What info. do you need from me for the spreadsheet? I'm Gail, DH Gene, DD Brittani (12 -will be 13 in May), DS Austin (11), DS Kyle (7). We are DVC members since '05. 2 cabins - 1st is #2143, 2nd is guarantee. Celebrating DD B-day. Late dining. Anything else you need?

Whew! What a busy day yesterday. Busy at work all day... then last night DS14 had to go before the committee of the troop we want to get back into to ask if he could be back in. He did some stupid stuff at summer camp and was suspended from the troop we were in at the time but had been brought back in on a probationary basis. So now that we want to switch back to this troop, he had to ask the committee if he could be back in. Nothing too serious... stuff that would have been considered normal boy stuff 20 years ago but now in the world we're in ... but don't even get me started on that idea. He's a good kid. Anyway... I was SOOO proud of him last night. He stood there and with all of these adults asking him questions and such and answered with poise and bearing and honesty and conviction and he was such a young man and I'm SOOOOO proud of him.

Anyway.. when we got home, we plugged the computer into the TV and watched some Jeff Dunham spots off of youtube. If you havent' seen this guy, try to catch him. He's a ventriloquist comedian and he's funny as all get out!!! Go to youtube and find his bit with Achmed the Dead Terrorist. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey, weluvdisney5 --

When you get a moment, send me the relevant information for the hyperlist.

Here is some info - I'm Gail, DH Gene, DD Brittani (12 (13 in May)), DS Austin (12), DS Kyle (7); Late Dining; DVC members since '05; 1st time cruisers; 2 cabins #2143 and the other is a guarantee (Cat. 9); celebrating DD B-day. What other info is needed for the list?

Got it. I'll try to get the hyperlist updated later on and reposted.

OMG!
I can hardly keep my eyes open right now after getting caught up.
I too hosted one of the first ever DCL house parties and I'll tell you all tomorrow how I single handedly was able to get extra benifits for the hosts.
Shhhhh.....

Anyways, I'll try to pop in on the Dismeet, most likely alone or with my DD (3).
My wife isn't quite the social butterfly, she's very shy and it sometimes comes off rude, but she isn't, just shy.

So, anymore talk on shirts?
I thought I saw somewhere an online company did print them?
Did you do them in Lime Green???

Guess that's all for now, I'll try my hardest to get on tomorrow.

GO PATS!!!!!!!

I had shirts printed from cafepress.com, they did a good job. Just expensive. For 4 shirst, front and back print, $74.00! It's better than what I could do at home. And no, no lime green, my husband wouldn't wear it then!

I don't know if you gave this earlier but just missing: date of arrival, hotel on arrival, palo ressie (which I forgot what exactly that is), fish extender partipation, if anyone is dressing up for pirate night, yankee swap participation and grills meet on the Friday the 18th. I think that's it.

What is B&S?:confused3

Sorry my bad...In my frustration and anxiety over deleting something that I shouldn't I was using lingo and not thinking that someone wouldn't know it! A big thunk on the head for me! It is Brothers and Sisters!

WOW! More than 3 pages in one day! We are taking off!

Joan: column for Palo Ressies was originally for a group reservation for Palo. My last cruise we booked a private room for 12 of us DISers and had a private brunch. The idea didn't take off this time...so hey...delete that column baby! Isn't that music to your ears! I can see you, Joan... You are doing that dance aren't ya!!! :lmao:

Regarding shirts...I am crafty...last year I made our shirts with the iron on transfer paper found at Michaels...for less than 10 dollars (got the T's on sale) and a little time futzing around on the computer and a burned finger from the iron, we had one of a kind shirts! They came out cute. I had the year on them, so we won't be using them this year. I am doing another T-shirt design this year. Found the idea on the board somewhere! It will be cool seeing everyone in their shirts. Cute photo opportunity anyway!

Have a nice night...then again, maybe I should say see ya later! It is early. May be back on after I exercise!

Michelle

Sorry I forgot say somethings...see deleting brothers and sisters has wreaked havoc on my life!

Gail aka WeLuvDisney5: I am interested in buying DVC. If you don't mind, could you tell me how do points work for a cruise? And holy cannoli...700 pp for flights...I would be driving too! Can anyone say PORTABLE DVD PLAYER!

Welcome to TECHJPM and AddictedtoMickey. Glad you are joining us! The more the merrier

AddictedtoMickey: I have a 7 year old daughter too! Actually, I am very excited that there are quite a few girls from 5 to 10 on the ship! My daughter had such good times with her friends on the ship! My daughter is an only child so it makes it much easier when she has friends...friends from the pool, friends from the club, friends from dinner etc...friends everywhere she goes!

Joan: Is Rebecca going to do club or lab? I didn't know if she would go to the club because Tyler was there and it was easier having them in the same place. Emily is still a club candidate. Actually the club activities are more her interest still, I believe.

So...how did you get to host a DCL House party TJeff...and what was the secret...and how do you get invited to one? Do tell! Oh, and someone else did one two, right? Sorry, I forget who!

Okay for now...got smarter this time..saying ok for now...instead of goodnight!

Hi Michelle - Let me first tell you - it's the best investment we ever made. We have 200 points - Disney sets a point value for each diff't category cabin (adult/child) on the cruise. You can use banked pts (previous year if not used), current yr. pts., and borrow next year's points (if I hadn't used last year and part of this year, I would have had 600 available for the cruise). We only had 350 available so we paid some cash (at a discounted rate).
Have you ever gotten info on DVC? Let me know if you want addt'l info - I'd be happy to help you.

What is a DCL house party?

Gail (weluvdisney5)

Joan - We're driving - so arrival is kinda up in the air. We may arrive Friday night, or early Saturday morning. What is fish extender? As for dressing up for pirate's night - we bought these funky pirate hats from Disney.

How does check in work the day of the cruise - does it go in order you arrive?

Gail

Michelle,
We are DVC owners too, and are using points for the 4th time to cruise. We have 230 "original" (from 1992) points and then bought 150 at Boardwalk a few years later. I agree with Gail - best thing we ever bought. Having DVC has allowed us to vacation every year, either at WDW or on the cruiseline, to bring friends and relatives, and to spend our annual "points" any way we want to. Call DVC and talk to a live person - they are not pushy in the least bit, and will answer all your questions without trying to get you to purchase.

We were just there a few weeks ago looking at Bridgewater State College for my DD. Pretty school, but ended up not being her first choice.

It's nice to see so many ma. people! Last time we went there were alot of people from Canada.
Actually, we met someone from Nova Scotia wasthat you addictedtomickey on Disney wonder 3/2005?

weluvdisney5- I just want you to know its me that was the other person who had the dcl party! My husband seen it on their website and applied for it and got it! It was alot of fun and I'm sure next cruise we'll have more families w/us!

Colleen:)

Well Paul, I guess the girls hit it off! They have alot in common! Thats Good! Sometimes its hard to get comfortable w/other people right away so you don't end up really having Fun until mid cruise and by the last night you wish you had met these people sooner! I know they will definately have alot of fun together!!! Thanks, Colleen :)

She decided on Salem State - loved it from the first visit. Applied early and is already accepted, so no more stress about where she's going next year. This will be her last school vacation with us. :sad1: Then she'll join her brothers who are on college schedules, and are out of luck when it comes to vacations during the school year. Next year we'll be down to just one kid to take on vacation - think of all the money we're going to save!

Hey there all. Since my only goal is to confuse you all with this post....here goes... I was reading a general area thread by Shirley and read that Grills (the restaurant suggested by me way back when for a pre-cruise meet..got the idea from former cruise I was on) does not take reservations! It does say that you can call ahead and get put on a list. But also right on the water is FISHLIPS...it takes reservations and it actually has a bigger variety of foods...pasta, steak, sandwiches etc..

And the group says....
