We are waiting for our resale to close....probably another 4 weeks but would like to go to BWV in April 2002 midweek 23-25th in a standard 2 bed.

I gather it is high season and thus is unlikely to be available this close to the dates. Unfortunately I have been told that when DVC is sold resale all reservations are voided when the contract exchanges. Therefore I can't get the previous owner to hold any dates.

Am I even going to get in a shout at this BWV request during high season or should I plan going later in September?

We really do want to go to BWV for our first on-site stay

Thanks

I don't think you'll have a huge problem. In the US, the weeks surrounding Easter are high season, which will be March 23- April 7, 2002. Of course BW is always popular, and standard view may be more difficult to reserve, but I think you have a chance or can try the wait list.

From what I gather on this board, the high season for the Disney resorts and the high season for DVC are not always the same. For instance, I understand that between the end of November up to the week before Christmas is a high demand time for DVC, but actually one of the lowest demand times for the resorts.

So you might as well "get in a shout" for April.....we often hear of people who have lucked in to reservations they didn't think they would be able to get. Could be cancellations or just luck. No harm in trying!

Good luck!

Actually you have a problem that has little to do with time of year. The desire for lower point cost standard view is less likely to be met as only 20% of the rooms are standard and those tend to fill much quicker than others.
