OK -- so I just e-mailed our travel agent to see if the packets might be sent to her. I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for the heads-up that they are being sent to everybody.

CAN YOU BELIEVE WE ARE CLOSE ENOUGH FOR THEM TO BE SENDING US STUFF????

What can I expect to find in the packet?? I can't wait!!

:woohoo:

The packet is really a travel guide ... gives you detailed info as to what excursions are available where ... packing guides ... what happens when she sets sail, ect ...

NOTHING that you don't already have accessible here on the boards, really ... but still just fun to get something from them!!

Well, I'm a little confused about something ...

any previous cruisers have experience with Coral World ... the Sea Trek? I have found conflicting info as to who can do it ...

the DCL travel guide that came says anyone 10 and over ... but the Coral World website says 8 and over but weighing a minimum of 80lbs. Now, I think an 80lb 8 yr old might be a little overweight ... my daughter is 10 and although petite, she's about 62lbs, but not "tiny" by any means ... she's pretty disappointed at the conflicting info since the DCL book says 10 - she's been wanting to do this for years.

I posted on the main boards but no one has responded ... hopefully today brings new info ... and new hope!!

I finally got our travel kit! Yea!! (We live in Utah and our travel agent is in San Diego, so it took a while. Remember, we are a group of 36 and we are spread out across the western U.S.)

I wish I knew the answer to the question about the Sea Trek, but I don't. My best guess would be to go by the DCL info. It would seem that if they are publishing it they have to honor it. They might have a special arrangement with the company to allow the younger ages if they are with DCL.

I believe we are at FOUR MONTHS AND FOUR DAYS!!!!!! Or, calendar-wise, if I counted correctly, 18 weeks!

:cheer2:

Sorry about the conflicting information on the trek thing. I don't think it is the only conflict in the excursion department. I think that sometimes Disney may just have stricter standards for their excursions. The outsource the excursions and sometimes they do change companies. So, they make their own standards probably somewhat dictated by the insurance company they use.

I can't believe it is coming so soon. I am not sure I am ready to incorporate thinking about excursions into thinking about Christmas. Oh well---the problems we must bear. LOL!!

Just bumping us up!

cindyd1, I know that they have the pirate Mickey ears. I think they might have some Captain Mickey ears but I am not sure 100%, somebody would definitely need to verify them.

So ... what are everyone's plans for formal night?

Anyone going the TUX route? it's definitely less to pack if you don't have to worry about packing suits ...

my husband said yes to the tux ... so I think we are going to do it ... we love getting dressed up!!

plus they do formal pictures for you that night so I'd rather take advantage ot it and be decked out to the nines!

Hi all. My daughter collects the Mickey Mouse Ears and was wondering if they have them on the ship? :confused3

They gave them out on one cruise for the club graduation ceremony. Check with either recent cruisers on the main thread or ask when you first go into the club and ask them.

I've been monitoring the site where people post their navigators and nobody seems to be posting any recent Eastern ones. I'd like to know if the Eastern ones have changed since the ship got back from the Mediterranean.

Does anybody know anybody who's been on the Eastern cruise since September and either knows if things have changed since last spring or can post their navigators??

Today is the 12th -- FOUR MONTHS!! :cheer2:

One of my favorite sites is castawayclub dot com ... and they DO have recent Navigators ... as of 11/24.

When you open the page, right at the top of it in the big yellow box, it says Eastern Navigators Here, like the 2nd or 3rd line down.

I love this discussion board! Thanks Disney Mom for the hint about the castawayclub site. It has just what I wanted!

Merry Christmas:santa: everyone!!! Hope all is well and have a blessed and Happy New Year! Besides all the excitement of the season, I had submitted my passport on 12/8 and received it today. I am ready for some cruisin'.

Hi all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas.

The cruise will be here before we know it now that New Years is so close. I will have to start shopping for some clothes and finalizing plans. Most of them are finished; I just have to decide about getting from the airport to the boat and then to Disney for a few days after.

My kids will need clothes for the formal night since they seem to be growing like crazy.
