So is the meet at 2pm or 2:30pm? I know the Tween meet is at 3pm. Wondering because I just got a call from DVC and their meet in Evolution is at 2:30. I did want to to do it all but trying to figure out what is and is not feasible....hmmm

Our DIS meet is 2-2:30pm and the cabin crawl starts at 2:30pm. Darn - I set this time because I thought it would surely be before any of the regular ship activities get started since all aboard isn't until 3:45pm.

That's nice you received a call about the DVC gathering. We've been DVC members since '95 and have cruised ten times but we've never received a phone call about onboard DVC gatherings. In fact, we never receive any DVC phone calls... ever.

Our Official Dis Board Meet is at 2:00!

The Tween thing was just something we threw together last minute so the kids were more comfortable and included at the onset. I had suggested that the tweens all walk over to the Edge together from our 2:00 meet with some of the parents so they could get there at 3:00 for some icebreakers, etc. that the Edge will undoubtedly be starting. Very informal type of thing. If you want to leave your DD with my DH and my DD, who is almost 12, so you can go to Evolution, I'm sure that would be fine! My family will have our nametags on, so just look for the loudmouthed blonde chick with glasses (that would be me), with the nametag Sandy on it!

Glad to know that there will be more than one loud mouth chick there...I'll have reddish brown hair though Will play it by ear regarding DD - she's a bit shy so I don't want to push her but then again she has surprised me a few times too (in a good way)

Deb - I have no idea why I got called by DVC....hmmm maybe cause we booked with points??? They did say there would be a raffle for those who showed for a $200 OBC

So excited and WAY overwhelmed ....Had to write a paper this week which was turned in on Tuesday. I have a speech tomorrow to give and I am SO not looking forward to. Then straight to work until I get out at 11pm and then we leave when I get home (after I shower again and pack a few ummm last minute items...and some more shoes)....phew!

Somebody get me a frozen drink of the day thing!

OMG! I can not believe it is time to leave. Parents & Asia are here. The car top carrier is packed to the gills! I am trying to get together the last minute stuff and put some shoes back...just can't do it!
My mom came in and said I need to talk to you...Your Father is in control...What??? Then she clarified - until we get to Florida then it's all you! Ohhhh...thank goodness!! I thought I almost lost my Disney control! Phew!
Asia and Connor are in the basement. I think they have lost it from excitement. They may not sleep tonight! I asked Asia if should even make up a bed for her...she just rolled her eyes! We'll see...
Safe Travels everyone! See you all there. Hope to be on the road by 5:30am, but now that I am not in control...who knows!

Safe travels to all who are on the road/in the air or will be soon. All our bags are packed, we're ready to go -- finally!!!!! Took forever too. Deb T. you would not be proud of me . We have way too many bags but I have to admit, the FE stuff took up one whole rolling carry on, plus some in Jake's carry on, plus some in our large suitcase... whew!! Tomorrow is a busy day -- bring the dog to the kennel (he already knows sonething's up and is not happy ), get that much needed oil change, clean the house, drag Jake out of school at 2p (yeah right, I'll have to DRAG him out ), then on the road to the airport at 3p. We'll grab an early dinner near the airport then catch our 630p flight . Funny, I checked in right at 630p tonight (flying on Southwest) and we all got high 'B' boarding passes -- must be alot of folks using the early bird check in . Well, goodnight everyone. I'm sure I'll check in one last time before we go .... can't wait to feel that Florida sunshine!!!!!

I've heard it's going to be in the high 80's this weekend in FL, but so far the humidity hasn't returned - let's hope it stays that way.


I haven't looked at the new Nav's that were posted the other day, but sometimes at 3:00 on embarkation day they offer a shopping overview presentation of Nassau. Off to check the Nav's to see if they are still doing that.

I had a crappy day last night and this morning. We have PTA Drama going on in my school. A friend of mine was not nominated for a position because she works full time. I was on the Confidential Committe that did the nomination process. I did not open my mouth because the outgoing president is an evil witch who I truly despise (and I don't despise many people). She ran the committee basically saying the whole time that no one who works could do any of the jobs. I was pissed - as a former working parent - and knew that I would blow up if I opened my mouth.
Well last night my friend wrote and email blasting the committee for not putting her on the ballot to be voted on. And I wrote a supporting email to her calling the outgoing president a bully. And wait for it....

I HIT REPLY ALL....

I feel awful....I really dont like her but I should never have done that.

On the positive side....I am all packed just doing the last minute stuff - we leave tommorrow morning

Yikes! I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this! It sounds just awful! I wish there would be a pop-up box that says something like, "Are you sure you want to Reply to All?" that would help us catch big errors like that since it happens all the time. I hope you are able to put this all in the back of your mind and not let it bother your vacation. (I'm the type that would let it eat at me from now until forever.) Hang in there!

For kids club, took a picture from observation deck (was it there before ), and took a picture with Mickey. 11:50, first family just boarded our number is 7, our friends have a kid with autism they arrived at 11:30 and got boarding number 1. Crowds are no different than when we were here last time, nothing crazy, just typical.
The ship is so beautiful

BTW, our DD, 10, might be allowed to go to the Edge for an hour or two, so she will get to spend some time with your Tweens (could somebody copy and paste it to tween boards, please, she is very excited)

We don't leave Maryland until early Sunday, so I'm still at work
Went to Kohls last night just to get one pair of shorts,well $100.00 later I left with more than just one pair of shorts.
Bags are now zip tied , so I can't put any more stuff in them
I might have alot of clothes, but only 2 pairs of shoes Thanks Debbie.
I would love to be on the list of Girls Night Out 11pm Night Club Tour, but I'm not sure if my god daughter is going to want to hang with me.
I might just show up one night if that's ok.

Just zipped the last of our way too many bags!!! Deb, I am an epic failure, I think I ended up with 6 pairs of shoes!!!!!

Having some lunch, going to double check my car on and then we are "outta here"!!!!! If you happen to pass through MCO and see 3 kids riding the "moving walkway" those are mine! Since we are spending two nights at the airport that is what the kids are most excited for!!!! It's not like we really live in the country!!

I am jealous of all of you who have started your vacation!! I have to work tomorrow and then we leave. I am procrastinating finishing packing right now but I really have to get moving! I am so excited!!! Tomorrow is going to be a long day - especially working with high school kids who are as anxious about vacation as I am!!! see you all sunday
