Hi Everyone, We are booked on this cruise too...surpising DH for his 40th. Does anybody know what time we can log on on the 5th to book Palo and Spa reservations? Also, is there a way to find out how booked the cruise is?

Hi everyone!

We would be up for the sail away meet, wine tasting and linking dining ressies.

OhMom, I PM'd the info you wanted to get started on the list. Let me know if you need anything else.

Cyndi

DH wants to know if any other DHs went and did the tour of the ship and how they enjoyed it....

Hello Everyone,

We're paid in full and what a great feeling that is. Cruising on the 21st will be me, DH, DS age 14 and DS age 9. I'm driving the family crazy with all my planning and growing excitment as the sail date is fast approaching.

LuAnne

:welcome: Luanne! you have found the group for you if obsessive DCL trip planning is in your future for the next 80 odd days! I have a DD age 10 who LOVES the lab. is this your first Disney cruise?

ok -- one more add on to our list -- which dining you have main or late. I have PMs from dvc2themax and Cyndibear, if you can just update me on that then everyone else please PM the following info for our group:

This is the kids first cruise which is why we decided to try the Disney Magic. The dining time was a difficult decision to make but in the end we choose the main seating.

OMG - horrors :scared1: , we were on page #3!!!

How's everyone doing??? Did anyone book in the frenzy yesterday??? We booked, but not for one of the repos or the Mexico cruises. We booked on the Christmas '08 cruise for our 10th anniversary.

Hi again everyone....
I'm so excited because :cheer2: my Cruise Is Paid In Full:cheer2:
However, I can't book any excursions yet because my TA DIDN"T PAY DCL UNTIL I WENT IN TO MAKE THE FINAL PAYMENT TODAY!! I gave her $3600 and she didn't send a check out yet - she was "holding onto the funds" until final payment was made. I have a whole thread on that...
Anyway, now I have to Wait until the end of next week to book my excursions and MAN AM I MAD!!!!!
As a Castaway Club Member, I cannot take advantage of booking before the general public....I have to wait until A Few Days AFTER the G.P. is allowed to book....
I will be calling her - but I have to calm down first - to give her a piece of my mind...

Is anyone booking XCaret?

oh Corryn!! i feel your pain!!!

i have gotten everyone's PMs and plan on starting the list this weekend. thought i'd wait and gather a few families so i'm not just sending out updated one every day! please PM me your info if you'd like to be included on the group list

no more cruises for us in the future i think -- christmas '08 sounds devine! we have a few other trips in mind before DD graduates and unfortunately it's just getting too expensive for us. so that's why i plan to savor every moment on board!

I totally forgot about sending you the info:rotfl: I'm not thinking straight!
I agree with the Cashola situation....This will be our last Big vacation until I graduate! It is getting expensive over here, too....I'm going to have to leave my job to start school full time (hopefully) next year, so I want to pay stuff off before then while the cash is still rollin'!!!

I see from the Key West thread there's another cruiser (Bug?) I don't think I saw her name here....Her kids are the same age as my kids, too...

Also, this goes out to everyone here:
My DD's were on the teen board. Over the past few weeks things have gotten so bad, very nasty. I didn't realize it at first, and my DD's are thanking God that I didn't know about it or I would have torn through there kicking a*&!!!! The "bigger" kids were picking apart everything that my kids and their friends were saying, belittling them, just making it miserable online for them. I also know that on the thread that the kids were talking about the cruise, there were two other DIS daughters whose mom is on this thread and they were harrassed too... It seemed to me that jealously was the reason for the trouble - the girls were talking about going on a cruise together and some other teens just didn't like it....:snooty:

I just want to let everyone know that the situation over on the teenboard has been handled. My daughters are back to posting and so far, no trouble.
My girls would love to talk about the cruise with the other kids.
So my daughter, RoxyTori or MissSk8Alot or Kyralyn will be checking their thread daily and chat with all our fellow teen cruisers.
(Kyra has two names, she forgot her password to one for a while there so she made a new name)

:cool1:  :cool1:

I made the final payment on our cruise yesterday! :dance3:

I don't think the reality has hit me yet though. In my mind it seems I still have months & months to wait. Then I look at the ticker and am reminded it's not far away at all.

I PM'd our info - I'd love to meet a few Disers on board. I've really, really got to focus on excursions & stuff we'd like to do. DH & I talked about it a few weeks ago, but nothing set in stone just yet. He said he wants to parasail, that's about it for now. Since it is our first cruise, I'd like to atleast get off the ship & roam around the ports at each stop, even if just for an hour or two. I'm trying to plan on DD going with us off the ship. She might want to just stay in the clubs all the time though, but right now, who knows. :confused3 She attends full time daycare while we both work, so large groups of loud kids are nothing new to her. So I'm just guessing though, she'll be with us, and will plan accordingly.

No airfare booked for us yet. I just can not believe how expensive it is, and has been since a year ago when I first started looking. I'm giving it one more month, and if nothing has decreased, I guess I'll just bite the bullet & book something - then call to refinance the house to pay for it. :rotfl:

I just started posting...first time here! I see we're not the only one celebrating ten years of wedded bliss  (04-26-97) during the cruise--curlybop too! Anyone else? We're hoping to reserve Palo the night of our anniversary, but since I'm a first timer, I have to wait until Monday, so who knows by then what will even be left.

Welcome to the group!!! As the cruise gets closer, our group is growing!!!

No anniversary for this cruise, but we will be celebrating 2 birthdays. My DH will be turning 40 on 4/22 and my youngest DD will be turning 3 on 4/28. :woohoo:

Has anyone tried to book excursions yet, and if so, What?

How about PALO reservations?

We booked Palo dinner for Wednesday at 6pm, and Palo brunch for Monday at 10:30am. No excursions booked through Disney, but we are planning on booking Capt Marvin's stingray city excursion on our own. And, in Key West, we're just doing the butterfly conservatory and the aquarium on our own.

We have PALO booked for Monday night at 7:30.
Haven't booked any excursions yet- so expensive!! Key West you can do on your own pretty easily and we too are interested in the aquarium & butterfly farm. I think we'll just beach it in Grand Cayman and don't have plans for Cozumel.
I was able to book parasailing at CC, I think for 1:30. That sounded like fun. DS does NOT want to do it, he is not very adventurous.

Remember, if you can't book PALO online you can always try once you get on the ship that first day. Hopefully you can get in that way with no problems at all. I'm sure they'd be more than happy to accomodate your anniversary

Hey everyone!!!! I'm ohmom's DD, and I started a kids chat :surfweb: for
our cruise, and no one is talking to me, so if you have kids,(preferably going to the lab,and a girl) PLEASE tell them to try the chat.

I'll be VERY happy!!!!!!!:cool2: :cool2:

Hello Everybody, This is my first post, so we will see how it goes.

First, my family (DW, DD-13, DS-7 and me) are all so excited for this cruise. We tried the 3 day cruise to see if we would like it. It was so great:yay: that we signed up for the 7 day Western Cruise. My kids have April vacation, and my DD-13 is looking forward to doing teen things and meeting kids. (She is a little on the shy side though)

As for activities, DD and DW are Parasailing at CC, My wife has spa ressies already, Palo res for the 24th and the ECO-Snorkel tour at Cozumel.(We wondered if the Xcaret?sp was too much for my DS who turns 7 just before the cruise)

Does anyone have any recomendations for Grand Cayman?

I am driving everybody nuts here (not my family everbody else who is not going) with my constant talking about the trip.

We have only booked one excursion. The Tulum Ruins in Coaumel. We own a house 22 miles from Key West. We have been to all the special places noted in Key West. If you like to swim and see beautiful fish. I woul highly recommend the dive or snorkeling exopedition in Cozumel.
I spent a week diving there a 2 years ago.
