Yelena, you said you called? I'm going online - am I missing something? I went to www.comfortsuites.com and put in Nassau, BS for April 18-19. $291 on AAA as of this morning. I did check over the weekend as well, and still no change..

I don't think it should make a difference calling vs going on line. Probably, by the time you got on their site, they did not have any rooms left at that price. If it helps, I called this number: 1-877-424-6423. Try calling, who knows?!? If not, just keep checking with them as frequently as you can.

Who got teary eyed watching the videos of the Dream arriving on the 4th? Yep, that was me! My kids think I'm crazy.

My youngest swears he's not touchin' the water slide. It creeps him out that it goes out over the ocean. The other 2 DS's can't wait.

Btw, Our cruise is not appearing today at all on disneycruise dot com. Not even in guarantee status'. Nothin' And still no assignment for my gty.

Some of the other Dream cruises have gotten their gty assignments already.

Ok, here's the deal - this morning I wake up and check my email. The Disney blog had a great video of the boat and as soon as the horn blew the "when you wish upon a star" tune, I lost it! I was sitting there all choked up and then my DD, 11 walks in and starts laughing at me. She obviously didn't have her yet!

OK, onto the famous "Atlantis or Bust" conversation we've been having..... I ponied up - the AAA discount is still not as low as when Yelena booked, but I'm in for $370 all totaled and if we decide to cancel, at least we'll have that option.. I'll keep checking for the lower rates, but I'm not hopeful.

What do you cruise professionals think that day should look like as far as timing? I was thinking to get off the boat right after breakfast, maybe by 9:00?
Then hopefully in a pool at Atlantis by 10:00?
Leave to go back to boat about 4:00?

Does that sound right? Will it take me longer than 1/2 hour to get to/from boat/hotel?

Your timeline looks about the same as mine. Breakfast and off ship ASAP. Atlantis Aquaventure area opens at 10am so that's the time I'm looking to get there. Back to the ship around 4p sounds about right. I have no idea how long it takes to get there, but I do know that cabs are plentiful outside the cruise terminal.

Keep checking those rates!!!!

The one time we took a taxi to Atlantis, it was about a 15 - 20 minute ride. Most of the taxis at the port are mini-vans, and the driver usually wants a full load before they will leave. It was very easy to get a taxi back to the port.

Hi Everyone,

Just checking in. We are finally settled in Maine in a furnished rental. House is still for sale in New York but we are hopeful. I just got my plane tickets finally, was freaking out a bit because the prices for jet blue were up so high! Got some out of Boston so they are not so bad. Whew

Been keeping an eye on the thread, it has made me happy when I have been really stressed Are we planning to gather anywhere? I know it is hard because it is a new ship and no one knows it very well!

I can never get my family off the ship in port except for Castaway Cay! I have gazed longingly at Atlantis before but we always enjoy staying when there are much fewer people!

I teared up like a baby when I saw the Dreamy Dream pull in. I haven't let myself get too excited but now it is 2011 I am letting loose the reins!

The fish extender list must be up pretty high by now, I remember having trouble getting everything in my luggage!

Can't wait to cruise on the Dream. It is going out on my birthday the 26th...sigh...wish I could be on it then too! Wendy

Are you buried in snow too? The roads don't look too bad now but my driveway and car are under a huge pile of snow, not to mention the mountain at the end of the driveway from the plow . Getting myself psyched to go shoveling, yuck. It does look awfully pretty on the trees though.

Ugh! Its just starting here on the Cape! I was hoping the weatherpeople were wrong again.

Still snowing a bit here in central Mass as well. It looked like the sun was coming out about an hour ago, but it was a false alarm!!!
I can't wait for April to get here...warm weather, no snow, shorts, tee shirts. Oh man. I do have to start organizing my FE stuff. I keep buying things as I see them...may be getting a bit carried away at this point.
I finally nagged my dd into posting on the teen board. Told her that children of moderators have responsibilities!!! So, she posted..hoping to get some conversation going with the other teens..so talk it up with your kids. Would be nice if they could share stuff before they get there...it's a short cruise and some bonding before then will make it so much nicer once they get on board.
