There are 4 of us - myself/husband & 2 kids (11 & 15). Our friends are also going w/2 kids (8 & 10). Hoping my 15 year old will get to meet other kids his age on the cruise.

I've never heard of this before and as a matter of fact it wasn't there when I checked in at 90 days out. Thanks so much -- we got 1100-1130 too.

I just posted on the big thread on the main page re this. Apparently, the earliest time available for the Dream was 10:30 to 11:00, due to the length of time it takes for disembarking. By the time I re-did my check-in I could only get 11:00 am, as well.

My outstanding question (since we're driving to port and parking there) is what time the port parking lot opens for Dream cruises. Is it still 10:00 am??

So today, based on tips I read, I called and ordered my rainforest pass. The Disney rep was so funny. I told him I was buying the pass for my birthday (which is during the cruise). He was like do you want it to say to Robin,Happy Birthday! I love you, love your husband XXXX? I thought that was hysterical. The Rep wanted to know why my DH was not calling instead! Alas, I explained I am the vacation planner of the family, so I take care of all the details. But, this guy had me rolling! Very funny! (and yes, the pass WILL say that on it now!). Cant wait to see my DH's look on his face

Also went online and finished our check in. I was reading you have to get a time (this is all so new to me, all this cruise stuff!!!!). So, I got a time. The 1st time slot was already taken, so we are there at 11:00 am.

So, if you haven't checked yourself in yet, do it ASAP for an early time!

(thats my newbie tip of the day!!!! Dont expect anymore from me, you all are veteran cruisers with so much more knowledge!!!!)

Please don't be nervous about dinner seating. You might just become lifelong friends! We've really enjoyed most of our tablemates! It's fun to compare notes on what each spent the day doing on the ship or in port. It gives you a completely different perspective on all the different cruise experiences one can have on the same ship! On our Baltic sailing last July, one couple had the entire table laughing hysterically every night with their quirky humor and funny stories.

Only once did I have a bad experience, and it wasn't because of bad tablemates. Three years ago, DH had a work conflict at the last minute and wasn't able to go on our 3-night spring break cruise after all. Since we were already paid in full, we decided I'd go anyway... solo. It was my 6th Disney cruise, so I pretty much knew what to expect. The first night, though, I was led to a table for six where I sat alone eagerly waiting to meet my tablemates... and waiting... and waiting... but no one ever showed. To say I was uncomfortable and feeling awkward is an understatement. I asked the server and head server MANY times to please move me to another table, but they wouldn't! In hindsight, I should have gotten up and left after the appetizer course because I had such a stomach ache that I couldn't even enjoy the meal. But wait, this story has a happy ending!!! The next day, I was relaying my pitiful experience to two of my new DIS friends and wouldn't you know that they had been randomly seated together at the earlier dining time AND the DH of one of them wasn't planning to eat in the dining room, so they invited me to join them and their children! It did cause a bit of a stir among the servers and head servers, but eventually it was officially approved and I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the cruise! Aren't DISers the BEST!?!?! And now the epilogue... I sailed again with one of those wonderful DISers (who I now call my friends and we've kept in touch all these years!) last July in the Baltic Sea and I get to sail with the other one again on THIS cruise!!! Anyone want to guess who this very sweet person is??? hehe

Hey - just home from work...wow I was in a meeting all afternoon and missed a lot of great info. Just jumped on Disney's website and completed my check-in...got the 11:00 time also. However, I just put photo id for everyone since I have no idea what the passport numbers are and expiration date. I also just put one credit card down for charging privileges - mine!!!!! I must remember to change that - preferably to my Dad having the charging privilieges for everyone ....just kidding!!

Hi, I requested a design from Milliepie (who I love) for just the boat name and the date of sailing. I am going to make an FE gift for every family from it.

Since Milliepie seemed so inundated with requests last year, I just downloaded the Walt font and figured out how to use her templates with Microsoft Publisher. I made quite a few door magnets which turned out great! However this year I wanted something special and I cannot design like she can, she is really talented. I also downloaded Pieces of Eight which is a pirate font!

We have a laser printer now though and I cannot use the printer for those projects any more...sigh Hope this helps

I have Microsoft publisher but I don't know that I could do the design personalization as well as the designers do. I may try one. I assume you have to use the blank templates not ones that are already personalized. Where did you download the font from?

I just reinput most of my info that I had already put in a month ago. Can't believe they didn't keep most of the info.
This is the message I got since DD & I are platinum:

Since your travel party includes Platinum or Concierge Guests, you are not required to select an arrival time. You may arrive any time during embarkation hours and board the ship at your leisure after check-in.

It's going to be interesting to see what they do for everyone arriving at the airport on an early flight and they haven't done the online check in at all.


I just made it a cash account since I didn't want to put in my credit card info this early.

I felt like a true addict today going through a withdrawal because i left my iPad at home when we took DD to her dance class; travel plus class time = 3.5 hours not being able to log in...

Congratulations on your back to school! Luckily, the next storm we are getting is on a weekend......but unluckily for our DD if her art, tennis, and craft classes she takes on Sat. morning would get cancelled...

Actually, I purchased my FE previously from Gradysmommy on ebay. The one I made was a gift for a very special Dis'er friend.

I have a question for everyone...
After the cruise we are all going to WDW for a few days. We have dinner booked at 1900 Park Fare - w/ Lady Tremaine, step sisters, prince and I think Cinderella. Anyway, I was going to order a custom cake for my parents from GF bakery to be delivered after dinner. My parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this summer... I don"t know what to have written on the cake - I don't think I should put Happy 50th since it isn't till July. I am not creative - anyone have any suggestions of what to write... I follow the custom cake thread and I just love the cakes I have seen. We got one for Connor last summer at Wolfgang Pucks, celebrating his success at AAU Nationals in Taekwondo. I had to order it in advance of the competition - thank goodness he came in 2nd in forms and 3rd in sparring. Anyway... my parents upcoming anniversary seemed like a good opportunity to order another cake.
