Yes I agree with the shoe list. Zappos is my go to store for shoes and I am now a VIP customer... Funny story - last weekend DH and I went away for the night and he makes fun of me all the time with my shoe obsession. Anyway to prove him wrong I only took one pair of shoes - my favorite black short booties. So we get to the B&B before everyone else and we decided to walk around Annapolis...the heel of one of my boots comes off (plastic part on the end of the heel)! I had no other shoes to change in to and it drove me nuts all night! Lesson learned - always bring lots of shoes even if for one night away!

DH just walked in screaming in confusion: "MORE SHOES????!!!" , yes, two clients cancelled today and I went shopping - finally found a comfortable pair of Merrells at half original price

I have my shoes out now....seems I'm taking too many pairs but it is what it is.

I'm doing really good with my packing. Got just about everything into the packing cubes. Just working on getting down the number of pairs of shoes DD and I are taking. And that is no easy task!

I will only bring 5 pairs of shoes, I will only bring 5 pairs of shoes

If I keep saying it, I might actually do it.

Your weather comment made me laugh. This morning we were driving to work & school and Connor had my iPhone and was looking at weather.com. He started reading me the 10 day forecast. Then he says "oh the weather for when we leave next Thursday is here and it will be...." I was so darn excited that the start date of my vacation was on the 10 day forecast!! It is so close!
I can't focus on anything at work, but that could also be attributed to all (students, staff) of us NEEDING SPRING BREAK!! It has been a long winter and way too long since we have had a break! I love the fact that when we get back from Spring Break we will only have 6 weeks of school left! YES!!

Too funny Debbie but that's exactly what I did this morning. I was like 'yes, our 1st day is in the 10 day forecast -- 88 and sunny . With such a raw rainy day like today, that's going to feel like heaven!!!!!

While you are hoping not to bring too many shoes I am counting the days till my trip to DSW on Friday, bring 'em on!!!!!

Today was such a gross, yucky rainy cold day that I spent most of the day standing at my kitchen counter, bagging, tagging and getting my FE gifts ready to ship. Thank goodness I got them done in time to ship I'd have to take a whole other suitcase!!

I keep joking with my kids, that "next" Friday we are leaving, not this Friday, next Friday. After having booked this cruise 18 months ago I CANNOT believe it is finally here. Can't wait to see you all!!!

I have my piles, but something can't get me to actually start putting them in the suitcase!

Instead, I'm on ebay buying an Olympus Tough, the 10 feet waterproof one. However, it cost the same as the underwater cover I wanted to buy for my old Olympus C-720.

Yesterday was wicked windy and spitting rain around here. I was going to bike the bike trail to work and quickly chucked that idea. Today is so much better.

For those of us flying Southwest, are we feeling the love right about now???? Our very cheap flight on the way down has 3 take offs and 3 landings......Pray for us! I'm clinging to the fact that some TV expert said that right now SW would be the safest airline to fly, 'cause they just checked all the planes.

We leave for Bradley Inter. Airport 11PM on the 12. It will take us 3 1/2 hours to get there (1 hour more than PVD) and then we need to park, get to the airport and go thru security, before the plane leaves at 6 am.

I know we'll be wicked early, but I'm not booking a nearby hotel as I won't sleep in fear of not getting up in time. So, we can sleep at the terminal or on the plane. Anyway security can be tough as one of my DS's is a diabetic with insulin and needles that gotta go through and another DS is autistic and doesn't like strangers touching him. Oh boy!

I still love Southwest...We just bought tickets on Southwest for our May trip to Disney. I am sure they will get the plane situation figured out. My in-laws are taking my son to Nationals this summer in Austin, Tx. They were buying the tickets last night and they don't want to fly Southwest cause of the problems. Oh well... At least the flights they chose on Continental were actually cheaper than Southwest!
Good Luck with all of your flights. That is a lot of times to go up and down. I am not a good flier, I have gotten better over that past couple of years. Trying to be a good role model for my son. However, my motto is that I want my landings to equal my take offs!
Soooo ladies....the intervention didn't work. I bought a camera today. However, it was only $128 from WalMart and it got great reviews and had everything that I was looking for. I got the Sony W350. From everything I read it looks like a great little camera. It am suppose to get it by next Wed., just in the nick of time. Now I have to figure out how to tell my DH or maybe not tell him and just see if he recognizes it!

That's what I would do.

I am having a very difficult time concentrating at work right now. I keep thinking "next week I need to...." Then it hits me, this is the final weekend we have to get everything organized.

My oldest was talking last night about her birthday. She said " For my birthday, I want to go somewhere that has a pool and a slide" I thought to myself "I have that one covered!" If she only knew.....

Our flight is nonstop and only 1.5 hours (give or take a few mins) When it was just DH & I multiple stops didn't matter. But now with the kids, it's nonstop or nothing! I don't know how my youngest will react, hopefully she won't even realize what is going on. I'm bringing Ear Planes along as well as a sucker or something to help her ears pop. My biggest concern over this entire vacation is the flight. I have many videos and games on the iPod and laptop for both kids. Guess it's good to have too many things to occupy them, right? LOL.

I don't know how old your youngest is so this may not be age appropriate...I remember when Connor was 6 we were on our flight to WDW (shocking! ) and he started crying because his ears hurt. I had nothing, because the year before he was fine, no complaints. There was a family seated in front of us and they gave us starbursts. They said they worked perfectly. So now I make sure we have starbursts and jolly ranchers whenever we fly. Last month when we flew to California I had my stash of candy and Connor didn't need any, his ears never hurt. He even told the pilot on the way out how awesome he was because his ears didn't hurt one bit!

2 nights to Nowhere - this is what we are doing.

I managed to pack ALL our clothes and shoes for 15 days trip into two big (or maybe I should say HUGE) suitcases. That is a big achievement for me.
