April 17, 2018 MK issue

Hello,
I am starting to plan my 2018 Trip (with work) and I see that on Tuesday 4/17, Magic Kingdom is closing at 6pm. This doesn't seem right. Can anyone shed some light as to why this might be happening?

Hey there, so I've done some research on this because it does seem to be an oddity. Only guess I have is someone has rented out the park for the evening for a company event or a wedding. I'm not 100% sure but that seems to be the only explainable route for it being closed at 6pm when everything else for April is 9pm at MK.

You might want to check out what conventions are in town that day. Some of the big companies rent out a park for the night.

Hello, I was also planning on visiting MK on April 17th. While looking for info as to why it was closing at 6pm on that date only, I found this thread a few weeks ago. I was just on Disney's website, and guess what, closing time is now listed at 9pm! Just Thought I should give you a heads up if you didn't already know. And this is just a reminder to always confirm times before visiting the parks, it can change.
