April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

You can take towels with you from the ship they usually have a bin on the way back on the ship to drop them in. At Castaway Cay :beach: they hand you towels as you leave the ship. if you booked your excursions through Disney they give you towels when you check in to your designated excursion.
hope that helps :goodvibes

Denise

Thanks, Denise!

Look on the google worksheet Joan has worked up... I know the walking times are on that. Not sure about the other. I saw it somewhere not too long ago.

I have a question... I was reading about booking your next DCL trip while on the cruise... I think you can book as many rooms as there are people in your party... if you do that how can you list name of people you will be traveling with? For instance, if I book 2 cabins (one for my name and one for my daughter) how can put travelers names at this point?
Thanks for any information.

OK, just checked with DH, we are on a 5:15pm flight 4/18, so not getting in at midnight.
Karen, I thought about the beach you are talking about but the boys saw the beach climbing thing on the Disney Cruise Video and I think they would love to have "toys". That would make my day more relaxing too. Last time we went to Mr. Sanchos and that was great, but I'd like to try something new and I don't hear anything about Mr. Sanchos so maybe it's gone? I've been to Chaancanob (sp) with my girlfriends a few years ago, so that's been done too. Thanks for the info, that's on the short list if it looks like Paradise Beach is going to be crazy. Still checking. Wyndam info?
Oh, and for the Jersey people, I live in Clifton.:flower3:

Hi Karen

We're neighbors - we live in Nutley! How funny is that??? We are doing the Wyndham all inclusive in Cozumel. We booked thru Island Marketing. It includes all food, drinks (alcoholic and non). A friend suggested this - she did it with her family and loved it.
RE: flights - can't believe how expensive - we are winging it - if we can't find a cheap flight we'll be driving.

Don't remember if I saw it anywhere - do you have kids/how old? I have a DD (12 will be 13 in may); DS (11 and 7).

Okay can anyone help me out. If on the cruise and want to book another cruise, how does the deposit work - is it $250pp at the time of booking?

Hi! I don't think you can change names on a reservation, but I believe you can add a person to your reservation as long as your category can accomodate it. I do know this..it is 250 per person required before you leave the boat and I do know that if for instance, if you want to book a cabin for friends orfamily you can do that even if they are not present. Like your mom and dad want to go next year and you don't, you can still book a cabin in their name without you booking or you can book for yourself, you family, your friend as long as you have the 250 per person.

And in case anyone is wondering why you would do this...cause it certainly is hard to part with the additional 250pp up front while still paying for your current trip with onboard expenses, people do this for the benefit of 10% off cruise portion and a onboard credit...and what is even better is that you can keep pushing the date out. We got the 10% and a 200 dollar credit waiting for us when we get there! SWEET DEAL! Hope that helped!

Colleen: No worries about the get well wishes! The important thing is that she is better! Totally understand about life being so full. I add to my to-do list far more often than I ever cross off!

Welcome bdwk1997! We are a fun group! Glad you can join us!

Lilo: Yikes about the Mexico thing. I am off to google that right now!

Nite all, Michelle

Gail,
Hey neighbor! My boys are 10 and 6! (both have summer birthdays). Do you know if Wyndam has water toys? Is there a website? I'm not sure what to do..

Someone told me one way to do this is to book for one person while you're onboard. That way you get the 10% off and the onboard credit. Then you can keep pushing it out, like you said, and you can also add other people at a later date. So I've heard... anyone heard anything to the contrary? It's still another $250 which is hard to part with. But it mgiht be feasible and sure beats parting with another $1K which is what it would be if I booked all four of us.

Yes, about the pushing back the date, but I believe if you add people to the reservation at a later date, they do not get the 10% off..only the actual reservation made on board. I could be wrong! I think that is a good question to on the main board....so here I go! I will let you know! Michelle

I am just about to do the transfers... I am just checking on one thing...
Do you want the date on the pocket like it is shown, or cut the date.

I know when my friend went (last year) they had the water trampoline and the slide in the water (you can also use the pools. As for a website, I viewed some pics on webshots. If you google Grand Cayman excursions - you'll get a website where you an choose Cozumel excursions - that's where it is- it doesn't list it as the Wydham until you request info on the excursion. I think it is under all day inclusive resort pass. If you can't find it let me know.

Hope I am reading your question right -I have rebooked onboard for others several times. They were going with us on the same cruise so there was no problem. I just brought all their names and dates of birth with a letter authorizing Disney Cruise Line to charge their credit card the deposit. The rooms were booked under there names. I have four people in my stateroom so I could have booked up to four cabins. They got the 10% off and the 200.00 onboard credit too. Always check your quotes! Mine was a totally different price when she handed me the confirmation on my last cruise. But that is a long story for another day.........

If you are only interested in putting down the deposit for one person on the reservation - you could run into two problems down the road. The price will go up and they will get 10% off Disney current rate and the second problem is they might also run out of space. Even if the stateroom holds may hold four people - Disney limits the number of people on the ship. This has happened a lot with the summer sailings on the Wonder. You can make a new booking for a party of 2 but no availability for parties of 4 on many sailings.

Last offering going out to all on the cruise...
I have some tshirt transfers left from my last order. Wanted
to make the attempt to see if anyone else wants one custom made
like I did for Hula. I may also be able to do some small magnets.

Hula... I will need a address, as I will be shipping on Monday.
Do you have paypal?

ok...half way down the SECOND page! What happened to our momentum?

FISHLIPS @ 7pm on Friday April 18th. I will be making reservation within the next week or so. All the people who posted about the time agreed that 7pm was better.

Felt like spring today! My outside temp on my car said 75 degrees at one point today! Definately puts a spring in my step! No pun intended! Happy Weekend all! One more week down! Micheel

Started making lists, sorting, and shopping. Using the lists here on the disboards as a guide. Overwhelmed to say the least. What are anyone's tips?
What type of shoes would you suggest for my 9yr old boy to wear to dinner with khaki or blue pants. Right now it looks like I am taking 4-5 pairs of shoes for everyone, that's 25 pairs:eek:

I know what you mean about shoes....I'm going to try to limit the kids shoes. For my son I got brown leather sandals, so he can wear them for dinner, formal and semi-formal night. I think they will look nice with khacki's. I'm going to bring sport sandals for walking and a pair of flip-flops (they don't take up a lot of space. That's going to be the rule for most of us. It's still a lot. Hope we have room! :scared1:

All of a sudden I feel like the cruise is almost here and I have soooo much on my mind. So sorry, I have to vent.

I still don't have a computer, I haven't finished my door magnets. Dell says I probably won't get it until the the 9th of April.

Then to top it off, my husband came home from his business trip and told me he probably has to transfer to Chicago for his job. I have never moved! I've been in the same house since I was 5 (we bought the house from my parents). Talk about stress! :sad2: I definintely need a vacation!
