I will count all OTC purchases, but not the regularly budgeted and paid for bills like Church, heating, water, taxes etc.
I will not count DH's spending on his snacks, since he does that every day, and there is no way for me to keep track, anyway.
This month I have a couple of birthday gifts, and of course Easter candy. (not sure if I'm doing baskets or not....maybe just cash for each of 5 kids ) My biggest goal is that I NOT spend as much as I did last month....that should be attainable, since last month was atrocious! Here's hoping for 12 no buy days.

My new May Budget officially starts today. I did go out and grocery shop this morning. It was a big week as I needed a ton of meat plus a few household items. May is also the month that I add cat food and cat litter into the budget. I got the cat litter today but am waiting until later in the month for cat food as I get that at Target.

I skipped getting gas today because we have a coupon through or groceries pharmacy that if we have a new prescription we get $1 off per gallon of gas. So we dropped off one of my mom's new ones today and can pick it up tomorrow. So when they add that $1 to what we already have on our card we will get $1.50 off per gallon. We do not have any big trips planned, just regular errands so a tank of gas should last us awhile.

I do have a few extra expenses this month that I will not be counting here. My Aunt's birthday is wednesday and then Mother's day. Also we have family coming in from the DC area over Memorial Day.
