April 21, 2007 -- Western Magic -- anyone?

Good morning, all! I forgot we have to go see Mr. Tax Man :scared: this morning, so I won't be back until around lunch. :sad2:

Good morning everyone!

I didn't get to chat a lot yesterday....:sad1: Reports had to be ran, problems had to be solved, and the stupid phone kept ringing. Fun times, I tell ya. :rotfl:

It is pouring rain today. Cold rain too! Such a shock compared to earlier this week. Oh well. Atleast I'm inside for most of the day, until lunchtime when I need to spend some extra care bucks at CVS. :yay:

Amy, I like the new photos in your sig! The saying is hilarious....and true. I know if DD ever gets out of my sight and is really really quiet, she's up to something. I'll call her name, she ignores me, and I go searching for her. Usually she'll say "Sorry Mama" as soon as I walk in the door, if she's doing something she shouldn't. :lmao:

Have a good day everyone - I'll try to be back a bit later on today.

Actually, Madison's shirt actually says that. My mom has an embroidery machine and she saw that saying and just had to do it for her, because she's my little trouble maker!!!:lmao:

HEY! NEW PICTURES! I LIKE! They're so cute! :thumbsup2 I think more people need pictures in their sig so I know who I'm "talking" to! So is anyone else besides us going to be at the terminal as soon as they open? ;)

Yeah, we're gty. We didn't have the slightest idea what to pick since we were so uninformed when we booked. Our initial thought was that we would hopefully upgrade to a verandah, but I would love it if we just stayed a porthole. When we initially talked to the TA, she told us that only the deck 5 cat 8's were gty (not the cat 8's on decks 6 or 7), so we thought that would be great with OC right there, but two days later when she actually booked it for us, I think she said that all cat 8's were gty. How can you tell if a room is booked or not? I keep checking our reservation online to see if it has a room # listed yet, but so far, it still just says gty.

Val,

We're in a CAT 6 GTY, haven't received our room assignment either. The suspense is killing me. popcorn::

Hey everyone - what's everyone's plans at Key West? We're thinking of doing the Butterfly Conservatory and the Aquarium. Anyone else?

I think we may just do the Aquarium only. (I have a thing with bugs, so no butterflies for me!) I've heard it doesn't take long to go through, so by then, the attention spans are probably gone.

Justin is so sweet! He knew I got a ton of work again today, so he's picking up the boys from preschool AND bringing home lunch! :thumbsup2 I'm probably not going to be around much again today. Maybe here and there. You know, I just can't stay away!

We don't have anything planned for Key West. Just walk around and take in the sights.

Right now it is snowing here. We are expected to have between 6-12" by tomorrow. YUCK!!!

I'm still at work, hope patients cancel so we can get out a little early.

Cyndi

For Key West, I want to do a photo op at the southernmost point. Because I like touristy stuff like that. :lmao: Then we'll probably head to see the butterflies - I think DD would really enjoy it. After that, just browse around, and maybe get some of the Key Lime Pie on a stick. :thumbsup2

Wait a second - I thought you already memorized the photos? :confused3 :lmao: The only problem with sig photos is they are so tiny, you still can't see very well. I understand the rules & everything, but it is bothersome when you really want to see better.

We are planning to arrive at 10:30am at the terminal. We made car reservations this week. We're renting from the airport to the hotel, since we'll travel around Orlando for a while before check in. But to make it all easier, I went ahead & got a town car pickup from the hotel to port, and port to airport. I kept telling DH we could just drive, but he was like this :scared1: Which I can't figure, since he is a great driver - but lots of traffic & not knowing where he's going even if we have the GPS, well just the thought made it stressful. So, being the good wife I am ;) I figured I'd make it easy on us all so we can begin our cruise day relaxed.

The person I booked with said "Oh no, you'll want to wait until 11 or so to leave the hotel, and get to the port around noon." Ummmm, I don't think so! I explained we were meeting other people there that day, and they expected us at 10:30. So, it better work out OK. If not, they'll get phone calls from me at the hotel beginning at 9:35am. I have DISers to meet & a boat to board, let's get going already buddy.

So, how many people from this thread have Palo booked? Brunch? Dinner? Both?

We have dinner as of now. Brunch was already gone when I made the dinner reservation online at 3am one morning. So, I took what I could get.

We have Palo dinner booked for Monday. I have no idea what time we will be at the port. Hopefully sometime before 3:30 (DCL bus broke down on us last time).

We have dinner and brunch booked for Palo. Palo is one of DHs favorites, so we had to do both!!

Hopefully when we get there we can either book Palo's for brunch or be put on a wait list.

I do have photos memorized--those that have posted anyway! But not everyone has posted them...C'mon slackers--we want to see you! ;)

I just reserved our town car this week. Who are you going with? (We did Tiffany.) What hotel are you being picked up from? I thought it was strange when I did the online reservation, for after the cruise, it asked what time our flight left and it apparently scheduled a pickup time based on that. Our flight leaves at 1:15 PM, so the confirmation says they will pick up at 10:45 AM. I don't think so. Not that I'll be in a rush to get off the boat or anything, but I know we can't stay on that long. I'll have to call and reschedule for 8 or 8:30. I think that sounds like a good time, but I'm not sure.

"I have DISers to meet & a boat to board, let's get going already buddy." :rotfl2: I would be the same way!

We have Palo booked for Wed at 7:30 PM. I want to change it to Thurs, though, since that's our anniversary. That's why I want to get to the port ASAP and try for #2 boarding! :woohoo: (And to meet all of you DISers!)

Lucky you! How did you get both? I thought it was only one per stateroom. :confused3
It's actually one per stateroom per meal. So, you can have one brunch, one dinner, one high tea. We're not much for high tea, but we love brunch and dinner!!!
