Okay, I've done it. Even I think I'm going too far, but I just...can't...help...myself!!

I was in Michael's, I was just picking up some magnets for door decorations on a study break (found some very awesome magnetic tape, too). Then all of a sudden a very kind woman sees me with a couple of things in my hands and says, "Oh here, I have a great coupon but its only good for today and I'm not buying anything." Its 25% your ENTIRE purchase. Cha-ching!

DS is then dragged along with me to the $1 aisle and we begin what I'll just call the FE madness. Yes, I am already making gifts for the familes, but I thought I'd get something small for each of the kids, too. But wait, I already bought something fun for the kids last summer. Oh well, they'll get these, too. :

An FE intervention is going to be necessary very soon.

What will I do April 17th when there's nothing left to obsess about??? Oh yeah, the Fantasy MV...whew!

Hi all! Been following a lot of the discussion.

Gonna be on this cruise with my wife and three kids (ages 9, 8 and 5) -- we're very excited about it! First time with DCL and have heard so many good things.

Since it's our first time, our reservations window opens Tuesday (Feb. 1) -- I've read I should get online at midnight Monday night. Are there even any reservation times left at Palo? Are a lot of the excursions already filled? (On Nassau, we're thinking of doing either dolphins at Blue Lagoon or Discover Atlantis -- would welcome any suggestions. Dolphins seems expensive but memorable.)

Anybody have any insight? Thanks!

I'm Platinum and checking the website for you now:
I see no Palo tea & dinner ressies
For brunch I see 10:30 ressies for 2

For Nassau I only see 2 excursions that are completely booked: Atlantis Aquaventure and Observer at Atlantis Dolphin Cay & Aquaventure

We are in 04B, midship, 8th deck. The only one little problem, since it is our second leg of the cruise, our cabin will not be neat and organized as the rest of you who just got on board . O-well, just ignore the mess...

Got to run, before my DH realizes I am back here...he is calling for intervention

Jill, that's interesting. As only a silver CC member, I see only Palo dinner ressies open, no brunch. I'd like a brunch and will be likely giving up my dinner if I can snag one onboard. Although the customer service lines reported by Dis'ers thus far aren't making me too hopeful.

Maybe this explains it, they release so many ressies for each Castaway Club level and that's all you can see.

I wouldn't read into too much the complaints that are coming about right now. There will be many the first few cruises and I would just take them all with a grain of salt and be hopeful the CM's are learning as they go along.

Welcome to our Meets thread, hubwriter! I'm so glad you posted!

Funny, four of us were all trying to look up your Palo/Excursions online at the same time! (I was just a lot slower at it, only because I got distracted booking parasailing as a surprise for DH, DD, and DD's fiance for our 4/21 cruise! ) Anyway, we sure are a helpful bunch!

For all who still want to book Palo, please don't be discouraged yet. You will have the opportunity to try and book it as soon as you get onboard. And, if that doesn't pan out, then you can be put on a wait list for cancellations. So, keep the faith! In the meantime, I'm pulling for ya!

hubwriter ~ for the best chance of booking your desired excursions and Palo, it is highly recommended that you are online, logged in, and ready to roll at midnight. There is a good chance that DCL has held Palo reservations for this booking window and, as already noted, space is very limited, especially on these shorter cruises.

Interesting that people are seeing so many variations on the same cruise, after checking at virtually the same time.

Since we've never been on a Disney cruise, we wouldn't be crushed if we didn't get Palo, though we both love Italian food. Would be fun to check it out, but I won't get my hopes up.

Seems like it would defeat the advantage of being Platinum or Silver if they do indeed hold back spots for different classes (including first-timers).
