Wait, I'm confused. Where's the meet? I was assuming Promonade Lounge was on the SHIP?!

Yeah, on the ship. Sorry if I confused you. I meant that since my flight lands at 10:50 it'll be cutting it close to actually be on the ship by 2pm. We've never flown in the day of the cruise before so I really have no idea how long it will take.

I think the bus leaves hourly though, so if that's the case, I'm sure we'd miss the 11am bus, so it would be noon before we could leave, but then they'd have our luggage so we'd skip that hassle. If we take a towncar, we'd probably be able to leave a little sooner and not have to wait for it to fill up so that would save some time soon, but we'd have to collect our luggage, then drop it off when we get to the port. Not sure what's best.

As far as JustThat's concern about 2pm for our DISmeet @ the promonade lounge...Just to add confusion to the whole thing...and to send Hypermommy into a hypertizzy ...but not to undermine anyones ideas or plans...how bout making it 2:30 or even 3pm? That will give everyone a better chance of arriving, eatting lunch and settling in and not feeling rushed? Yes, no or what do you think?

Sounds okay to me... but I won't promise not to start enjoying the drink of the day until the meet

Wish I could have foundd this ... that's what I was looking for in the message to Joan earlier. But I was too rushed trying to get to a scout training.

I got assigned a cabin today! I just checked the DCL site since I figured they were looking at our room yesterday and sure enough, we have a cabin number, 8088! I am sooooo happy cause this is the exact location we wanted! That was the only reason we considered the upgrade, so we could choose our location and not end up under the Mickey pool, so I'm so happy we didn't waste $4K when we got what we wanted anyway!

2 or 2:30 in the Promenade Lounge is good. The drill is at 4pm.
Most people will probably pop in just to say hi because there is so much going on that first day. Last time I cruised we had our meet on deck 10 overlooking the sail-away party. Everyone was going to be there anyway, so it made sense.
Whatever works for most poeple. Maybe we are overthinking it.

Anty-exactly right.
As far as I understand the idea of the meet and it has been like that the previous cruises-Its an informal quick get together.It makes it easier to put some faces to the names.That way whenever you run into somenone later that week its easier to talk to each other.
Later doesn´t work bacause of the Sail away party and Dinner.And on Sunday is Palo brunch.From my experience early in the cruise works best and normalyy its not a long affaire.
My vote would still be Saturday 2 or 2.30.

Long Island here we will be leaving the day before the cruise
and staying at the country inn and suites. we should be at our hotel about 1pm and then my dd is going to be surfing the rest of the afternoon if the waves are good!!

Can't help you out with the stateroom thing...but we are a family of three and we did an inside last March and are doing an inside for this cruise. My DH and I have always done inside cabins, with the exception of our Honeymoon. We look at an inside cabin as a way to keep vacationing a couple times of year with the savings...but do I want a verandah...Heck yeah...but I would rather spend a week in WDW too later this year.

The "hyper"lists are lists that are organzing group information...such as home location, early or late seating, cabin #, Palo reservations, spa ressies or excursions. Joan (4newtocruise) is the keeper of the spreadsheet and Hypermommy (denise..and she prefers Hypermommy to denise) is the keeper of the list.

And yes there are quite a few ny/nj families going on the cruise. That info can be found on the spreadsheet from Joan. I don't have the link handy. If you read back a few posts, I am sure you will find it. We are from the hudson valley in NY but I am familiar with your area as I went to Seton Hall University for my undergrad degree.

I can hardly keep my eyes open right now after getting caught up.
I too hosted one of the first ever DCL house parties and I'll tell you all tomorrow how I single handedly was able to get extra benifits for the hosts.
Shhhhh.....

Anyways, I'll try to pop in on the Dismeet, most likely alone or with my DD (3).
My wife isn't quite the social butterfly, she's very shy and it sometimes comes off rude, but she isn't, just shy.

Well, as glorious as a DVR (and TIVO) can be..it is only as good as those who use the remote control...This is nice talk for I erased 2 episodes of B & S from November from my DVR memory...

I know you can now watch full episodes from the computer...and I found ABC's site with full episodes, but it only includes the last 2 episodes aired. Anyone know of another place to view full episodes on line? I did a search and all I am getting is frustrated.

Anybody have it DVRed still and can burn me a copy and send it to me...anything...HELP! I am missing the last 2 episodes of NOV... the episode where Kitty has cold feet and Lyle Lovett sings and the wedding episode! HELP! Anyone..please!
