April 17, 2011 on the Dream

I just saw the news & it's another one of those "We could either get a foot of snow or nothing....depends on the track".....if I had a dime for every time I heard that this winter! :lmao:

Bumperlove- we are from Auburn!

:yay:

This weather is stressing me out! We have to drive to NY Friday for a wedding that begins at 7pm Friday...:headache:

we are from Framingham....lots of MA cruisers!

Has anyone shipped a box down to the ship beforehand?? My FE stuff is taking up waaaay too much room in carryon and I don't want to check them (just know they'll disappear). Just wondered if it was feasible to ship ahead of time and the best way to do it. I think I remember seeing something posted about that in this thread someplace!!

If you don't feel comfortable shipping the box down ahead of time and have no room to take it on the plane, you can ship it to me and we can check it at the port for you. We are driving down so another box in the truck won't matter much.

We've been getting some things down around here since DH has his hand surgery tomorrow. The doc still thinks we'll be back to work in a couple of days, but they don't offer light duty of any kind, so we'll have to see what works says when he takes his papers in after surgery. I don't know what is up with docs any more, they want to send you back to work way too soon. :confused3

We decided that we would pack for the cruise up here that way we can play at Epcot on Sat. after we arrive down there and not have to worry about packing down there.

Now the big thing.....I have to find my passport. :headache: I know I can use my b/c if I have to, I just feel better using my passport.
Plus we still have to get our taxes down. We've never waited this late to do them. I'm sure our tax guy will yell at us for waiting so long. :headache:

I KNOW! We are from Northbridge (south of Worcester) I am so sick of the snow!!!

Westborough here.....and I am so NOT looking forward to Friday's weather. Our production of "Anything Goes' opens Friday night. If it snows, the audience won't come out!!! Hate performing for a tiny group. ah well...it is what it is.

I would ship directly to the ship but I have candy in my bags and don't want any dog sniffing to cause a commotion. That is such a nice offer. I think we'll be okay...gonna split the bags up between our three carryon bags. So we 'should' be okay...famous last words. Thanks so much for the offer though...gotta love DISers.

I know what I want to do on Zazzle but dont know why I just don't sit down and do it! I am really going to run out of time here.

Here is more motivation: I received an email from Eversave this morning for $40 worth of merchandise for $20 on Zazzle. (our location was Greensboro NC) After purchase on Eversave they immediately give you a certificate to print with a discount code to enter on Zazzle. I grabbed a coupon and made a couple of shirts today. They should be here next week. Now, GET TO IT! :rotfl:

I just bagged my 1st FE adult gift!!! While it's not super creative I am pleased with how they turned out! I tried so hard not to put food in them so I can ship them to the ship and I succeeded!!!!!

Clearing off a long table so I can start laying things out this weekend, of course first have 1/2 day lacrosse tournament for oldest DS and practice for DD!!!

That is of course if we don't get the 5-10 inches of snow they are predicting, I mean really enough is enough!

Worcester here!

And could this snow news be a little more flippin awful!!! :headache:

Sorry about the bum time on the meet! This is why DebT is the guru of lists and keeping us organized and not ME!!! :lmao:

Off to see what eversave is!! Good tip!

Woo hooo!!! Thank you so much curlybop!!! Got the Eversave voucher for Zazzle, it came up for Worcester also! :thumbsup2

Well the offer's still out there should you change your mind. We're leaving on the 15th.

We're leaving on the 15th.

We'll be right behind you, Jill. As soon as the boys are out at 3:00 on the 15th, we'll be on the road. Hopefully, we won't be stuck somewhere around the 270/495/95 connections. If we can get through it before rush hour is heavy, we'll be fine.

I can see I'm in the minority here and I may regret my packing decision, but I like sundresses more than capris or shorts, so I'm packing mostly sundresses, swimsuit dresses and coverups. I'll even be wearing one as we check in for the cruise, so we can go straight for the pool/aquaduck. I'll have comfy lounge/yoga sweats for traveling in the car and tee shirts to sleep in. If it gets cold, I may be in trouble. We're at Vero Beach after the cruise, so its more bathing suit/coverup days on the beach and at the pool.

I've got 6 more FEs to finish and pack. Now I just have to pass the last of my securities tests on the 14th and I'm free!

Actually you'll be way ahead of us. We won't leave home until around 7pm. I think DD will be working that day after school and she gets home by 6:30. If we leave any earlier we'll get stuck in the DC traffic and that's no fun at all.

Oooooohhhh, LOVE that Zazzle! :thumbsup2
My Dis'er Image didn't look cute when I tried to add it to the top right shoulder however, so I made them into buttons! They are very inexpensive and easy to do!

I think I'm picturing how you are packaging the FE's but to be clear, are you putting each individual item and bundling them all into 1 "goody bag" type of package with labels on them, 1 per room?

Just want to make sure I'm politically FE correct ya know! :thumbsup2

Can I just say this - I am having so much difficulty with concentrating on anything else other than this upcoming trip! This is the most excited I've been about any of my vacations, and I'm nervous that after the vacation is over, I'm going to become so depressed! :sad2:

I really am thinking of booking another cruise while on the ship but I'll have to ask you guys the best way to take advantage of the discounts, tips/tricks, etc. when we meet and are drinking a really cool drink by the pool! :yay: :flower3:

lol - my DD was using computer and did not log out :lmao:, It's me, Alenushka :grouphug:

I don't know how to post pictures here, so I posted a few pictures of our finished Dis- project on FB. Now - back to packing!

I feel the same way. It is really hard for me to concentrate at work on anything but this trip! I have many different websites up on my computer during the day and have to constantly drop them down or put stuff away when students or staff come in my office. Can't have them thinking I'm not working!! I want to book another cruise while onboard...I feel another list coming on - the rebooking tutorial

I just saw your finished projects. Wow your magnets put mine to shame. AND I thought I had a lot! I love all your shirts and that hoodie is awesome!

We are leaving the Maryland area on the 14th and must get out before DC rush hour traffic in the morning! I think that means leaving at 5/5:30am!! I am a little concerned about possible morning traffic in Richmond/Petersburg area... Not sure what to expect there...

Good luck on your test!!

Debbie

Good luck to your DH with his surgery tomorrow! :flower3: Please pop on here when you have a chance and let us know how he's doing. :grouphug:
