April 15, 2006 - Spring Break -

Good for you. I am still waiting for Southwest to post their flights. Right now they are only booking for Feb. So we have to wait a few more weeks. Midwest express is going for about $300/pp for the non stop flights, but I am holding out to see what Southwest has. Lets just say I hope it is worth the wait.

I paid $2k for the four of us via Jet Blue

Non-stop NYC to MCO

it is up to $2,400 now if we didn't book right away

- David

Ouch! David... that had to hurt! However, knowing you have tickets and that it's with an airline that isn't in trouble... that is a peaceful feeling!

Mary, I started my notebook today with all the "hints" and ideas that I've picked up from the board... I'm starting to obsess about planning this trip... :rotfl2: What in the world will I do when it's over? Oh, plan another one... :rotfl:

Have a great work week! Take care! :wave2:

I know exactly what I will be doing after the cruise- Scrapbooking the entire trip. :flower: That will take a little bit of time, but I am actually already starting to get some ideas and putting them together. Remember I told you about the autograph book, well that will be the first version of the scrapbook and it is almost done. So that will be a huge chunk of it all. :goodvibes

I want to buy the airline tickets so bad but I just have to tell myself to wait for Southwest. We don't get Jet Blue here in Kansas City, so SW is my safe bet. Southwest only releases their flights 6 mo in advance. I hope I can keep the tickets to less than $1000 for the 3 of us. :earseek:

I love my notebook of tips and ideas!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
It will help me out lots when I get ready to pack. Another idea is those space travel bags, I used them when I went to Ireland and it saved me lots of space in my bag and the great thing was my bag didn't weigh over the 50 lbs mark when I flew back to the states.

Well I will catch up with you all later-

Hey guys-- where are you all? Not too much has changed on the boards lately, maybe that's why.

Kimmie-
Have you found any other kids on your cruise yet for Noah to play with? I hope so.

Well I will talk to you guys later-

Nope, nada, not a one.... yet. :confused3 I'm sure there will be some NON Dis kids on the cruise but gosh it's been fun getting to know you guys! Sure you don't want to do a back to back cruise? :rotfl2:

Hey guys!!! How is everyone? I've totally given up on anyone from DIS being on my cruise that has kids.... I posted a thread asking if this happened to others and I'm not alone!

So.... Noah's birthday was yesterday. Remember all the EBay stuff I found? HE LOVED The Invisible Woman that we had been looking for months to find... The Pirates of the Caribbean figures aren't really "action" figures for a young one.. the age on the box as 12!! I didn't notice this until he was opening them and by then it was "too late". I've told him those are special ones that he can only play with when Mommy's around.

Work is nuts this week since my assistant is on vacation. (Who approved that?).... and I sponsored a luncheon at the client site for my ex boyfriend today.... :bitelip: What was I thinking? Just sitting here now covering my gray roots... he he he.

Hope you guys are all well... I'll check in soon!!

It was good to hear from you Kimmie. Your life is just so busy.

This thread hasn't been the same since you left. I guess everybody is busy with all their kids school activities.

I haven't done much about the vacation lately. I need a kick in the butt I guess but I keep watching the calendar and it just isn't ticking down fast enough for me. :rolleyes1

Well until we talk again- :wave2:

Howdy all

We just came back from Party City and purchased pirate costumes for the 4 of us, we are now ready for Pirate Night !! There will be many pirayes roaming tha magic that night ! pirate:

- D pirate:

Hey David I did the same thing this week. Ryan told me though that I wasn't scarry enough. I told him girl pirates just aren't as scarry as boy pirates are. pirate: OH well we should all be ready for the Pirate night now.

Hey my hula girl on my countdown ticker is finally moving (very slowly I might add) but is still moving!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Talk to you later :wave2:

You are too funny.... You guys sail out on Saturday and Noah and I arrive Tuesday Morning... so we are 182 days! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :Pinkbounc

The daisy path ticker doesn't make sense to me though... if you are 5 months, 4 weeks and 1 day... and I'm 6 months and 1 day... isn't that the same?

a 31 day month is officially 4 weeks (28 days) and 3 days .........

The 2007 prices came out today and everyone is clammering about how incredibly high they are. For me, they are actually a bit less than when I started the booking process and changes, etc... which was July. Did you book really early? If so, if you compare it to the 4-6-2007 sailing, how much more expensive is it? :confused3

On a personal note, I've been home all week with Noah... horrible ear infection that caused blisters on the inside of his ears. He has such a high tolerance for pain.. he NEVER had a fever and only complained AFTER he started the first round of antibiotics (Augmentin) but it took Zithromax to knock in on it's you know what... On top of the ear problems, he was first diagnosed to have Chicken Pox... but that was the health clinic. I took him to the pediatrician and he thought it was eczema (sp) or ringworm.... Ewwww... how does one get ringworm? :rolleyes1 It's not, afterall... because the cream the Dr. prescribed pretty much cleared it up in 24 hours... :cloud9:

Needless to say, I've been home, up late, etc... and David... I'm on your heels for # of posts! :rotfl2:

So - how are you all doing???? Super glad that we aren't trying to cruise during hurricane season. I was lurking on the thread that is leaving this Saturday... they are so many unanswered questions!!! God Bless everyone in Wilma's path.... :grouphug:

I usually book 15-18 months early

I saw your post on the thread regarding the new prices

It is not easy for me to compare because Cat 2 and 3 prices are not published online - i would have to call up

As long as demand and energy prices are what they are, prices will always go up

this is also why Disney is in no hurry to build another ship

I'm really excited, I booked a B2B 02/03/07 & 02/10/07 and it was $1,300 cheaper than the same cruises in 2006. It will be a 36th Anniversary for us 2/12. Can't wait for the Spring Break Cruise I know they'll be lots of kids.
