Hi! We're considering a trip to the Disney Bubble the first week of April as that is when our spring break is in Minnesota. We've never been down in early April and was wondering if I should expect crazy crowds? With Easter being a couple weeks later this year I'm hoping it won't be too bad, but also realize there are probably many other spring breaks that week.

Also, the last couple of trips we've stayed at YC but are considering trying Boardwalk this time. Any thoughts on the Boardwalk would also be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Public schools all around us have spring break when it works for their testing/start dates and nothing to do with Easter.
We are 7-8 hours away and WDW is very popular destination.

A few of our County Systems:
100,000 students = April 2-8
180,000 students = April 2-8
112,000 students = April 2-8
102,000 students = April 2-8
And there are lots more ...

That is a very popular and busy week for Disney.
I have found it to be the most busy of any time we have gone in April.
Have a plan and be ready to be somewhat flexible.
We have found Hopping was important that week.

Yikes. Thanks for the info Hopper! We'll plan our expectations accordingly and I always get the park hopper option for flexibility. We're quite familiar with the crazy crowds in the summer and it sounds like this won't be much different. Guess I was just hoping it wouldn't be quite as bad, but hey, we'll be at Disney so we'll manage!

Good luck with your trip! The week either before or after Easter is probably the busiest time of the year at the parks. I went this past April the first week of April for only a few days (also attended a wedding in Ocala). While it was crowded, it was not awful. Hope you have the same experience.

Yikes, we're going april 1-9! I, for some reason, didn't expect it to be spring break time! This now makes me nervous!

We are also going that week for spring break and staying at Boardwalk for the first time. I'm sure it will be busy, but manageable, and I agree that it should help that Easter is later in the month. Hitting parks at rope drop, having the parkhopper, making good use of fastpass, and being flexible are good strategies to use during busy times.

My DD's spring break is the week before that so that is when we are going. I am hopeful with Easter so late that spring break crowds will be a little more dispersed. I know for us it is one of the very few years when our spring break is not tied to Easter so I want to take advantage! I am very much prepared for crowds but just hoping it won't be crushing Christmas/New Years crowds.

We are going March 31 - April 5 (transferring to Universal for April 5-8). I too am hoping the crowds will be spread out with Easter falling later in the month. We have been in summer crowds - June, and we decided to prepare for that type of crowd for our spring break week, just in case. Even if it is crowded, I'm hoping at least it shouldn't be as humid and the weather should be super nice! Plus, Flower and Garden Fest!
