I think I'm picturing how you are packaging the FE's but to be clear, are you putting each individual item and bundling them all into 1 "goody bag" type of package with labels on them, 1 per room?

Just want to make sure I'm politically FE correct ya know!

No worries. The theme for this FE Exchange is "anything goes"! A lot of people are doing one goody bag per cabin. I am doing one goody bag per couple/single plus goody bags for each child (for both of my cruises). I ended up using regular 'ole baggies this time for the adults' surprises. (Ya'll know I've got a lot going on with the wedding and keeping up on all our lists!!! ) So, whatever you decide to do will be absolutely perfect!

Can I just say this - I am having so much difficulty with concentrating on anything else other than this upcoming trip! This is the most excited I've been about any of my vacations, and I'm nervous that after the vacation is over, I'm going to become so depressed!

I feel the same way. It is really hard for me to concentrate at work on anything but this trip! I have many different websites up on my computer during the day and have to constantly drop them down or put stuff away when students or staff come in my office. Can't have them thinking I'm not working!!

Count me in on not being able to concentrate on anything else but this cruise! (And no, I'm not starting another list!!! ) Life has been crazy busy these last few months, and will really get busy after the cruise! My daydreams are about lounging on our veranda, just watching the ocean go quietly by, without a care in the world! I neeeeeeeeed this week of relaxation! I won't have time to be sad that the cruise is over because I'll have the big wedding to distract me!!!

I really am thinking of booking another cruise while on the ship but I'll have to ask you guys the best way to take advantage of the discounts, tips/tricks, etc. when we meet and are drinking a really cool drink by the pool!

We're definitely rebooking onboard: something for spring break next year plus two dummy cruises. I plan to fill out interest cards for all three cruises and pop them in the cruise rebooking box before the sun sets on the first day of our cruise!!!

My Dis'er Image didn't look cute when I tried to add it to the top right shoulder however, so I made them into buttons! They are very inexpensive and easy to do!

I'm the idiot who thought a bag for each child was a good idea since the age ranges are so wide!! Now, I'm wishing I hadn't done it that way...a bag for each person, plus the main bag for each adult couple. Way too many bags to comfortably haul down with us. But, I figure it's that much more room, in the now empty bag, to stash goodies that I buy over a 10 day period!!

OMG, We are closing on our house here in Maine today. Finally thank goodness. I am very happy but there is so much to be done.

I am freaking out! We are moving all but essential clothing, stuff out of the rental, I have to clean that, clean the new house and the moving truck comes this Tuesday. I just do not understand how I am going to get all of this done! There is clothing everywhere! Some on the truck and some here, yikes

I wrote a while ago that a guy who worked with my husband was going on our cruise but it turned out he was going on the carnival dream? Who dares to have a different ship named the dream! Whats wrong with that schmuck he doesn't know what ship he is on????

Pershing have you called the ball on our nightclub tour yet? I was worried I missed it...no joke three cruises and I never made it out to one nightclub, jeeeesh!

Deb T. How is the wedding planning coming? Will you make your deadline by the cruise and sail worry free??!! Knowing how organized you are I am sure you will.

Last year I re-booked a cruise on the ship because I was so depressed at the thought of leaving the boat. It really did help. I know I cannot do that this year what with our new house but already I have talked myself out of that!!! The deposit is not that much and I guess I can always cancel!

Happy packing y'all! If you get stressed just think of us meeting at 2:00pm on the first day, happy, warm and excited!

Same here! I entered in some dates on paperwork this week and did it wrong not once, but three times. Then I almost forgot to do something else. I don't have to wonder what my problem is - I'm distracted!

We will also be rebooking while onboard. Probably a dummy date for next year then move it once the new rates are released in the fall. It's the easiest way to get a discount on a Disney cruise, so why not?

Oh and BTW I know I am too old but I am going to get my hair braided anyway! I lived in St John USVI and used to wear it that way all the time. The cornrows are pulled so tight maybe it will erase the frown lines out of my forehead

Ugh, I've been zapped by zazzle. I didn't know we couldn't put "copyrighted" images such as a Mickey head onto a button, and they won't let me use my an image I received from one of the disigners.

Now I have that coupon and no designs. Oh well, I'll have to make them the old fashioned way - with an iron-on, .... BUT I can use that coupon for anything else now - it's like I'm forced to buy something else because of their little rule. (At least that's the way I'm spinning it to DH)

If you don't feel comfortable shipping the box down ahead of time and have no room to take it on the plane, you can ship it to me and we can check it at the port for you. We are driving down so another box in the truck won't matter much.

um...just wondering...can you actually "check" a box along with your luggage? that would be a great idea to pack all the FE gifts in a box and save space in the suitcase. do you think it will make it to the cabin??? lol

Why not find your favorite character and make a shirt. We made Phineas and Ferb ones for the kids. They are cute. The boys shirts have Phineas on the front and say "Sam, I know what we're gonna do today!" and on the back it says Livin' the Dream April 2011. The Sam is instead of Ferb
the girls have the fireside girl whose name I cant recall at the moment and they say "Hey Rachel. Whatcha doin" and they same thing on the back

If you play around enough you can find something. can you use the coupon for postage stamps. You can make your own with any character or picture

goodness - lol - off the boards for a few days and i missed bunches of posts!!

i'm with y'all on the "not being able to concentrate"...but i guess it doesn't help that i have magnets, notes, brochures, etc etc scattered around me and i have to drop stuff or minimize my screen every time somebody pops into my cubicle!! sheesh!!!

Yes you can check a box at the port and have it show up in your cabin. It's funny to walk along the hall and see all the different things people check with the porters - have seen storage tubs duct taped shut.

DH's surgery was very quick yesterday - in and out of the surgery center in about 45 minutes. I almost laughed when he walked out and said he was done. He can take the bandage off tomorrow and keep a bandaid on it and has to keep it totally dry until the stitches are removed in 2 weeks.

I have this weekend completely off -- there's an OT shift for on call Friday night and I'm soooooo tempted, but trying to say no. That should give me plenty of time to finish up and get stuff ready to be packed. I lay it all out on the dining room table and add things as I go so I don't forget anything. Right now in 2 weeks, I'll be picking DS up at school so he can change, jump in the car and we can get through Hartford before rush hour. We'll be eating an early dinner and then going to the airport around 5ish. I totally can't wait!!!!!!!

But I'm the one that's going crazy . I'm so used to being by myself most of the time since he works third shift, 6 nights a week. I have to change my entire routine when he's home.
