Where can I see some door signs to get some ideas?
I am good at organization, but when it comes to imagination and creativity..... Is there a special website to go and make the signs in order to increase the clipart so they are bigger than a 1" by 1"? I tried to expand them using Powerpoint, but they just get fuzzy.

Anyone else doing late dinner?

How about anyone planning to do the horseback excursion in Cozumel?

and for clipart, i just search and found some i liked. I use my Adobe photoshop program to make my signs, but i would think you could in word too. here's a couple sites to try, or just google like "Nemo" and go under the image section

Hi everyone - I'm back from my mom's weekend at WDW. What a blast and the weather here in Florida is spectacular. Usually, we expect temps in the 60s/70s during January, but we enjoyed upper 70s/80s this weekend. My northern friends LOVED it!!!

I had DH get up on the 21st and make our Palo ressies for brunch and dinner. Anyone else going to be at Palo Monday (4/23) at 10:30am for brunch or Wednesday (4/25) at 6:00pm for dinner???

I also made a ressie for the spa for a hot stone massage. I'm not much of a spa person, but I could REALLY use a massage for my upper back, neck, shoulders, so I figured it couldn't get much better than getting it done on the Magic.

As for excursions, we're just trying to figure out Cozumel, since we've made our decisions about GC and KW. Any suggestions about what to do with an almost 3yo and a 5yo??? We might just go to the beach for a little bit.

Yes, that's my understanding. So, if you really want brunch, make sure to get to the port somewhat early and go straight to the clubs where they are making brunch ressies.

I tried booking Palo brunch on Monday and there was only one time slot left which overlapped with one of our excursions. So it's just Dinner for us.

There were lots of choices for Palo dinner left as of Monday.

We booked directly through DCL while onboard a while back and we got an excursion booklet quite a while ago. I just took a look at it and it says that it was printed on Nov 22nd.

I'm using this on a door sign, then putting LGMH's with me and my girls' names in them to go around the DIS Member pic:

I'm also giving this a try:
We have OpenOffice (the same thing as Microsoft Office, only it's free!) and my daughter is teaching me how to use power point, only it's the open office version called Impress. I'm going to make my door signs in that application.

I would just like the info for reserving the tuxes and stuff, but I am sure all of the DISers will help me out. If you are really concerned, I would call either disney or costco. Marci

We re-booked through DCL and received the "ship and shore vacation guides" not that long ago. I had to look up the prices for excursions on the web-site, the booklet only had a brief description.

Thank you for the adorable door signs. I'm just starting to work on ours, I don't think I'll get that into it, whatever I make is staying up the whole week.
I dont' think I'll make different ones for different days- we'll see how crafty I get!

I was on the the Wonder 11-day trip in September. We had a very active group during that cruise. It was much fun.

The last time I got involved in a DIS board meet, no one showed up! Well, not really no one, but there were maybe 60 DIS'ers going to the MNSSHP on a certain night and only 6 of us showed up That was a little bit of a let down since I'm always talking with everyone, you know? I just thought it would be nice to meet the people I'm always chatting with....

But I would love to meet you all and hang out...when's the wine tasting, do you know? Is it going to interfere with my BINGO

I had a friend that was on the 11-day and had a great time. Did you ever meet #1Mouse & CapnHook (Gail & John)? I just went to WDW with Gail this past weekend and she was talking about all of the things that happened on the 11-day (scrapbook class, wine tastings, secret mickeys, DISmeets, etc).

I think that as things get closer, we can definitely start to plan some fun stuff. I know that on my past few cruises, we've had good turn out for a 3pm DIS meet on Deck 10. That way everyone can still get to the deck party.

As for the secret mickey, isn't it like a secret santa or secret sister? Then you leave little goodies at your secret Mickeys door?

i will tell you that i'm not true-blue for dismeets. i look forward to them, but don't plan our families activities/excursions or whatnot around them. here are some suggestions of times that seemed to work out well for my last cruise:

Deck 10 for sailaway party -- we all had matching shirts and found each; I'm planning on wearing a lime green t-shirt for embarktion day -- we hung out just to the sides above the dancing and such on Deck 9 (hope i have my deck numbers right) and had blowers, streamers, bubbles etc to sail off

Palo brunch -- we had the back room as there was a large group of us -- lots of fun

Dinner -- we linked our dining together -- this helped alot b/c we could leave and be like "meet you at Pub night later" etc

CC -- general area on the family beach we all hung out, it was good location. i look on the map if anyone is interested. it was past the eating area, about at a restroom hut


I'll be happy to make a listing of potential meeting times once we are ready. I have done the wine tasting, DH said he'd be interested this time though I was thinking of martini tasting myself.

If anyone wants to link-up for Palo brunch let me know too; right now we are booked Sunday at 10:30.

a secret Mickey sounds FUN, if it's a secret santa type thing! i'm in ---- if we get two people to co-host then we can split the list and it will be a surprise for everyone involved. i'd be happy to co-host
