Polynesian isnāt and I canāt get beach/yacht for my time either. My stay at GF in April not showing anything available for the Discount? Anyone else have success with GF or any other monorail resorts?
I got a pin code sent to my older email address, but little was available for our late April dates. No Monorail resorts at all from what I remember. I was tempted by CSR Club Level, but not enough to make a switch. Our Poly stay is already paid off, so Iām sticking with it!My stay at GF in April not showing anything available for the Discount? GDT seems so great! We had a reservation there in March 2020 before, well, you know ⦠but itās next on my list.Just switched from WL to GDT April 27-May 2. I hated to move from WL, but we saved $1,000 so it had to be done. This will be our first time at GDT so hopefully we will enjoy it.

Iāve never stayed at AKL, it looks amazing.. Iāve always wanted to, but Iām just a MK girl at heart. I actually picked GDT when I decided to change resorts because I saw where you can watch the MK fireworks from the water view rooms. I do watch them in person on my MK days (and yes, I cry like a big baby every single timeI just moved from AKL to GDT, my dates are similar to yours, 4/25 - 5/3, saved over $500 with the AP discount.
That being said, I'm already thinking there's a good chance I may switch back to AKL before I go, AKL is my go to resort, I just love the resort. On the flip side, I've never stayed at GDT, so who knows, maybe I'll stay there, LOL!
I would guess the cheer groups would mostly use the food court. There are a few sit down restaurants there! GDT is a lovely resort.Last night I saw that there will be cheer competitions going on during our entire visit and they will be staying at Coronado Springs, so now Iām wondering if I need to change resorts again. My hubby says no, itāll be fine because we donāt really spend a lot of time at the resort. But if they are going to be taking over the pool area or the dining options if we wanted to eat there, it may not be worth staying there for us. We are going for our 20th anniversary so Iām not sure what to do now. I guess Iāll be deciding what to do over the next few weeks.
Thank you !! Yes, we actually normally stay at the Wilderness Lodge in the fireworks view rooms. They are my favorite. We only booked at GDT this time because my hubby thought it would better to switch from WL to GDT because it was saving us $1000. As for me, Iād rather spend the $1,000 and stay at WL. However, I did just come back from my 40th birthday girls trip 6 months ago that cost me quite a bit so I let him talk me into it. (On a side noteā¦That birthday trip was amazing, we originally booked at the CR TPV room, but then got the best pixie dust upgrade to GF Main Building TPV room on the CL floor. It was a dream come true to stay there and the best birthday surprise ever!) I donāt normally get two Disney trips in a yearās time so Iām trying to be more budget friendly for my hubby. I admit itās a struggle for me though. Iām sure GDT will be just fine and wonderful once we are there. It really does look lovely.Congrats on your anniversary, disneylover81! I donāt think you can go wrong with GDT (from what Iāve read, the resortās food court is the only weakness), but have you also considered the fireworks view rooms at Wilderness Lodge?
You are probably right and itāll be fine. Iāve just never stayed in a resort with them so I just wasnāt sure what it will be like with so many teenagers running around there.I would guess the cheer groups would mostly use the food court.
