April 2004 Visit - Best Time?

Thinking of heading down again last two weeks of April, 2004. Anyone know what the crowds levels are like at this time (knowing that Easter is April 9-12th) and what the weather is like?

Any information appreciated.

We were there two years ago at that time and it was VERY busy. That said the parks (MK) opened early, 8:00am, and stayed open until midnight. The weather was beautiful and warm. We were at the gates at opening and did the "must do" rides and then looked around as it got busier. We napped in the afternoon and then went back in the evening for parades, fireworks etc.
We went in Feb. last year and didn't like it as much. No crowds ...but the parks closed bt 7:00pm and the weather was cool. As long as you are early risers and "go with the flow" with the crowds, you will be fine!

We were also there at that time frame for the last 5 years. We love it. Weather is excellent. Very warm but not to hot. Hardly any rain if at all. For us we have never encountered a crowd problem. Make good use of fast pass and I think w you will have a great time.

It all depends Easter. You want to avoid the two weeks that flag the holiday. Otherwise you should be fine.

Since Easter is April 11. The last two weeks of April should be pretty good for crowds.

Can't advise on the crowds 'cause we usually go for Easter Weekend, ok so I add a few Mental Health days and we stay 5 days!LOL

The weather is usually "perfect"! Great to warm up after a long winter! And the shopping is great too!

We have gone to WDW at Easter in '98 and found the weather was perfect too. High 70'2 to low 80's and no humidity. The crowds were much more manageable at Easter compared to last August when we were there.

We went April 2001, three weeks after Easter (Easter was in March that year) ~ the weather is beautiful! The crowds were mid to heavy at times. We went April 2002, about two weeks after Easter. Again the weather was perfect ~ a little more crowded than 2001. S

Here are the average temps in Orlando in April courtesy of www.weather.com...it certainly sound like that is the perfect time to go

Avg Daily High in April: 83
Avg Nitely Low in April: 60
Mean 24-hour temp: 72

These are averages, it you expect up to 5-10 degree swings for normal variation you've got a good understanding of what the weather will be like.

Example, January averages a 71 degree high in Orlando, but today (1/10/04), the forecaset high is unusually chilly (58 degrees), and Orlando won't see the low 70s again until one full week from today! (1/17/04). Gotta love www.weather.com!!!!

However, all this sounds pretty good when you consider I'm waking up to 1 degree weather in North Jersey (the coldest in years!)...I am afraid to look at the what our friends in Ottawa (& the rest of Ontario) are facing today!
