Greetings! I hope it's not too late to join! We will be on this sailing as well and I wanted to jump on and say hello.

We have been on two other DCL sailings: the Magic Eastern Caribbean in Sept 2011, and the Fantasy Eastern Caribbean in Oct 2012 (the Hurricane Sandy sailing). We've been planning this one for a few months now, but didn't want to get too involved because we haven't told the boys yet. They find out on Christmas, so hopefully they can jump in on the kids conversations.

I haven't gone back to read most of the older postings, but I think I saw there is a Facebook page. I'll have to find out where that is and join up. We probably won't do FE's because realistically we always end up with too much luggage and not enough time.

Welcome Swim Taxi!!!! I suppose your boys must be in swimming if your calling yourself Swim Taxi. My oldest daughter is a competitive swimmer in Conn. Have 3 daughters Megan 13, Caitlin 11, and Lauren 7. Hope to see you on the facebook site. That is where it seems a lot of us chat.

Hi welcome- There is an active group on Facebook if you have an account. It's under Disney Fantasy April 12, 2014 ( a closed group). You would need to ask to join in. There are about 3 other families that I know of (which includes myself) from NC area. Where about are you. If you're interested in FE (Fish Extender- giving little gifts) contact ccollina71 who is in charge of that or if you have questions about that, get in touch with her. If you don't do FB then keep on asking on here the DIS group board or main board. Not as active but there are a few that do look on here every now and then.

Hopefully someone answered this for you already. Roll Call is simply a listing of who is on the cruise. You can be listed in the roll call as a way for us to get to know you, without any obligation to do FE groups or any of the other shenanigans that we have planned. If you really want to get to know everyone and be included in "happenings", please join our FB group. Be forewarned, it's not for the faint of heart. LOL. Unfortunately, we have all kind of migrated to our FB page, so info on this page is scattered at best. Hope this helps.

DH and I will be traveling with our two kids... DD Kennedy (Age 11 and THRILLED to be Edge eligible this year) and DS Nick (Age 9).

I just found out last night that my father, his wife, her kids and grandkids are all going on this cruise in April. I'm sending them information and links about the Fish Extenders and links to this thread. If its something they want to do, I'll have them contact you to join one of the FE groups.

Hi to Everyone!

We just finally commited to this cruise and are paid in full. Now we just need to meet some DIS friends to get the party started!

This will be our family's 11th cruise on DCL, but our first on the Fantasy. My twin DDs don't know about this trip yet, but will be eager to correspond with others in their age range once the word gets out. Trying to keep them focused on school right now (you all know how that goes).

DDs will be celebrating their 11th bday on this trip but are experienced Edge veterans (they were able to get in on our last 3 trips). They know the Wonder and Magic inside out, but will be looking for some new friends to go explore every aspect of their new Fantasy playground.

We were just in Grand Cayman in October, so may be able to answer questions anyone might have. We've been to Cozumel a few times as well, but usually just hang on the ship and enjoy the quiet. It will be our first time to Costa Maya and hoping to snorkel if anyone has any info on that. We usually book our own tours as opposed to DCL excursions. Plenty to do on Castaway Cay, of course.

Otherwise, it's nightly wine/cocktails for us before dinner, and we welcome anyone else to join us who is so inclined. We can answer any questions about bringing your own beverages if anyone needs.

Do we have any meetups or anything else planned at this point? Probably joining the FE, but need to verify with DW first. We don't currently do Facebook, but may look into it if that's where all the action is. More to follow...

Anyone interested in sharing a round trip van from Orlando to Port Canveral and back? We've got 4 of us, but can get a van for up to 8 people for a total of around $280, plus tip (round trip!).

We've done rental cars/limos/shuttles before, but thought we'd try the van/limo route this time. DCL is charging $70 per person (rt) for their bus these days (I believe), so it's very economical to share a van at around $40 per person (rt) for private service. Anyone have other ideas/options??
