

Also - I'll chime in with my 2 cents for what they're worth - DH and I will celebrate 10th anniversary in June. We met online in Jan - in person Feb 15, and married June 14th - then moved in with his mother for 8 weeks (yikes!), then moved from Eastern Ontario, Canada to Kansas - all within 8 months! And 10 blissful years later...:rotfl:

OMG! Your story definitely takes the cake! At first, I was in shock that he dumped you and got married! Then went to Iraq! Then both unknowingly lived in IL! Then went to Bosnia! And through all that, you still ended up together! WOW! It's destiny! (We have a funny story about ours being destiny, too, but I'm running out of time right now...maybe I'll post it later.)

Wow!! What a great story!!!

Oh my gosh Amy! That story is great! It reminds me of one of those couple's stories on "When Harry Met Sally." :)

Ok you guys I think my husband and I will be celebrating the longest anniversary on this cruise. We are going to be married for 25 years this summer so this cruise is to celebrate our silver anniversary(now I feel old). We met when he and were both 17(we actually were born on the same day and year) dated for 5 years(he did dump me for a little while during that time, but came back, so it was meant to be) no fast courtships here. I remember when I told my father that Bryan asked me to marry him (after dating for 3 1/2 yrs) and his reaction was "Isn't that a little of premature" I hate to of seen his reaction :scared1: if we got engaged after dating a few months..

Cheryl

PS- hey I made progress today with my packing so I'm not feeling so crazy about it, at least right now I'm not...

Wendy

Don't feel bad, I went to the tanning spa last night and somehow burnt my belly........too funny!

I guess it wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't and inch of snow on the ground!!! Damn, I knew I shaved my legs too early:rotfl2:

As for confessing our love stories, my DH & I have been together since High School... We started living together when I was a Senior (age 17)! We lived in sin for 8 years. We will be celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary on May 16th... and in August we will celebrate 23 WONDERFUL years together....

 That is awesome! Lots of anniversaries for the cruise!

I just checked and Idol is one hour tonight. Sheesh, can they drag it out any longer? Get on with it already. :rotfl2: I've already read the spoilers online, and want to see if it's really true or not.

We knew each other for 5 years before we got married. We met through some mutual friends. At the time we were both in our 4th year of college and went to school 425 miles apart. I put a lot of miles on my car over the next 4 months.

Proposed to DW at a park we had visited every day for lunch after dating for 3 years. Technically, we lived together for almost 3 years before we got married, but I was in the in-laws basement and she was in her bedroom.

We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary on the cruise, but it's not actually until May.

Even more ironic, is the fact that one summer, I was at the Taste of Chicago with THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of people all around. I think that I recognize this guy (Chris) about 50 yds away. My mom says, "go say HI", but I figured that it just couldn't be Chris, because Chris lives in Florida. Well, years later, after Chris and I met back up, I found out that he spent a year living downtown and used to go to the Taste of Chicago almost every day. It probably WAS him, I just didn't act on it!!

Thak Goddness CTC I am not the only one feeling OLD :scared1: with these stories of matried 15 years and under. We will be celebrating 24 years in August, but I don't feel like I am old, but still don't like to say or think about my age. I feel younger because of having a 13 years old, or is that you feel older when youhave a teenage....:rolleyes1

We are doing teh single digits happy dance here and this weekend we can say "THIS WEEKEND" we are going on VACATION

Any lurkers out there going to do the Horseback riding in Cozumel?

Does the Martini/Wine tastings have a cut off on the number of people that can attend, or do you think they will accomodate all those that sign up?

Please pray that NH and the north east and any where else that does not want the dreadful stuff - SNOW - does not come tomorrow or next week. Suppose to get snow all day tomorrow, subject to change at the weatherman's calling ( and all the fancy gadgets). DOn't want anymore.:scared1:

Have a goodnight everyone

We finally decided what excursions we are doing on the different Islands.
On Grand Caymen we are doing the Aquaboat & Snorkel Adventure.

Cozumel has DW and DD doing Mayan Frontier Horseback Riding Tour,
while me, my DS, and our traveling companions are doing the Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel & Beach Party.

I am getting ready to break down and do my packing soon.

the snow is due to hit here, just flurries and such but on Saturday and this is my 1/2 marathon event day. i am so bummed.. i will not walk in horrible weather this close to vacation time. i will not i will not.......this is more for my benefit than yours

Preston and I will be married 12 years in Oct, so too early in the year to celebrate for us  we were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend; I had included pictures of Taylor and I in my christmas card, she hung it on her frig.
