April 16 2005? Eastern Magic? 4/16/05

That would be great! My dd12 is excited to meet someone before she even gets on the ship. :cheer2: We are planning on doing Disney the night before we sail (still have a day left on last July's passes) but will be spending time by the pool also. We'll talk again later! This site is so cool!!!! :cool1:

:boat: Sounds great! My dd12 will be happy to meet a friend also...she will be celebrating her birthday on Friday at Castaway Cay :bday: :cake:

Enjoy your day at Disney! We will be heading that way after the cruise to use our left over passes from out Jan05 Magic Western :flower1:

Did you see the article in the Boston Globe on Dixie Crossroad? Sounds like a good place for dinner when you're in the Radisson area. If you missed it, check my thread on the cruise board.

We're leaving on 4/13 so I was going to wait 2 more days to do my double digit dance!!! :cool1: :Pinkbounc :boat: :flower1:

We are either leaving on the 14th or 15th depending on if we drive or fly. Prices are still pretty high to fly so we may drive down with some family member who are also going with us.

For the heck of it, Today I check prices for the 4/16 cruise on All Seas, it's $2k more than what we are paying!!!! :earseek:

Hi Sue from Boston,

Thanks for the tip. I just wish I would have read it a little bit sooner. I just changed my budget reservation for April 13 - 16th and now am paying $84.44. You saved me $21.36!!!! It was still the same price for the one day back to MCO.

You have to go to Dixie Crossroads if you get the chance. We went there last April and the place is sooooo good. It is about a 20minute drive from the port, but so worth it. As soon as you sit down that put a dish of little balls of fried dough covered in tons of powder sugar. As soon as you get low, they come by and give you more. No charge. I could have made a meal just out of those. If you like lobster, get the broiled shrimp with drawn butter, taste just like lobster.

Hello All,
It is official now, we just booked our flights. Arriving on the 15th and staying with a childhool friend of my wife in Orlando area. We have had the cruise booked for a while but it is more real now with the travel arrangements. We are so excited. How is everyone doing?

Just found out that we are not going to be able to go on this cruise. Things came up beyond our control and we will not be sailing the Magic.

Have a great time:) :cool1:

That is some valuable information for first time cruisers. If you like exotic drinks, get "the drink of the day". It will save you money and they are great.

Hope everyone is doing well. I thought of the cruise this morning as I woke up to 5 inches of new snow.

Last July my DW, DD and I went on the Western Carib and I loved the drink of the Day. So much so, that we were able to restock our Drink glasses with DCL Glasses. They are so cool and we got them by just buying the drinks. The Sombreros are Awesome!!!! :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1

Hi everyone. There are three of us going on the April 16th cruise, myself, dh and dd 14. So far we're planning on driving from WV. Dh wants to leave on Friday and drive all day.....yuck. I've been trying to talk him into leaving at least by early afternoon on Thursday. I think not leaving until Friday is cutting it a little short. I keep checking out the airline prices though hoping they'll come down and we can fly instead, but so far they're not budging.

Anyone made shore excursion ressies yet? I made ressies yesterday for the "Under Two Flags tour" in St. Martin, but I think we're going to do a beach day in St. Thomas on our own. I think we're just going to enjoy the beach on Castaway Cay. My dd and I thought about parasailing, but I'm sure she'll back out on me if she makes friends onboard and decides to do the teen beach instead.

I'm in major planning mode now and its seems like a long time til April.

Is anyone else starting to panic. We booked this cruise over a year and a half ago, and have read everything. Haven't been reading as much as I use to, and now I feel like I have forgoten everything. Now we have to make final payment, I have to figure out when to scheduale all of our REAS package, and we have to get a medical form for my son's food allergies. I think final payment has to be in by the 5th of Feb., but what is the earliest we can call Debbie for the REAS, and does anyone know when medical forms have to be summited by? Just wondering if they are going to be changing the Navigators since the first of the year. Would hate to make reservations, and then find out that they have changed everything. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

We also have the REAS pk. but our TA is taking care of the reservations. I think Deb usually takes appts a few months before cruise time. This is our first time doing the REAS and we are really excited about it :D Only thing is, my hubby won't do "tea" :snooty: so I have to go alone. If anyone wants to do tea w/me, your more than welcome to join me :drinking1

:boat: :flower1:

Yes, I'm starting to panic a bit, just dig out the passporter to read again and I printed the cruise guide from All Ears as well. I'm still on the fence about REAS, got to look at that again, does anyone know the new price? If any of you have made excursion plans, please share them. Princessdaisy, I would love to do 'tea' with you if your hubby decides not to.
