Actually, I purchased my FE previously from Gradysmommy on ebay. The one I made was a gift for a very special Dis'er friend.

I was reading FE threads on Saturday (I saw your posts there )

Yeah, I probably should have waited until after the cruise to post my pics. But you'll still get to be surprised when you see your FE gift, as everyone's will be different and they changed a bit from my prototype.

Thanks to this site being down Sat. night, I did not get that far and I did not get to see your pictures , if i get back on that thread, i will skip your posts to keep it a surprise
But I was shocked to see some pics of unbelievable and amazing handmade FE gifts, and, at one point I got scared that mine would be inadequate compare to those; however, I saw a few encouraging posts reminding everyone that it's all just for fun and that a gift is always special, even if it's not hand made. I need to start going over/sort out a few boxes of different things I got during last 6 months . May be next time I will have hand-made ones (I wish I read that thread 6 months ago).

Just checked our weather and they are now calling for the snow to start on Wed. instead of Tues. if they are correct that gets rid of all my worries.

saw these nice tote bags at Vera Bradley...they had some nice colors on sale. It would cost as much as a FE but would be functional after. Hmmm...what do you think? I would have to find some way to identify the "Garrison's" and "Guarniere's".

I used a regular tote bag as my FE until a very sweet person surprised me with a real one! You really don't need to personalize your Vera Bradley tote, but I do suggest using a zip tie to secure it. In fact, I would suggest that everyone use zip ties to secure their FE's to keep them from "wandering".

Please, please, never feel inadequate over an FE gift. As Deb says its all about the fun! I happen to love to sew new projects and FE gifts are my pre-cruise therapy so I don't drive my family up the wall obsessing over every little cruise detail. As I think I said on that thread, I'm in my own little Disney Dream Cruise world when I make FE gifts... and I like it there!

Tonight on facebook I met a fellow diser here in Trumbull. She's planning 4 cruises - the beeyatch! Just kidding - she sounds very nice and we have a mutual friend in common.

ANOTHER snow day for us!!!! Started out as a delay and moved to a cancellation about an hour ago. With the storm coming later this week I'm guessing they will be home another day as well!!!

Going to cancel my trip to Florida in February, I had planned to take the kids out for 3 days to visit my parents in Siesta Key, but they are thinking of taking away one of the professional development days we were piggy backing to make up one of these snow days. That would mean the kids would miss 4 days and with all these snow days they are having I just can't in good conscience do it!!! They'll forget how to learn!!!

Hey all!
It's called a "rashguard" because I believe it started out as a way to protect people from the sand, shells, etc... when surfing, bodysurfing, boogeyboarding, etc... generally just playing in the ocean. Now they make them with all kinds of sun protection, etc...
I am in full FE gift making mode! We have a teacher workday today so I took advantage and went to Michael's to pick up some crafting supplies. Now all I want to do is work on my ideas and I have to work!! Maybe I can sneak out early...
