So ... what are everyeone's thoughts on an onboard dismeet?

If we all post some family pics, we could probably meet in the terminal while we are hanging around!! there will be plenty of time to kill, that's for sure.

The first day might be best before all of the spa reservations and palo bookings, etc ... maybe right after the sail away party?

While the subject is up ... what are some thoughts on the local CT meet up??

We haven't heard from a handful of other norwalk/wilton dis'ers but I can certainly send private messages if they aren't checking the meet thread as of yet.

I think maybe we've all agreed on the Norwalk Aquarium, right? Now to just pick a date and time and go from there. If there are any dates in March that your family CANNOT attend, please let me know as soon as possible!! We will try to accommodate everyone, obviously!!!

We could try to do sometime during the February school break next week ... or if that is too soon, we can definitely do a day in March as well.

An onboard meet or terminal meet sounds great for us especially since we won't make it to a CT meet. I will post some pictures as soon as I can come up with time to do it-perhaps tomorrow when we have yet another snow (ice!) day.

Let us know-the veteran cruisers may know a good spot to meet.

However, I hope to meet most of you on board. We will be the ones in the big family group! I'll be the fattest one! My SILs are doing much better at losing weight than I am.

That what me and the daughters are trying to do too.. We all want to lose 40 lbs...we are doing about 4 lbs a month...So we will be on the same boat you are on....Eat, Drink And have fun, Diet later after the cruise.

It is very snowy here tonight. My son has just headed off to hockey in this snow storm.

The nice weather can come any time now. The cruise will be very delightful.

I signed up for a manicure/pedicure at 1:45, but I might change that.

So I have to share - this morning I got all excited about the two month mark and had to involve the boys in my excitement... So from now on whenever I think about the cruise, I mimic the sound of the Disney whistle...

I think my 10yo gets it - especially when he said last week - Gee mom, I think you are more excited about this cruise than we are! .....like, duh!

They both went off to school today singing "When you wish upon a star..." so I am slowly turning them into Disney freaks!

I've been doing that to my daughter. Everytime she comes near the computer I show her a video with the ships horn blowing, and one night I was playing it for my seven month old. Now my daughter keeps saying I can't wait for the cruise! I have a feeling it is all she talks about at school too, well that and her birthday that is in April!

HOW dressy are you dressing your kids for semi-formal night? I plan to bring DD's xmas dress for formal night, but will a cotton easter dress be good enough for semi formal night?

Do you all bring dress shoes for your sons. I hate the idea of bringing a pair of shoes for him to wear a total of 6 hours. I feel like bringing a pair of black shoe covers from his Halloween costume to put over his white tennis shoes (or maybe some of these

My dh just wears his flip flops with his khakis. His feet are under the table. LOL

The evaporation coming off the snow was amazing this morning. You would have thought someone set it on fire. My back yard is a mud hole which isn't great with two black labs. Can we say yuck!! Anyone else have doggies?

Hey Deb-
Meeting at the sailaway party (actually having a drink) sounds great too!!
I have two greyhounds Deb, and although they hate the cold, the run around like nuts in the snow and light rain..so needless to say we usually have a track going around the house, and that turns into a nasty muddy mess in the winter, and spring. In the summer it is more like a dirt path with lots of pawprints. We also have a jack russell that thinks he is a greyhound!!



Thanks Kat! The curls are nice, but she runs when I get near her with a brush! On the last cruise we convinced her to braid the top part of her hair. It was great! Less to brush through, kept the hair out of her eyes, and because of the humidity (and her age) all we really had to do was wash it and let it air dry, because the curls just squeezed close, no knots! So we keep telling her she is getting braids on the ship again.

Our Utah weather is just as crazy as the New England kind. We had sunshine and 50 degrees this morning, the cold front is now moving in and it should be high winds and blizzard conditions by the time the DH starts his drive home. Fun for him!

Glad to know we have dog lovers around. We are down to one mutt at the moment -- sort of a cross between a springer and a collie and who knows what else -- but the sweetest dog I've ever had. She's an inside dog so she doesn't get too muddy.

I'm sure anyone in the terminal will recognize our group. We won't be wearing matching shirts, but we'll sure be taking up space!

Megan's kids are so cute! You'll just have to wait to see my two beautiful DNs.

QUESTION: What website gives you the ship's whistle? I wanna hear it!
