April 2018 or early December 2018?

So my immediate and extended family are planning a week long vacation to St Pete Beach over Massachusetts' April vacation which is the third week of April. It does no coincide with Easter at all. We had planned on doing a Disney trip for around 3 days and then joining them in St Pete beach for the remainder of their vacation. Well Jet Blue just released their flights through April 2018 and the roundtrips out of Boston are so expensive (Boston to Orlando and Boston to Tampa). Even if we leave on a weekday it is still MUCH more than I've ever paid. (We usually go to Disney right after Thanksgiving/first few days of December). So I am thinking of cancelling our trip in April and instead pushing it out until December '18. Any thoughts? I love Christmas in Disney, but I was excited to see Disney in the spring. Of course I did also read that spring can be busy too. I'm not sure what to do!

April vacation rates with Jetblue are crazy. we are going towards the end of that week April 19th to the 28th. And it's still pricey but not as pricey as if we went from April 15th to the 23rd....Christmas time may not be much better regarding pricing. good luck.

We fly out of Boston too and when looking earlier this year at April vacation rates to get an idea for 2018 I almost fell out of my chair! We are now planning on midway through the following week. We did earlyish December this year and it was awesome! Weather was nice and vrowds were good. Had especially good luck with 4th and 5th fastpasses on MK party nights. I want to say we arrived on December 13, 2016 and left that following Saturday. I definitely would not want to be there any time after that Saturday personally. I was like the floodgates opened with people arriving.

We did April/May 2015 and it was nice too but if I had my pick I would return in December.

Yeah I'm definitely leaning on just pushing out the trip to December 2018. Even if we worked extra and saved the money for flights I just can't justify it. We could use that extra money for upgrades to a December trip! I also loved early December. Even though people say there is no off season nowadays we found it extremely manageable as far as crowds.

We've been early April and early December and all I can say is tomato to-mah-to. Both were great, weather was great, crowds were kinda similar, we swam and wore shorts everyday. The only difference was the decorations and the Christmas party. Hey! There ya go! Nix April, go in December and use the savings on tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
