April 17, 2011 on the Dream

Thanks for the code!!! I was using the costco code and this code cut my rates in HALF!!!!

bdink921, thanks so much for the code! I just got my rental for before the cruise and after and the rates were the best I got in a long time. Great discount code from Mousesavers, I always use their codes also - sometimes it's all about timing with Budget. But I wasn't even thinking about car rental yet, had air fare on my mind all day today. You rock!

:thumbsup2 Glad it worked for you!! I was sitting here just typing in a list of codes I had written down and when the prices came up I thought I made a mistake. It was a great pick me up after booking our flights today :) .

Hi, everyone - its been WEEKS since I've been out here (AND I actually posted to the wrong spot earlier- sheesh), so I'll apologize first off if this info has been posted and I just missed it ... Is there a current listing of number of people participating in the Meet? My wife is starting to put goodies together and we're not sure how much (can you tell we're new to this??) ;)

Ooohhh... thanksfor that budget code. Was going to take disney bus down, but might just use it both ways now.

WOW, you guys have been busy today! Congratulations on your accomplishments! :thumbsup2 Sounds like an important day in our trip planning!
We are staying at the Radisson a night before the cruise (it starts on 4/14). For $150, it covers one night stay, parking for 8 nights, breakfast for 2, and shuttle to and from the port. I am curious about Country Inn. I will research it to compare.
Hopefully, a lot of you would sleep much better tonight, knowing that your tickets are booked!:cool1:

Hi Everyone!

Well, it's been 14 hours since my 5:10am post... and it sure has been a looooooooooooooooooong day!

I delayed getting ready for work as long as I could, and then hit "refresh" one last time at 6:30am and BAM! the SWA window had opened! As I had feared, fares were high for the dates/times we wanted. :guilty: Our total (including Early Bird Check-in) came to a whopping total of $738.80 for just 2 of us. :sad2: Other than hoping for a miraculous DING fare, at least I know I did the best I could for the lowest fares possible.

:worship: bdink - many thanks for the awesome Budget code! :flower3: We've always used DCL transportation when it's just the two of us, but your code saved nearly $50 off DCL's cost! :cool1: We're very excited about having a rental car because it's going to give us so much more flexibility!!!!! :cool1:

Congrats to all the others who were able to book air and rental cars! pirate:

Come on April!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering if you were able to book your flights before you went to work, especially seeing how high they started and how quickly they got even higher or disappeared :scared1:. Glad the rental car code worked for you :thumbsup2.

Awww, thanks for thinking of me! :goodvibes It was a real nail-biter this morning, though! No need for a workout... my heart rate was sky high and my exercise was hitting refresh... refresh... refresh... refresh... :rotfl:

Thanks! I was wondering how you knew which code to use....there were so many on mousesavers.

Are you talking about how many people/cabins are included in the Fish Extender exchange? If that is what you mean did you ask to be included on the list?
Post #882, page 59 is the last FE list that I could find.

thats the one! thank you! I obviously will need to get the terminology down much better - thanks!

If I take a rental car to port in the morning of the cruise, will Budget take me to port in their van, or would I need a taxi???

They have a van that is free and will take you over. You usually don't have to wait more than 5 min for the van to arrive. They have 2 that are run on a circle between the port and their office. It's the same upon returning from the cruise.

Just in case anyone is interested...... I just tried the Y937800 Budget discount code (that bdink921 posted) and compared it to using the American Express code (S208200), and the Amex code cut the price almost in half. So...... if you plan on paying with an Amex card, you might want to check the rates again.

I went to check and I realized I had the wrong pick-up time on my confirmation (12pm not 9 am from port)...when I went to change it - the new rates were sky high......I used the amex code and it was the same as the mousesaver code had been last night!

I don't know if it makes a difference, but I'm a Fastbreak member and my Amex number is on my profile. Either that, or I got lucky and my timing was just right. I know the rates (on almost all of the rental car sites) can change quickly, sometimes from minute to minute. We're only renting for one day and the first price they quoted (with the Y937800 code) was over $90 for a full size car!! The Amex price was $46 on the same car.

I think the whole thing is screwy!

When I checked and compared the codes, 1/2 the time I'd get different pricing. I stayed with the Y937800 code instead of the amex code.

Not to mention the Y937800 code is more than 15% off. For the 1 day drive from the MCO airport to CC, it only cost $40 before tax, etc. Retail was over $85....
